this skit is funny but in obama’s campaign its about whats really happening out there. REAL stuff.not everyone is rich, not everyone is a celebrity…
mccain is a good sport about SNL, fine… maybe he should just join SNL and make it his proper job! since he’s good at it…

I have to say it might have been hilarious but making fun of Obama’s infomercial was a bit lame in my book. I mean Barack had real people who are struggling in that ad and for McCain and Elisabeth Hasselbitch to say that she thought it was boring and him to make fun of it. I just think its a bit lame.

I thought it was hilarious too! He comedic timing was excellent at the Alfred E. Smith dinner a few weeks ago too….

The sad thing is I heard many of his Repub base (Pat Buchanan!) criticizing him for coming across ‘soft’ instead of presidential.

Well I always felt McCain was better suited for the entertainment industry than the presidency. He’s a great man and Obama couldn’t have had a better running mate. I still don’t think he can win but I’ve got all the respect in the world for him and I hope he will continue his efforts in D.C with a government that might actually listen to him for a change.

Hilarious! He was a good sport. I liked how he stayed for the entire show too. He didn’t just do his bit and then take off. He was there at the very end -along with everyone else- when they all come out and say goodnight. He even gave Tinay Fey a little peck on the cheek. It was sweet.

Yeah, I enjoyed the sketch. I was very disappointed with The View sketch. How could they make that unfunny?

Although I am not voting for him, I liked it. I thought it was cute. Not to turn negative, but how ironic is it that Obama was criticized for a scheduled appearance? He cancelled b/c of all the criticism. But McCain and Palin can do it and it’s OK. What a double standard. Oh well, I liked the fact that it made McCain a little more personable (sp?) The SNL appearance could actually give him a boost on Nov. 4.

He did a great job! I enjoyed it and thought it was ballsy of him to come on 2 days before the election. Things must be getting hectic for all the candidates.

But, I have to give props to Ben Affleck in the first few skits of the show. The one at Target, where we was a ghetto white guy hitting on Kristen Wiig. Loved, loved, loved it!

I thought he was funny but it was hard to believe he is running for president and that the election is 2 days away. I felt the same thing about the Sarah Palin appearance. They definitely came off as good sports but I can’t imagine they are feeling much like laughing right now so the whole thing just seemed…odd.

The episode as a whole was pretty mediocre I thought. I think I was missing Amy Poehler. The musical guest was terrible. I liked the Keith Olbermann sketch though, that was pretty funny.

No surprise here, but I thought it was great! McCain has been the host of SNL and has made other cameos..I like that he has a sense of humor..And I’m glad that you, Trent, can look past your political preference actually like what he did..I’ve already gotten negative responses from friends who didn’t like it just because he’s not who they’re voting for..Lame..
