Geri Halliwell Suffers An Embarassing Wardrobe Malfunction

Whoops! Geri Ginger Spice Halliwell managed to have herself a very embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet at the Children’s Bafta Awards in London, England last night. For some unknown reason, Geri managed to walk the red carpet — in front of all of the assembled press — with the bottom half of her dress ripped apart while being none the wiser. If it wasn’t for the sheer lining of the dress, the poor dear would’ve had her bare ass on full display … behold:

Oh dear, Geri. And it had all been going so well. The Spice Girl turned up to an awards ceremony looking enviably sleek and well-groomed in a ruffled red dress. In fact, with her glossy curls and understated make-up, the singer looked positively demure – a far cry from her raunchy ‘Ginger Spice’ days. And then she turned round. The 36-year-old had clearly not reckoned with the chilly winter winds on the red carpet catching one of those romantic ruffles and giving the crowds a rather revealing glimpse underneath her dress. Her unintentional peekaboo moment was all the more unfortunate as the mother-of-one was attending the Children’s Baftas … The awards, hosted this year by TV presenter Keith Chegwin, celebrate the best in children’s entertainment, from films to video games.

I mean, did no one think to tell her that her dress was ripped apart? I mean … c’mon, they even let her turn around and show off the back part of the dress as well! LOL! And how, pray tell, was she not able to feel the draft on her bare bum alerting her to the fact that her dress was ripped? What an appropriate venue to show off her almost bare bottom as well. Yikes. I hope the poor thing wasn’t mortified … even tho she’d have every right to be so. Tsk tsk.

Tina Fey Does ‘Vanity Fair’ Magazine

Funnylady Tina Fey is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine (where she belongs). Here is our first look at Tina‘s amazingly patriotic VF coverphoto and a portion of her coverstory interview:

Tina Fey has rules. They’ve guided the 38-year-old writer-comedian through marriage, motherhood, and a career that went into hyperdrive this fall, when her Sarah Palin impression convulsed the nation, boosting the ratings of both Saturday Night Live and her own NBC show, 30 Rock. Backstage at S.N.L., where “Palin” met Palin, and at the home Fey shares with her husband and daughter, the author reports on how a tweezer, cream rinse, a diet, and a Teutonic will transformed a mousy brain into a brainy glamour-puss. Tina Fey has never dated a bad boy. She didn’t even let boys she dated do anything bad. “I remember the biggest trouble I ever got into—” says her husband, Jeff Richmond, a short, puckish man of 48 in jeans and a T-shirt, cutting himself off mid-thought at the mere memory of Tina’s wrath. “Oh, my God.” (He calls himself “the Joe Biden of husbands” because he’s prone to “drop the bomb” in interviews.) Fey is sitting across from Richmond in their comfy, vintage-y Upper West Side apartment, where a lavender exercise ball lolls next to the flat-screen TV, a pink tricycle is parked under a black grand piano, and golden award statuettes abound. When I arrived, at 9:30 p.m., Fey had already put her three-year-old daughter, Alice, to bed and was tapping away on a silver Mac laptop at the kitchen counter on a script for 30 Rock, her slyly hilarious NBC comedy about an NBC comedy. She’ll return to the script when I leave, near midnight. Fey shoots Richmond a warning look. It’s undercut by the fact that she’s wedged into her daughter’s miniature red armchair, joking about squeezing her butt in and looking like Alice in Wonderland grown big in navy velour sweatpants and pink slippers. The 38-year-old Fey sips a glass of white wine and eats some cheese and crackers—all her food-obsessed doppelgänger on 30 Rock, Liz Lemon, longs to do is go home and eat a big block of cheese—while Richmond and I drink vodka martinis he has made. “What are you gonna tell?” she teases her husband. “Think this through.” Richmond wades in. “When we were first dating,” he says, harking back to Chicago in 1994, “some of the guys at Second City said, ‘Hey, wouldn’t it be a hoot if we go over—”’ ”’—over to the Doll House,”’ Fey finishes. “ ‘We’ll go to this strip club ironically.’ I was like, ‘The fuck you will.”’ Their conversation is woven with intimacy, the easy banter of a couple who knew each other long before fame hit. They fell in love quickly, soon after a Sunday afternoon spent together at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry. (“We walked into a model of the human heart,” Fey deadpans.) The writer-comedian and the musician-director dated for seven years, have been married for another seven, and have worked together in improv theater in Chicago, on Saturday Night Live, and on 30 Rock. (He composed the bouncy retro theme music.) Richmond still reassures her, all these years later: “Nothing happened. We were there for like an hour. We ate chicken, really good pasta.” And Fey still recoils. “It didn’t go great when you came back, did it? I was very angry. It was disrespectful” … I love to play strippers and to imitate them,” says Fey. “I love using that idea for comedy, but the idea of actually going there? I feel like we all need to be better than that. That industry needs to die, by all of us being a little bit better than that.” There’s a reason her former S.N.L. pal Colin Quinn dubbed Tina Fey “Herman the German.” She’s a sprite with a Rommel battle plan. Elizabeth Stamatina Fey started as a writer and performer with a bad short haircut in Chicago improv. Then she retreated backstage at S.N.L., wore a ski hat, and gained weight writing sharp, funny jokes and eating junk food. Then she lost 30 pounds, fixed her hair, put on a pair of hot-teacher glasses, and made her name throwing lightning-bolt zingers on “Weekend Update.” Speeding through the comedy galaxy, she wrote the hit Mean Girls and created her own show based on an S.N.L.-type show: 30 Rock. The comedy struggled in the ratings for two years but was a critical success, winning seven Emmys last fall and catapulting Fey into red-hot territory. Before she even had a chance to take a breath, a freakish twist of fate turned her from red- to white-hot, and enabled her, at long last, to boost the ratings of 30 Rock: Fey was a ringer for another hot-teacher-in-glasses, Sarah Palin, the comely but woefully unprepared Alaska governor, who bounded out of the woods with her own special language to become not only the first Republican woman to run on a national ticket but also God’s gift to comedy and journalism. So where does Fey go from white-hot?

