Britney Spears’s Son Hospitalized But ‘Fine’
Earlier today we heard a report that Britney Spears’s youngest son, Jayden James, was rushed to the hospital after reportedly suffering a seizure … and now it turns out that the report was only half true. While JJ was rushed to the hospital yesterday, it was not because he suffered a seizure, it was because he suffered an allergic reaction (according to People magazine) after eating “something really bad” (according to TMZ):
Britney Spears’s trip home with her sons this weekend took an unexpected serious turn when her 2-year-old Jayden was rushed to a Kentwood-area hospital at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. But the toddler is not in danger, according to a source close to the family. “He’s doing fine,” the source tells PEOPLE. “They kept him overnight.” Jayden was taken to the hospital after suffering “a terrible allergic reaction. He had hives, was itchy and irritable,” according to the source, who says that Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne, spent the night at the hospital with Jayden. As for what caused the reaction, “They’re just not sure,” said the source.
TMZ adds: Now we’ve gotten to the bottom of why Jayden James was rushed to the hospital yesterday. Sources tell TMZ he ingested something that didn’t agree with him. We are told, contrary to several reports, it was NOT a seizure. We’re told he’ll probably be discharged tomorrow. As for Ms. Britney Spears, she was “worried” but is now fine. P.S. Britney and others have been trying to get in touch with K-Fed to let him know what’s going on, but haven’t had any luck.
Whew! Well at least this is better news. Any hospitalization is scary but hearing how this supposed allergic reaction manifested sounds a lot less scary than the prospect of an errant seizure. Here’s hoping that Jayden recovers quickly and get released from the hospital so that he can get back to playin’ with his older brother Sean Preston and his little cousin Maddie Briann.
UPDATE: BritneySpears.com has just been updated with an official statement from the Spears family about Jayden’s hospitalization:
“Jayden James Federline was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 9th. Doctors concluded he had a reaction to something he ingested. He is expected to be discharged tomorrow.”

he could have easily got on a plan (even a private one- he does have brits $$$ people) and the excuse he didnt kno….BS his lawyer has the internet..thats where he sold BS stories of brit to make her seem crazyer than she was(yes i kno she has problems but i think he made it worse.) father of the yr…. yeh rite & who gaev it to him…a NIGHTCLUB!!! Brit ur doing gd with ur boys.

how are you guys gunna jump down on kevin like that? for all you know he knew what was really wrong long before us. he’s been a great father through the rough times leave him alone.
as for JJ glad he’s alright…those allergic reactions can be some of the scariest.

Sara I couldn’t say it better! And for all of you jumping down Kevin’s throat, where was Britney during Jayden first couple years of life and during Seans last two years of life? Where was she when they had to get their shots, pampers changed, teething, needing baths to eat, a parent to cuddle next to when they were scared, etc etc…Oh I know she was out PARTYING and on her crazy spell telling the world she didn’t need help and if it wasn’t was for her dad taking control when he did she still wouldn’t had custody of these boys. Kevin has been very generous with Britney because most men/women in his situation would had milked it for all it was worth and NEVER agreed to additional custody and eventually 50/50 custody. Don’t forget it was HER OWN SELFISH actions that got the kids taken away in the first place.

shut up rhonda…u want some of kevin..brits money..kevin is no better..partying..VEGAS…bills for large amounts of alcohol when the judge ordered no alcohol for the parents..ummm americans are harsh on the weaker candidate..stop being an idiot and so invovled in your hatred of britneys success and money and look at what you are saying. if she didnt care about her children why not give up on her fight for them??? why go through the hassle and the expense??? you see the pics of her with her kids, you can see the love in her eyes, in her whole body when she is with them!! she had problems but is fighting hard to overcome them.

im with sara & rhonda(ONLY to a point. IMO she took it too far). kevin stepped up when britney fell. im happy that she’s getting her life back together and i love to see her with her kids. but because of one situation, we shouldnt take anything from kevin and start bashing him.

Kevin has a number of children – it is only right that he helps look after them. He fathered those kids, knowing he did not have the income to support them. Mother’s rarely get thanks … Kevin deserves no awards for doing what he SHOULD be doing – being a parent to the kids he brought into the world.

Of course he stepped up when she fell …ITS HIS JOB AS THEIR FATHER!!! Don’t forget how he totally neglected Brit and the kids when they were married. He was in Vegas more than he was at home with his wife and kids.

err–you have problems…please go get help! Britney failed as a mother. Sorry but she did. Jealous of Brit–I think not. I think it is good she is getting her life together but she still need to focus on her boys because of her past actions kept her from there. Then she can focus on her career. Right now she isn’t stable enough to balance the both. And Joanne and Laura I agree Kevin did what a father was suppose to do, but remember that not all fathers would do this and not all fathers who are in the situation where they can milk even more money out of the paying mother be willing to give her back 50/50 custody when she is better and rooting for her and even visited her while she was in rehab. Kevin was forced to grow up and that he did so yes he deserves kudos for that. He did a lot for those kids and never keep them from their mother when he easily could had. Look at Heather Mills. And it doesn’t matter if he has other kids that’s his business. What matters is that he did what he was suppose to do. Now do I think Kevin went after Britney for her money–HELL YEAH he did and she was stupid enough to marry this douche bag who left his pregnant girlfriend for money bags because she wanted this “bad boy”. She got what was coming to her and he got what was coming to him–a couple years of not partying the way he would want to because he couldn’t be seen out in public or risk losing the kids to his crazy druggie ex wife. Now I hope they both learned their lesson. Now people on this board need to learn theirs and realize this “love” you have for Britney isn’t healthy because you are masking her mistakes by making excuses for her.

nikki-first thanks for kinda agreeing with me lol! Secondly I don’t sugar coat anything. when you as a mother fail your children you don’t get sympathy from me. What I wrote was factual. And the truth hurts sometimes. I just hope she continues on the path she is on because she deserves to have her kids in her life. I do believe she learned her lesson just like I believe Kevin learned his.
