Gothy film director Tim Burton is hard at work on a new big screen live-action adaptation of Alice In Wonderland and, of course, Johnny Depp has been cast in a major role. HERE is our first look at Depp in full costume as The Mad Hatter:
As far as Mad Hatters go, I don’t think Depp is as jovial as Disney’s version but looks more menacing than the Batman villain. I think I like this look … it’s deffo very Burton. What do y’all think?

i don’t hate tim burton’s movies as a hole, but i really don’t like when these two team up. at all. i am sad that they are ruining another thing that i love after what they did to charlie and the chocolate factory. i will not be seeing this.

I always forget about this, but when I’m reminded, it makes me want to crap my pants and cry tears of joy at the same time. I love Tim Burton and I’ve been fairly obsessed with Alice since I was about 5. I even dressed as her for Halloween this year. I’m so effin excited.

Have you people ever SEEN Edward Scissorhands? xD He had no eyebrows, no makeup, and black hair.
But I guess I can see how curly orange hair/eyebrows, yellow eyes, red face makeup, and hxc eyeliner can look exactly like that xD

Oh man, Alice is one of my favorite movies EVER! I think I’m going to have a hard time liking this. though I will try. I mean do I LOVE Depp and really like Tim. we’ll see. This is the first I’ve even heard of this!

Ah yea! I love it when Burton/Depp team up. They work so well together as actor and director. My favourite Hollywood combo to be sure! And I do love Burton’s take on things, and how he leans towards the darker and more fantastic aspect of tales, closer to the originals than the sanitized Disney bs. Disney ruined a lot of tales when they sanatized them for families.
This man can pull off ANYTHING. He really makes it his own and almost everytime makes it work! He is the Absolute Love of my Life! <3