Hopefully she goes on to become even White Hotter! I’ve always felt that Tina Fey was the biggest unsung hero of SNL in recent years and it took return guest spots on the show for people to realize what we have in her. This Vanity Fair piece continues on HERE and offers new insight into this absolutely underappreciated comic genius. After the jump, check out a few more hawt pics of Tina that are featured in this issue of VF mag …

Talks about starting over, setting examples for her boys
Britney Spears Does ‘Glamour’ Mag: The Interview

Last Saturday we got our first look at Britney Spears on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Glamour magazine … today, the mag has updated its official website and has posted Britney‘s interview in full along with a few more photos from the photospread … check it out:

“America’s reigning pop princess has a firm grip on fame, fortune and, more important, reality.” At least that’s how it looked the last time Glamour profiled Britney Spears, in December 2003, when we named her one of our Women of the Year. Back then, the 22-year-old was a certified pop music powerhouse. With her most recent CD perched on top of the charts, she’d already sold 28 million albums in the United States alone, was pulling in a staggering $39 million a year and had created an arts immersion camp for underprivileged children. And then the trouble began. Over the past five years, our hearts have broken again and again for Spears. No, not because of her career (she continues to be a hit-making machine), but because of everything else. To recap: two failed marriages, a custody battle and what seemed like a slow-motion breakdown. In 2006 she called herself an “emotional wreck” in an interview with Matt Lauer, then flashed the entire world in numerous no-underwear paparazzi shots. In 2007 she stunned us by shaving her head for the cameras, made several visits to rehab and attacked a photographer’s car with—remember this?—a green umbrella. She attempted a sexy “See, I’m OK” performance on the VMAs that September, only to be ravaged by critics and fans for her drowsy dancing and off-time lip-synching. Her peers went public with their concern: “She can call me and come live in our house with us for a couple of months,” Heidi Klum said in a show of support. “I would help set her straight.” Of course it wasn’t that easy. Within a month, Spears was charged with a misdemeanor hit-and-run and lost custody of her kids to K-Fed. Then, on January 3, 2008, the pop star was carried out of her L.A. home on a gurney and whisked to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Her diagnosis was widely rumored to be bipolar disorder, but her mother, Lynne Spears, has a different opinion. “I believe Britney had postpartum depression, which [in addition to]…the end of her marriage to Kevin and the enormous pressures of her career, brought her to the breaking point,” Lynne claims in her tell-all book, Through the Storm. “Something inside of her had broken and needed to be healed.” Spears was released January 5 but hospitalized again within a few weeks … The next day, while she was in a psychiatric ward, her father, Jamie Spears, signed documents in a Los Angeles court that stated his daughter was “in an immediate and substantial medical emergency.” He then became her court-appointed temporary conservator, with a say in her medical care and control over her financial and personal decisions. Her father’s first order of business: banishing some of her entourage, including taking out a restraining order against her manager at the time, Sam Lutfi. With her dad’s help, Spears began to show signs of recovery, quickly regaining visitation rights with her little boys. In the following months, the pop star was rarely photographed, caught on camera by the paparazzi only when she was driving to the gym and during a few Starbucks runs. She was even working on a new album. Soon enough, Spears fully emerged from her cocoon. MTV invited her to open September’s VMAs with a pretaped skit. The singer looked healthy and composed, making the entrance we were all hoping to see, in a sexy silver dress, a gift from Donatella Versace. The energy in the room was palpable, even on TV, and the crowd responded to a fresh-faced Spears with a standing ovation. She took home three trophies, including a Video of the Year award for her single “Piece of Me.” “It was Britney’s night,” wrote an MTV journalist. “What a difference a year makes.” Her fans seem thrilled to have her back: In October, “Womanizer,” the first single off Circus, made pop music history by jumping from number 96 to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in a week. A month later a packed Dodger Stadium erupted in wild cheers as a superconfident Spears made a surprise appearance onstage with Madonna during the Material Girl’s Los Angeles concert. Next, Spears’ documentary about her return to the pop music scene airs on MTV. And the star plans to celebrate her twenty-seventh birthday on December 2 with the release of Circus and a performance on Good Morning America. The big question, of course, is: Will it stick? Spears’ cover story with Glamour was the first of many tests, and judging from the signals she sent during two separate interviews and a cover shoot, it’s a recovery in progress. In our first conversation at a recording studio in Hollywood, she was eager to talk about the album she thinks might be her best yet, and she looked pulled together in a Forever 21 top, black Paige jeans, Chloé heels and a charm bracelet with her sons’ initials dangling prettily. But I noticed how nervous she seemed, even with her bodyguard standing nearby, and her manager Larry Rudolph and a publicist hovering within earshot. At our shoot less than a week later, her energy level fluctuated between alert (at one point, she took a break to hold a meeting about her next music video) and lethargic (at another point, she excused herself to take a nap). When I brought up the subject of depression, Rudolph cut me off and spoke for Spears, saying firmly, “That’s beyond what we want to talk about.” All that said, these pictures don’t lie. On the shoot, Spears asked her dad, “How do I look?” and the honest answer was, radiant. Spears’ team says the change in her is more than just physical. “Britney went through a dark time,” acknowledges music exec Teresa LaBarbera Whites, who worked closely with Spears on Blackout and Circus. But she “can’t wait to perform—it’s what makes her happy. And it’s so good to see her happy again.”

