Dita Von Teese Is Flawless

Eat your heart(-shaped glasses) out, Marilyn Manson
Sunday, December 7th, 2008

Yesterday we got to see a few pics of rocker/painter Marilyn Manson’s “special new lady friend” Isani Griffith lookin’ all Evan Rachel Wood tryin’ to look like all Dita Von Teese and today we get to see a few gorge pics of Ms. Dita herself. Here are a few photos of Dita Von Teese at the British Comedy Awards in London, England yesterday … because, now really, where else would a buxom burlesque pin-up model/performer be other than the British Comedy Awards?

When last we saw the lovely Dita Von Teese here on the blog, she was lookin’ spectacular on the cover of the new issue of German Playboy magazine. I gotta say, Dita is a beautiful woman (not girl) and MM was very lucky to have her in his life. While he is off playing with his latest new toy, Dita is doing her own thang like the classy lady that she is. It’s always so nice seeing her lookin’ so well.

Shar Jackson For ‘The Power Juicer’

She works hard for the $$$
Sunday, December 7th, 2008

While perusing the cable television airwaves this AM, I stumbled upon an infomercial for the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer … and while this fact alone isn’t necessarily interesting, I was kinda surprised to learn that one of the “celebrity” endorsements featured in the infomercial came from none other than Kevin Federline’s original babymama Shar Jackson. Here are a few screencaps from Shar’s appearance on the Power Juicer infomercial that is airing on various cable networks in the off hours of programming:

So while the father of her children is posing on magazine covers with his children from his very famous ex-wife Britney Spears, Shar must resort to shilling for juice machines on cable TV infomercials. Isn’t it funny how life works sometimes?

In any event, if you’re in the market for a new juicer for that special loved one on your Xmas shopping list, why not try Jack LaLanne’s Power Juicer? Call now! Operators are standing by!! I’m sure Shar Jackson would appreciate it muchly!!

Merry Meet & Merry Part-y

The TV Guide
Sunday, December 7th, 2008

Yesterday afternoon I met up with my friend and fellow Chick-Fil-A afficianto Tony and we made the trek down to Redondo Beach, CA to enjoy a nice meal together at Chick-Fil-A

… before making our way around the South Bay Galleria Mall together afterwards. Since he had a party to get to last night, we parted ways and I headed over to my friend Mike’s place for his annual Xmas party. It turns out that we weren’t only celebrating the coming holidays but we were also celebrating the news that my boy Mike just made partner at his law firm! Here are a few pics of some of the folks who made it out for the soiree last night:

Mike, as usual, put out a great spread of amazing eats and we had a great time hanging out, catching up and celebrating his amazing news. We had a blast … and amazingly, partied well into the wee hours of the morning. Twas fun, twas fun.

There are a couple options on the table for tonight but I’m not sure what I’m up for. I was thinking of just going to a movie … not sure at all. It’s kinda gloomy out … not as warm either. Mebbe I’ll just end up with a blanket and a book.

Hot Dude Of The Week: Jakub

Weekend Hotness
Sunday, December 7th, 2008

Huzzah! It is time again to gawk and gander at the Hot Dude of the Week. This time around we’ve got a nice young chap who appears to be very proud of his sick abs and is ever-so nice enough to do us the favor of lifting up his shirt to give us a peek. Say hello to Jakub:

Um, yeah … if I had the discipline to work my ass out at the gym to get ab muscles like this, you better believe I’d be happy to show them off as well. See, this is why I <3 Hot Dudes of the Week like Jakub so much. They do all the hard work and we get to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Sure, we only get to admire from afar in photos but sometimes, that’s enough ;) Here’s hopin’ that Jakub will continue to work towards maintaining his sick body (and will continue to share it with us as well) and I’ll just stick to living my physical fitness dreams vicariously thru our beloved Hot Dudes of the Week :) Enjoy!!

The University Of Oklahoma Sooners Win The 2008 Big 12 Championship

Holla!
Sunday, December 7th, 2008

I have to give a major shout-out to my boys in Crimson and Cream from the University of Oklahoma for their stellar performance on the football field yesterday. After a disappointing loss to the University of Texas earlier in the season, the OU Sooners have been workin’ their asses off to prove to the nation that they kinda rule the world. After last night’s CRUSHING DESTRUCTION of the University of Missouri (62-21), the University of Oklahoma became the Big 12 Champs for 2008 and should be going up against the University of Florida for the BCS Championship:

