Im in FL, and i voted for Barack, and NO on 2. (Amendment 2 here in FL seeks to disqualify any type of legal relationship OTHER than marriage, and add a specific line in our constitution that defines marriage as “one man one woman”. This also seeks to eliminate rights and benefits for civil unions and legal partnerships.)

I hope that we can go from “YES WE CAN!” to “YES WE DID!!” :)

I live in Vermont and we didn’t get stickers or a chance to vote no on 8! I really wanted a sticker and a chance to say no. But our lines were short. I made it through the line in 2 minutes. I want a sticker tho D;

Wow! Well done to everyone who voted. I still can’t believe that some of you have to wait in line for so long. In Aus, you get annoyed if you have to wait for more that 10 minutes. I think everyone would vote a lot more if there were just more places for you guys to vote. It’d be a much fairer system if it didn’t take up your whole day.

Good thing you voted in L.A. instead of at home, Trent. They handed out flyers to voters in A2 saying that if they caught you photographing your ballot, or taking pictures in the polling place, your ballot would be confiscated and you would be evicted! I would have loved to have taken a photo of my ballot but I wanted it tou count.

Our touch screens print out a confirmation that scroll through a little window so you can see that your choices have been made correctly, so I mostly trust it.

LOL .. it’s not a punchcard, it’s kinda like a scantron sheet with a special pen to ink the circles. Back in Michigan I voted on an old machine where you had to turn the lever. In Oklahoma, it was a paper ballot where you had to connect lines next to the candidates name. Honestly, I prefer all of these ways to vote over electronic/touch-screen machines … those things scare me cuz I’m not sure I trust the folks in charge of counting those machines.

Wow.. deleting comments, real professional. Looks like you’re enforcing tactics that you vent about daily on your blog. I guess only people who think and act like you are accepted at your blog, kind of reminds me of “separate but equal.” Way to show that liberals really are the most intolerant people !
