‘The Hills’: Heidi Finally Sees The Light?
ATTENTION: 'THE HILLS' SPOILER ALERT WARNING

Last night’s ep of The Hills really tried to make Audrina Patridge‘s storyline the central plot but, sorry to say, her life isn’t nearly interesting enough to anchor a single episode (let alone an entire TV series, which is why Whitney Port will be starring in The City and Audrina is thanking her lucky stars for another season of The Hills) for me. The drama surrounding Lauren LC Conrad allowing the “homeless” Holly Montag to move in with her was far more interesting, IMHO:

But, you can’t blame Audrina for trying to play a more central role on the show … time is running out for the reign of The Hills and she is desperately trying to turn her Hills stint into something larger. Yeah, good luck with that. In any event, there was palatable drama to enjoy in last night’s ep. After the jump, find out what fallout came from LC‘s new houseguest on the ep titled One Last Chance

Let’s get the Audrina stuff out of the way first … she continued to settle into her new place, still plotted to get Justin Bobby to move in with her and he still kept her at arms’ length — and bought her a tight white t-shirt that she is supposed to wear braless. They bore me. The end. The real drama came from Holly moving in with LC and Lauren Lo Bosworth. As soon as LC broke the news to Stephanie Pratt, she was at Speidi‘s apartment 7.5 secs later and was spilling the news to the gruesome twosome themselves. Heidi Montag looked shocked, Spencer Pratt looked livid and Stephanie looked pleased with herself that she has a reason to exist on this show. Earlier in the ep, Heidi went crawling back to SBE to get her job back and was hired back on a conditional basis. Sam, the big boss man, banned Spencer from his sight and Heidi seemed OK with that condition. Once Spencer started bagging on Heidi‘s mom (calling her “stalker mom” again) it looked like Heidi had had enough … tho, it’s hard to tell cuz she tends to offer that head tilt, annoyed look all the time and it’s difficult to ascertain if she really means biz this time. While I think a storyline where Heidi finally throws Spencer out of her life would make the fans really happy … it will never happen. Never. Spencer just seems to get more and more douchey with each passing ep. It’s not even fun to hate him on the show anymore. I gotta say, it’s getting less and less fun to watch this show because the believability has gone right out the window. Next week’s ep will deal with the rumor that LC hooked up with Justin Bobby behind Audrina‘s back. I can’t get over how that rumor just feels so contrived, so out of whack with reality that I didn’t even give it a second thought when it came out … and here we are, weeks later, about to watch it acted out on TV. The show was so much better when it wasn’t so obviously being based on fake drama (I mean, more obvs fake drama than the usual fake drama we’re used to). I fear I’m losing my intense interest in this show … and I don’t know what would rejuvenate me at this point. We’ll have to see how the rest of the season goes but … it occurred to me last night that this might be the last season for me. Did y’all like last night’s ep? Are you interested in seeing another season of this stuff?

I do still like the show, but I cannot stand Audrina and it’s really annoying how they keep trying to make her a more central character – she is easily the least interesting person on the show, including Stephanie Pratt. Audrina is just Heidi with dark hair in my opinion – selfish and willing to do just about anything to be famous. Heidi tolerates the way Spencer talked about her friends and the way he talks about his family and hers, and Audrina has tolerated Justin’s poor treatment of her for a long time and done virtually nothing about it, except halfheartedly complain and then cave a minute later.

With regards to the alleged Lauren/Justin hookup, I laughed when I heard that a few months ago, because it’s so utterly absurd. Lauren has disliked Justin from the first day she met him and has always been there for Audrina, and Justin has treated Audrina poorly time and time again, and yet Audrina felt she should go on Ellen DeGeneres’s show and discuss it, basically calling Lauren a lying tramp and a bad friend. I have absolutely no idea why she thought anyone would believe that Lauren would ever betray her like that, but I suppose since she’s so pathetic and desperate to make herself interesting, she had to do something. It is truly sad the lengths some people will go to in order to garner attention. I’m looking so forward to Lauren telling her off…

Spencer is a DICK WITH EARS Y’ALL. I said it before I’ll say it again. Heidi won’t learn till he’s bangin’ some porn-reject and she is at home with the kids wondering if he’ll come tonight. Sad, but it’s gonna happen….you wait and see. I think I would like her more if she wasn’t with him.