Sam Bradford and Oklahoma wanted to drive home one point: They belong in the BCS championship game. The No. 4 Sooners did that with a 62-21 blowout of No. 19 Missouri for the Big 12 title Saturday night. Taking advantage of an opportunity many felt it didn’t deserve, the highest-scoring team in major college football history romped to a third straight conference crown and became the first to reach 60 points in five consecutive games in 89 years. “We were tired about hearing everyone talking about how we didn’t deserve to be in the game,” Oklahoma quarterback Bradford said. “It was a big motivator for us. “I don’t see how we could not be No. 1 tomorrow.” No need to worry, two is just as good, and if all goes accordingly Sunday, Oklahoma (12-1) will be in the top two of the Bowl Championship Series standings, looking at a title game matchup against No. 2 Florida on Jan. 8 in Miami. Touted as the best two conferences in college football this season, it seems appropriate their champions will play for the national title. For Oklahoma and coach Bob Stoops, it’ll be their fourth appearance in a BCS national championship game. The Sooners won their first try in 2001 against Florida State, but have lost their last two — to LSU after the 2003 season and to Southern California after the 2004 campaign. The Sooners’ losing streak in BCS games overall is four, taking some of the luster off a coach who earned the nickname “Big Game Bob” early in his tenure. No one would argue with Big 12 Bob, though. Stoops improved to 6-1 in the conference title game. No other Big 12 team has won more than two in the 13-year history of the league. This one was over by halftime. By then Bradford had already put up Heisman-worthy numbers, with 240 yards and two touchdown passes, and the Sooners led 38-7. Along the way they zoomed past Hawaii’s NCAA record 656 points set in 2006. The Sooners kept trying to put up more points until the end. Chase Daniel and Missouri (9-4) never really had a chance. Oklahoma became the first team to score at least 60 in five straight games since Tulsa in 1919, STATS LLC said. “Sam Bradford again is just sensational,” Stoops said. “The defense really stepped up. We had a huge lead before they gave up anything in the second half.” Even Boomer and Sooner, the white ponies who pull the Boomer Schooner around after OU scores, cut out early. They took a short trot after Jimmy Stevens kicked a 30-yard field goal that made it 41-7 with 9:00 left in the third quarter and called it a night. Bradford, injured non-throwing hand and all, didn’t even have it that easy. He was still playing in the fourth quarter and finished with a Big 12 championship game record 384 yards. Expect the sophomore to be in New York next Saturday when the Heisman Trophy is handed out, along with fellow Big 12 quarterbacks Colt McCoy of Texas and Graham Harrell of Texas Tech. Maybe, Texas can beat Oklahoma in that competition. Surely it won’t make it any easier for the Longhorns to watch the Sooners, a team they beat in October 45-35, play for the national title. Oklahoma and Texas finished in a three-way tie for the Big 12 South title with Texas Tech, but the Sooners’ victory over Texas Tech, combined with Tech’s win against Texas, made head-to-head moot. According to Big 12 rules, the poll voters and computer ratings used by the BCS were left to break the deadlock, and the Sooners got the nod.

Nothing stokes the fires of my inner-jock like when one of my beloved sports teams (either from Detroit, MI or my alma mater the University of Oklahoma) does well in championship games and altho I don’t talk much about sports on the blog (mainly cuz I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about) I simply have to devote some time to profess my lurve for my beloved sports teams. Well done, Sooners! You guys have been kickin’ all kinds of ass this year … here’s hopin’ you’ve got one more ass-kickin’ left in ya to wind up this college football season at the top of the heap! Boomer Sooner, bitches!!!

Madonna & Kids Visit Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Rainbow Tour
Sunday, December 7th, 2008

The A-Rodless Madonna was spotted out and about in Buenos Aires, Argentina this weekend enjoying a nice dinner with friends (including manager Guy Oseary) at El Clan restaurant. Maddy brings her Sticky & Sweet World Tour to Argentina this weekend (having to delay the opening night show for a couple of days due to the late arrival of her tour equipment) for a 4 night stint 12 years after she was there last to film her epic movie Evita. Here are pics of Madonna, Guy and co. making their way out the the restaurant this weekend:

Interestingly, New York Yankees player Álex Rodriguez was nowhere to be seen on this particular night. Since A-Rod has been seen with his “just friend” Madonna pretty much every day since Thanksgiving, I’m surprised that he didn’t make the trek down to South America to be with her this weekend … eh, mebbe he finally had to go back to the NY Yankees … or mebbe to his family. In any event, Madonna’s children — Lourdes, Rocco and David Banda — did make the trip down to South America with her and were spotted enjoying a fun afternoon together by (and in) the pool at their hotel:

HMMM … I guess it’s Maddy’s weekend with the kids. Looks like they are having a blast tho, I doubt they miss the cold London weather right about now. It’s unclear if the kids will be staying with Madonna in South America as her tour rolls on (she heads to Chile and Brazil after her dates in Argentina) but I suspect they will all be back home in NYC by Xmastime.
