I think Jeff meant a close-up of a vagina. The penis is an external organ that hangs down, the vagina is more internal. The actress would have to be shaved and spreading her legs to see the vaginal features, like one can so clearly so on the male genitalia. Showing a bush of pubic hair is not showing a vagina. I’ve never seen a movie showing the detailed vagina, have you? That’s the point.
Breasts and butts aren’t the same as genitals.
Tell me the next time you see a clitoris.

For once? Movies are swimming with completely naked women.
Female asses are shown the most, then are breasts I think. Sure, vaginas are not shown as often but the are featured in quite a few movies (and I’m not even someone whom have seen a lot of them).
Male asses have been shown more and more but dicks are relatively taboo still.

I dunno who thinks full frontal men are more predominent in film…but I can tell you they’re wrong. I’m a gay male that wants to see penis, unfortunately it’s not out there as much as vagina.

We have doble standarts about nudity.Itis alvays the woman expoust.Im sick and tired of it.It is driving me out of theatre.I m only strait woman and like to see hot naked guys.This film I will rent for the male nudity.That is a one rare think.

Lest we not forget Eurotrip. There was like 50 wangs in one scene of that movie. It was like the front window of a butcher shop. It was like the director showed up the day wang wagling actors said they’d work for free and hired everybody. I mean EVERYBODY. What I’m saying is that scene has a lot of dick.

Christ, how is it “a pretty big step to feature male full-frontal nudity at all” these days? “Eastern Promises”, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”, “Sideways”, even “Mrs. Henderson Presents”, which was supposed to be a movie about FEMALE strippers … the list of male frontal nudity in films is freakin’ HUGE at this point. It hasn’t been a taboo in years. But full-frontal female nudity? That’s always been the real taboo. T&A is common, but below the belt female nudity in Hollywood is not anywhere near as common as actors showing penis. The real double standard is the lack of vagina in films. Boobs do not equal penis. Let’s get some A-List actresses out there to drop trou once in awhile. THAT would be “a pretty big step”.

Oh shut up, Jeff. How many times have you seen a woman objectified in movies? And have seen seen numerous full frontal shots of females? With the ‘Watchman’ they are merely sticking to the graphic novel and Dr. Manhattan just so happened to be naked throughout.

Watchmen is a graphic novel from the 80s that’s been called the “Citizen Kane of comic books. It’s set in a 1985 where superheroes have been around since the ’30s, altering history (Nixon’s still president in ’85, for example). One of the heroes is murdered, and his former colleagues (mostly retired or working for the government) start to think there’s a conspiracy afoot, perhaps linked to impending nuclear war with the USSR.

The comic twists the idea of our “standard” superheroes (Batman, Superman, Captain Atom) by showing them as complicated, flawed human beings. It’s really amazing; I’m hoping the movie adaptation does it justice.

The gal in the picture is going to throw up; that happens whenever Dr. Manhattan transports her anywhere. It makes sense when you read the book. ;)
