WTF…last time I checked Portland Oregon wasn’t a coastal city, and its far from dreary. Whoever wrote this is a complete jackass. Its actually a really upbeat and vibrant city, one of my most favorite cities to visit! Family lives there. And Kristin Stewart looks fugly here. Way fug. So apparently the people at Teen Vogue have shitty writers and could care less about how young actresses look on the cover of the mag. What a joke.

XD lol i dont realy like her and dont find her attractive in general, but when i first saw this i was like wow, finaly a nice picture and everyone here is hating it jajajaj :P

She was excellent as the unrequited love interest in “Into the Wild” (Excellent movie if you haven’t seen it.) I think she’s got the chops to pull off Bella.

Glad she’s getting a stylist, but I wouldn’t hire the one from Teen Vogue!

She looks much better in the other photos you’ve posted – this is pretty unflattering. I think they made here eyes look too pale and the short hair/pulled up hair thing isn’t working in her favor.

Haha, she looks like a boy. Michael Angarano and her look cute together. I’m shocked the journalist didn’t list Speak as one of her important roles. She shined in that movie. I don’t want to speak too early (I think most of us did for Evan Rachel Wood) but she’ll be a phenomenal actor.

The picture is horrible, its a cover photo! and this is what they chose!?! come on even us “experts” wouldnt put a crappy photo like that on a magazine, she takes gorgeous pictures, especially high-end ones, why would they try to down play her so much? n what the hell! she doesnt even match. Shes a beautiful girl, why chose a sucky photo?

I like Kristen Stewart because of Into the Wild. I agree about the picture, and I must take issue with the description of one of the best cities in the world, Portland, Oregon as a “dreary coastal city.” I mean, yes, it rains a lot, but it’s a gorgeous city. If I weren’t living in NYC, I would probably live there.

this picture is so unattractive and I can’t understand how it would be appealing to teen girls. She looks like shes gone through chemo and hell and then was put in front of a beach for good measure. Maybe they were going for the emo look?

I’m not gonna lie, I was shocked to see this as the cover, but I kinda like that she’s going all natural. Its totally Bella – which I can see her playing the role effortlessly. I can’t wait for this movie to come out, and I’m almost dying for her next book to be finished! Love the series & recommend it to ANYONE & EVERYONE!!! :)

Yeah, I agree. This is a TERRIBLE picture of her, she really does look like a boy in it. I mean, she can look really pretty– like in that Vanity Fair spread or even in normal times, she also looks older than she is– I would have never thought she was only 18. I actually just watched Into the Wild yesterday and I was impressed. I’ve always thought her as kind of a sullen girl, simply because she always looks like she’s in a bad mood in her interviews, but I think she might just make a good Bella.

i’m not a fan of the picture.
i remember seeing her for the first time in panic room and… honestly, i thought she was a boy at first. HAHA. =X
but i think shes a perfect bella. the image i got of her in my head when reading the books is that she’s kinda awkward, plain and tomboyish… but strikingly beautiful at the same time… and i think that’s kristen to the T. she seems so laid back like the girl next door, but when dolled up is incredibly gorgeous.

Totally agree. She looked far better in the Vanity Fair spread, but maybe this more realistic represention is a better image for the impressionable readers of Teen Vouge. I, however, enjoy her most when she appears with her hottie co-star Robert P.

Can’t stand the picture. I like her as Bella, though. She looks very girl-next-door, which is a good thing. I did picture Bella to be very plain in ways, but at the same time pretty enough that all the boys at school wanted her.