Thruout the course of this Glamour magazine interview, which you can read in full HERE, Britney talks about the 2008 VMAs, her new album, etc. but it’s when she talks about her children that she sounds most poignant. Also, for the first time in any of her recent press, she talks a bit about her mother Lynne Spears. Altho Britney opened up quite a lot in her MTV documentary which aired last night, this interview with Glamour magazine offers a bit more in addition. If there is still more info from Britney that y’all are lookin’ for, you might find it in this interview. Even if you’re not looking for more, the photos are deffo worth a second look.

They really love their LA Lakers
The Beckham Boys Return To SoCal, Hit The Staples Center

David Beckham, who spent the Thanksgiving holiday with his family in NYC this past weekend, made his way home to Southern California with his three sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz and immediately to the Staples Center to take in a LA Lakers game. Here are a couple pics of the Beckham men sitting courtside last night:

With Posh out of the country and soft touch David in charge, the mischievous Beckham boys couldn’t resist running amuck at a basketball game in Los Angeles yesterday. The LA Galaxy star’s little charges first appeared to be on their best behaviour as they arrived to watch the LA Lakers play the Toronto Raptors at the Staples Centre. But before too long, they slipped into a rather rascally mood. The moment David dashed off to collect some refreshments, Brooklyn, nine, and Romeo, six, and Cruz, three, seized on the opportunity to let loose … Then, in case there wasn’t enough entertainment on the court, Cruz took it upon himself to put on an impromptu breakdancing display for fans. The toddler is becoming quite the entertainer and has made a habit of dancing in front of an audience since his stage debut during the Spice Girls world tour earlier this year. David is making the most of family time ahead of his move to Milan in January. He is set to join AC Milan on loan from his club LA Galaxy in order to maintain his fitness and his spot in the England squad. But while David decamps to Italy, wife Victoria and their sons will stay in America after the couple decided against uprooting the entire family. Meanwhile, Victoria has returned to the UK for the launch of her new fashion collection. Her dresses go on sale through her website today and will also be available to purchase from Selfridges on Wednesday, December 3. The fashionista came off an overnight flight from New York wearing a dramatic white checked coat, holding her large red Hermès handbag and covering up her eyes with a huge pair of sunglasses.

Hopefully Vicki B. won’t be off in London for too long so that she can get back home to be with her family while she can still enjoy them all together. Since Becks will be moving to Milan, Italy in January the entire family needs to spend as much time together as they can. That being said, I do love seeing photos of the Beckham boys all by themselves … they’re just so much more adorable when it’s just the guys, don’tchathink?

