Michael Phelps Does ‘GQ’ Magazine
14-time Olympic Gold Medal-champ Michael Phelps is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of GQ magazine which celebrates the Men of the Year. Along with a few other Men of 2008, Phelpsie graces one of four covers of this issue which is out on newsstands now. Here is his coverphoto and a couple extra photos of the athlete from inside the mag:
Say what you will about the lad from the neck up but he has got a bangin’ ass body like nobody’s biz. MMM. Undoubtedly chosen for his stellar performance at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China (where he won 8 Gold Medal) this past August, I think Phelps makes a great choice as one of the Top Men of 2008. Jon Hamm is brilliant, and is on the best show on TV (Mad Men) and will also be in “the day the earth stood still”.

Brandon Flowers almost looks like that MTV VJ (I’m totally blanking on his name) in these pics. I definitely didn’t think it was him at first. Must be cause I’m used to seeing him with the eyeliner. Believe it or not, this is actual Phelps after gaining weight. He was more cut in Beijing. It looks like he’s still eating like he swims for hours a day, even though he is taking some time off. And yet, he still has a great body. No fair.

I was hoping I would get the Jon Hamm cover(I subscribe), but unfortunately, I got the one with Phelps on the cover. Now I have to go and purchase the Jon Hamm cover. He’s that great!!!!!

Poor M Phelps.He’s cursed. The ultimate BUTHISFACE. Then again, I like my men hairy and stocky to average. He’s too tall and looks like Lurch from the Addams Family. But hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Just ask Blake that about Amy W.

Shelby and Lilly..how many drugs have you taken today? You really think that face is attractive? Umm ok. I’ve always loved non-conventional beauty, but Michael is just NOT attractive in the slightest. He didn’t smile on the cover because he looks a tad bit better when he is not smiling. I don’t need perfection by any means, but he just nasty!

haha you are so f’d up. Pete W is much cuter than Michael Phelps. He doesn’t turn me on, but he’s still cuter. M Phelps has the longest, most unattractive face I think I’ve seen in years. Look at the responses on Pink. Almost NO ONE thinks like you. He’s not pretty, he’s not handsome. He has a swimmer’s body. Without that, no one would even look at him, no matter how many drinks they have consumed. I can only guess you are around 18 or younger. I can’t believe you think he’s appealing. You’re nuts.

Phelps did good in the Olympics (actually, amazing), but the hype was kind of annoying. And I personally do not find him or his daily calorie intake attractive, he still is a great athlete!

If I was 18 do you think I’d be remembering the 2000 Olympics so clearly? What does age have to do with it anyway? I’m old enough to have seen many men and in person and in print Mr. Phelps is amazing.
Everyone has their own taste, but damn, you are wrong. To say he may not be of your particular type would be fine, but to call someone else retarded because they see his face as gorgeous – it just makes you look like a judgmental ass. Sorry…but it does.

@ Avi: There are a lot of women I know – and I say women, not teen girls – who think Phelps is sexy. I don’t know why you’re so bitter about it. Personally, I’m not into baby faces and pretty boys. I like tall men with strong but lean physique. Add some nice bulge to that and I’m happy. Men should be men.
