Checking In With Parker Foster Aiken
Pink reader Ash gave me the head’s up that Clay Aiken and his babymama Jaymes Foster made a quick appearance on Dr. Phil this week during an episode devoted to famed music-maker David Foster and his 40-year career in the biz. Despite the fact that I hate everything that Dr. Phil stands for (ie. his misguided charlatan psychobabble and meddling), I thought that it would be worth sharing to show the photo of Clay, Jaymes and their newborn baby boy Parker that was featured on the show:

You may recall that Clay Aiken became a father on August 8 of this year (08.08.08) when his friend and music collaborator, Jaymes Foster, gave birth to his child by artificial insemination in vitro fertilization. You may also recall that just over a month after the birth of his son, Clay came out of the closet and admitted his sexuality on the cover of People magazine. That was the last time we saw what Parker Foster looked like … until now. The little guy is getting so big … and is still SOOOO cute! Again, I’m not much of a Clay Aiken fan but I do commend him for coming out and being honest about who he is … and I do think his baby boy is ADORABLE. Glad to see that this little family is doing so well :)
[Source, thanks Ash]

Parker is so cute - and of course, a redhead. Yay! Glad to see they’re doing well…

What a good looking family . Parker is a lucky little boy ! Note to Ash : It wasn’t artificial insemination . It was in vitro . The wee babe is the biological child of both Clay and Jaymes who are raising him together .

Note to Matt, reply #1, you don’t have to call Clay names any more. He came out dude!

You know, I think the two of them (Clay and Jaymes Foster) have similar facial features, and baby parker definitely looks like them. It’s a cute baby, and he’ll probably grow up to be a reasonably good looking kid.
I do agree with you on Dr. Phil though - something about him irks me. It’s probably how he’s super condescending to all of his guests.

I admire them for finding a way to have a child that they both wanted. Clay is not your conventional guy. He walks to his own drummer and doesn’t let all the BS that surrounds him bring him down. He is one of the good guys and I am happy for him and Jaymes. Great looking family. Thanks for sharing this.

The kid has beady eyes like his mother.

Yeah, Clay is definitely one of the good guys. Those of you who mock him, what have you done to help this sorry world lately? Clay gives of his time and energy to raise millions of dollars for children around the world. If anyone is lacking it is those of you who make fun of decent people. I suggest you take a good look in your mirror. You ain’t all that!