I’m so over it all… its just become so fake. I quit watching a while ago, but for whatever reason watched last night. The only thing that would keep me hooked would be if Heidi would ditch Spencer for good and if LC and JB did not hook up.

  4. bOOO says:

p.s. when is someone going to tell Heidi she’s a terrible actress?

  5. Phil says:

    NEXT TIME ON THE HILLS….
    Lauren: “YOUR JUST LIKE HEIDI!”
    Audrina: “NO I’M FUCKING NOT!”

laugheeedddddd my ass off… something on the Hills finally seemed real haha

Total snooze…I fell asleep 10 minutes into the ep. We need better/real drama. Heidi if you are reading…why all the makeup? Looks like too much on TV, I can’t imagine in person…

You know I just think that Spedi needs to end and I dont know if I believe their relationship, I mean all their photo ops seems like its more for the show or just trying to hard to prove to the public that they are a couple, perhaps maybe they are better off without each other.
What about what I saw somewhere prolly people magazine about how Heidi and LC are friends again, I dont know this show is just sooo messed up but soo addicting!!

“The Hills” is a pop culure stable. As long as there’s shows like “Real Chance at Love” or that show searching for the best makeup artist, then “The Hills”, will be around because it came out before alot of reality show garbage we get now. By the way “The Hills” is named after places in LA, Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills, etc. That came from Audrina’s lips. Oh and Justin Bobby is not a loser, remember Lo gave him that name. Justin is a former pro surfer, plays guitar, tennis, drums, has a band The Ed Stanley Band, and is a hairdreser for Maroon 5.

  11. dANIEL says:

uhhh you always go for the girls that are lame….. audrina is awesome and is by far the most goodlooking girl on the show….

  12. kiwi says:

As much as i dont like spencer i think he is too funny when he was talking about holly and said ” shes even worse than stephanie” and stephanie was sitting right there i couldn’t stop laughing

I’m ready for this show to be over. I used to tune in every Monday but that turned into watching the 80,000 repeats that play on MTV instead of actual music videos. Then I resigned myself to reading about it on Pink. It just got waay too fake for me. It would help if we stopped seeing these people in magazines out and about when the cameras aren’t rolling. Seeing Spiedi fighting and then seeing pics of them happy as can be hours later just doesn’t do it for me anymore… and Justin Bobby? Really? Because she can’t find ANYONE better than that?!

  14. Erin says:

can’t wait for the City and a show without Spencer. He irritates me to no end… I’m so sick of his douche-bag ways….and I don’t feel sorry for Hiedi. She puts up with it for fame it seems…

  15. Emily says:

if it were any longer than a half-hour show (and it’s barely 20 minutes without commercials – gotta love tivo) i would not watch it

  16. bee says:

it’s becoming a weekly chore to watch the hills… though, with that being said, i REALLY want freakin spencer to find his ass homeless on the street. that episode i would be happy to watch!!

  17. shanny says:

Sadly, i am so sucked into this show and my hubby gets mad if I delete it off TiVo before he sees it. I am not looking forward to The City, but I am sure we will watch it.

  18. Stacey says:

TRUEEEE THAT (to everything said above). Really, I’m just sick of seeing weak women submit to douchey guys! Fortunately, I have an idea of what a *real* man has to offer. Where the hell are the nice guys?? Just when I thought Whitney was going to get involved with some sweet model (sounds like an oxymoron, I know) she runs off with some sleezy–but hot– musician and leaves good ol’ whats-his-face in the dust! Anyhoo, I still watch. Mainly to make myself feel awesome about my relationship decision.

  19. blah says:

i’m so over Heidi .. where’s Audrina?? she’s really the only 1 i give 2 bits about. last i heard she was working with stylist chick Kira Plastinina … anyone know anything about that?

  20. Ashley says:

Did anyone notice the voice overs in this episode? When LC and Audrina are at the bar, you will notice that the camera only shows the side of Audrina’s face, but you can still see her lips. They are very obviously saying something different than what the subtitle says she is saying. ALSO in the scene with Heidi and Spencer, they aren’t showing Heidi saying this, but if you just listen to the audio the sound and volume of her voice changes when she says something along the lines of her job not being the only thing that Spencer has lost for her…PLUS he didn’t even respond to that, which was A HUGE insult. Not real, boring, Zzzzzzz. Every week I say, ” Why am I watching this?” Plus they spill all the beans of what could be interesting in the previews.