Uses social networking sites to refute claims of a break-up
Lindsay Lohan Denies Break-Up With Samantha Ronson

Despite claims to the contrary, Lindsay Lohan has posted a message on her official Facebook profile to deny reports that she and Samantha Ronson have broken up. Additionally, the happy couple (despite how they look in these pics) were spotted out and about together as they made their way to the Echo nightclub in LA over the weekend:

This from her Facebook profile:

not breaking up

tabloids and people tell lies- they always wanna see everything and anything
good come to an end. duh

Additionally, Lindsay has uploaded a bunch of new photos to her official My Space profile, including quite a few new pics of L. Ron together:

It sounds and looks like they happy couple are still very happy together. I, for one, am relieved to hear Lindsay refute these claims. L. Ron are my fave new couple of 2008 … I am looking forward to seeing them happily together well into the new year and beyond!

The TV Guide
Tickets To The Big Top

Yesterday was a cold, rainy and absolutely dreary day. It poured from morning til night and offered not one bit of respite the whole day long … even still, I braved the elements to make my way out into the city to pick up my tickets to see Britney Spears perform in the Big Tent at the Big Apple Circus tomorrow morning:

I don’t normally like to talk about events before they occur but I am really excited to see our dear Britney tomorrow morn. I was very lucky to be in the hiz at the 2008 MTV VMAs in September as well at the LA Madonna concert where Britney showed up as a special guest … and tomorrow I’ll get to see her perform live on her birthday. It’s been a wacky year for Britney but I’m just so happy to see things going so well for her lately. I have to be at Lincoln Center at 6AM tomorrow morning for the show … so that means it’ll be an early night for me tonight.

This afternoon, now that the rain has stopped, I’m gonna try to make my way up to 5th Ave. to see the Xmas window decorations in the stores there. This will be my last visit to NYC before Xmas so I’m gonna make the most of it while I can. Fun times, y’all :)

Officially in recession, Madge & A-Rod head off to Mexico, Paris makes another album
Meets up with her sons
Britney Spears Brings Her Circus To NYC

Britney Spears, who just completed a successful yet short European promo tour delivering performances in Germany, France and the UK, has made her way to New York City, NY to round out her promo work here in the Big Apple. Grandpapa Jamie Spears had Britney‘s sons Sean Preston and Jayden James flown in from SoCal to be with their mother here in NYC. Here are pics of Britney‘s arrival at JFK airport early yesterday morning and of her sons arrival in Newark, NJ later in the day:

After watching Britney Spears: For The Record last night, I think we all know what being in NYC means to Britney … and now that she is able to enjoy the city with her children, she must be in great spirits today. Tomorrow morning, Britney will perform live on Good Morning America in the big tent set up in Lincoln Center at the Big Apple Circus. I understand that Britney is scheduled to perform at least two songs on GMA tomorrow but, beyond that, there is no further info. I suspect we’ll be seeing the same Womanizer routine she’s been performing in Europe over the past few days but I’m hopeful we’ll see an entirely new routine (mebbe for her single Circus) as well. These are exciting days for our dear Britney … not only does she release her new album Circus tomorrow …

… but she will also be turning 27 years old as well. I hope that all her birthday wishes come true this year. Thus far, she appears on the right track to make all her dreams come true again.

After the jump, check out a new preview video for her new music video for Circus

Bump watch?
Brangelina Surface In New Orleans For The Holidays

The Brangelina brood has surfaced in New Orleans, LA this weekend as matriarch Angelina Jolie (who may or may not be hiding a baby bump underneath that kinda tight dress) and her eldest child Maddox Chivan popped up in town doing a bit of shopping at the Little Toy Shop (which specializes in old skool toys):

Additionally, in other parts of town, Brad Pitt and his porn’stache were spotted zooming around on his motorcycle:

It would stand to reason that the rest of the family is in town as well. This is the first time that Angelina has been seen out in public since In Touch Weekly reported last week that she is pregnant again. It appears that she chose to wear this tight-fitting dress to prove that she is not harboring a new baby in her womb (tho, if it was early enough … she could be hiding a burgeoning baby bump under this dress in order to throw us off the track). In any event, it appears that the family has set up shop to celebrate at least part of the holidays at their home in New Orleans. Pregs or not, I’m sure that various members of family (individually or en masse) will be showing up around town in the coming days, weeks. Welcome home, y’all!!

Get into the groove
Matthew McConaughey & Family Head To Brazil

Matthew McConaughey, his babymama Camila Alves and his newborn son Levi Alves have made their way to the Southern Hemisphere to embark on a family vacay so that Camila could introduce her son to her homeland of Brazil. The family spent their Friday in Rio and then made their way to Camila‘s home in Minas Gerais. Here are a few pics of Matthew and Camila gettin’ their party on in Rio:

Aww … it looks like the happy couple were gettin’ their weekend off to a fine start. I’m sure with those drinks in hand, they were ready for anything. After the jump, check out a few more pics that show what exactly Matty and Cam got into after they finished those drinks …
