Britney Spears, as was expected, briefly joined Madonna on stage in LA last night during Madge‘s Sticky & Sweet World Tour stop at Dodger Stadium. While Britney did not offer a full performance of any song, she did come out for a short cameo during Madonna‘s performance of her song Human Nature to offer up some backing vocals — and her, now, trademark phrase “It’s Britney, bitch!” Here are a few pics of Brit and Maddy on stage together:
Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake each took the stage in separate appearances at Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet tour at L.A.’s Dodger Stadium Thursday night. But, PEOPLE has learned, the two actually crossed paths during rehearsal. Timberlake was first, and then Spears came on stage to run through her part. “They said ‘hi’ to each other. Justin was very cool,” a source says. Adds another source, “This was a night for [Britney] to enjoy, and not stress over. This was a good moment for her to just enjoy and have fun.” And enjoy she did. Dressed in satin black pants and white suit shirt with ruffle, Spears has been appearing in a taped segment during Madonna’s “Human Nature” performance since the beginning of the tour. Her “It’s Britney, bitch!” segment she did live. Madonna greeted her with “Hi Britney!” And Spears, with her blonde hair flowing and red lips smiling, moved to the beat as she sang the last chorus on “Human Nature” with Madonna. “She’s not your bitch” Madonna proclaimed, pointing at Spears who replied with her classic line: “It’s Britney, bitch!” Madonna had to swing her around three times to get her to loosen up a little bit and, in a far cry from the 2003 smooch, kisses Spears on the hand as her platform sunk below the stage. “4 Minutes” came on and remixed into “Vogue” as Spears disappeared from view.
Woot! I was lucky enough to be in the hiz at Dodger Stadium last night and I gotta say … the place erupted when Britney came out onto the stage. As you can see, Britney‘s cameo was short but (sticky &) sweet … and more than enough to thrill the thousands of people who came out to Madonna‘s concert last night. I’ll have more pics from last night’s show in the TV Guide post later on today.

I haev ALWAYS loved Madonna but I honestly cant stand to see her wearing weird crap like that anymore… doesnt matter how good your body is when you are old(er) you cant pull it off well.. but she still sounds like Madonna and I LOVE her new stuff!
Britney… well, WAY back when I used to almost be ashamed that I liked her so much, with everyone around me protesting her etc.. LOL I LOVE me some Brit and I think her last album was the best one yet. I am always quietly sitting back wishing her well and cheering her on… go go Britney baby!

Everyone saw that Timberlake collabo before that’s why. It was such an amazing concert. Also Jennfier Lopez and Lucy Liu was there

I was there. Brittney was only onstage for like 2 minutes. It wasn’t even a performance, she was just kinda standing on stage. No dancing. Now! When Justin came on…….That was a performance. He danced and sang all of 4 minutes with Madonna. They should have focused on that.

Zoinks! I would have LOVED to have been there last night! When I saw Madonna last week in Vancouver – even tho we’ve all known about Brit’s video “appearance” for months now – it was my first time realizing that Brit’s appearance was actually part of ‘Human Nature’. So perfect! What a perfect song for Madge to bring her in on … we loved it!
btw – she got 60,000 fans singing along to Like A Virgin, it was pretty effin cool. What song was the sing-along in L.A.?
I just watched the clip from the news station and the reporter said that ‘Human Nature’ is from Britney’s 1994 album ‘Bedtime Stories’. LOL! At that time, Brit actually probably was still literally young enough to be getting real bedtime stories at night.

Britney has obviously lost a lot of confidence in performing live. Now that she is doing better, she probably looks back at that MTV performance in disbelief. She needs to do these little performances to get that confidence back. It would be a mistake for her to go from not performing live for years, to suddenly doing a major tour. Baby steps!
