Britney Spears Shows Her Backside
On Halloween day we got our first look at the new cover artwork for Britney Spears’s new album Circus and today we get to see what the album’s backside will look like. UK store Tesco has uploaded the backside of the album artwork on their online site, which I now am passing along to all y’all. Here is the back of the Circus album artwork for both the standard and deluxe versions of the album:
You can see that both albums will have the same tracklisting except that the deluxe version will have the UK bonus tracks Rock Me In and Phonography … as well as a bonus DVD of “the making of the Circus album including an exclusive interview with Britney”. Additionally, the backcover artwork features A SCARY ASS MINI-CLOWN offering our dear Britney a birthday cake (the album will be released on her birthday, December 2) as she reclines on a bed, presumably in a circus wagon. I mean … I’m not a big fan of clowns in general but this little guy is kinda extra freaky. BUT, of the Circus promo pics that we’ve seen thus far … this one is the most circus-y. I think I like this photo (scary clown, notwithstanding) … what do y’all think?

That is not her older son giving her the cake? I actually like the back cover. The back would have been better for the front. The clown is not John Wayne Gacy, people lol….but besides that, i’m sure the album will be crap just like everything else she puts out. If anyone calls her the Princess of Pop, they need a brain scan. She can’t sing well and her songs are unoriginal. She used to be semi fun (ie Toxic), now it’s just recycled garbage.

Just a little note – Tesco isn’t British Wal-Mart, it’s mainly a supermarket that has a couple of aisles for non-food items.

I definitely love this back cover! I mean the clown is a little freaky, but it has the whole old school circus feel to it– much better than the front cover!

The Mariah airbrushing has to stop and the clown has to go….. otherwise, I like it. It looks almost cartoonish.

This whole circus theme is creepy with extra freaky on top. The whole thing reminds me of the HBO show “Carnival”, which btw was canceled because it just plain scared the shiz outta people.

This is by far the best! This is creative and fun. Also I like the creepy factor of the clown… unless the clown is supposed to be her son in which case that is way toooo creepy. (Her son shouldn’t be her little servant. Ick.) But I’m assuming it isn’t. Pop-rock should have a little creepiness to it! Dig it. She should definitely lose all the other promo pictures associated with the album so far and go more in this direction.

It’s so blatantly airbrushed because that fits the theme of the album, it supposed to represent the circus them as well as a retro fake plastic hollywood persona. Trust me they are photoshopping these to give them a sort of a retro feel and I think they hit the nail on the head.
And how can some of you say it’s gonna be crap when you haven’t heard anything? Especially you Jaredina or whatever…please tell me someone other then Madonna that has dominated the world publicity wise and music wise in the past 20 years? Yeah I would say she is the reining princess of pop…and I’m not even a fan but Womanizer is awesome!

Amazon has 30 second clips of all the tracks. It’s crap. I was looking forward to the album. Now, not so much.
