Robert Pattinson Channels His Inner Salvador Dalí
Even tho the Twilight movie hasn’t been released in theaters just yet, Robert Pattinson is already thinking about his first post-Twilight film Little Ashes. Here is the poster artwork for his arty indie film which tells the tale of 18-year old Salvador Dalí (played by Pattinson)’s arrival at university in the 1920’s, his desire to become an artist and his romantic relationship with his schoolmate and friend Federico Garcia Lorca (played by Javier Beltran):

Oh yes … this movie sounds like a far cry from R. Pattz’s stint as beautiful vamp Edward Cullen in Twilight. But I am very interested to see him play a role like this. We’ve already seen him rock a full face of facial hair but this is one of the first times we’ve seen him with the trademark Dalí ’stache. It looks good, yes? Will any of y’all be seeing this film when it gets released next year? Do you suppose the Twilight Army of fans will come out in support after the excitement over the Twilight movie begins to wane?

I don’t think this film will translate to Twilight fans – even with the appeal of R Pattz, but it will be a great movie for the indie-loving art crowd!

I’ll definitely see it!

It’s two of my favorite things together! Salvador Dali, and the beauty that is Robert Pattinson.

The film has already been seen by a lot of people and it’s said to be REALLY amazing. And the love scenes are beautiful. I can’t wait to see it!

I’m a huge Twilight fan and this is definitely something that would interest me.
The hopes of seeing R.Pattz with another guy? FRONT ROW, thankyouverymuch!

I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this movie. And he seems to be really proud of it as well when he talks about it in interviews. I also want to see his movie
How to Be. I think he just picks really great roles. Twilight is such a departure for him, but thats b/c he didn’t fully realize what he was getting into. If he did, I wonder if he (and Kristen for that matter) still would have done it.

Twilight is so popular now…even in my country.

Something tells me that those who read Twilight won’t be at all interested in anything involving Lorca.

A film about something real? A famous artist? Heh, yeah….I can’t see the Twilight fans flocking to see that, quite honestly. Although I bet they think/wish the story of Twilight was real.
That tache looks a bit like a bit of pipe cleaner, though :P
*I* would probably see this movie, just because his work was so interesting, and we didn’t really look much at the artist behind the art.

I am just glad to see a Dali movie. I have been to his museum in Florida and his life was so diffrent and full of twists and turns that showed in his artwork. I hope this film will be a tribute to Dali as well as show Pattinson’s range as an actor.

I am super excited for this and how cool is that I read about this the day after I just did a research paper on some of Lorca’s works and his connection to Dali?

heck yes i will be seeing this movie…. aside from the fact i think rob is beyond beautiful, the movie looks amazing. just because i love twilight, doesn’t mean i won’t like movies with more substance.

I agree with Julie completely. I am a HUGE fan of Dali’s work and I am thrilled they made this film. I’d see it with or without Pattinson, but I am so glad he is in it. I very much look forward to seeing this.
