Britney Spears Performs With Madonna In LA
Britney Spears, as was expected, briefly joined Madonna on stage in LA last night during Madge’s Sticky & Sweet World Tour stop at Dodger Stadium. While Britney did not offer a full performance of any song, she did come out for a short cameo during Madonna’s performance of her song Human Nature to offer up some backing vocals — and her, now, trademark phrase “It’s Britney, bitch!” Here are a few pics of Brit and Maddy on stage together:
Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake each took the stage in separate appearances at Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet tour at L.A.’s Dodger Stadium Thursday night. But, PEOPLE has learned, the two actually crossed paths during rehearsal. Timberlake was first, and then Spears came on stage to run through her part. “They said ‘hi’ to each other. Justin was very cool,” a source says. Adds another source, “This was a night for [Britney] to enjoy, and not stress over. This was a good moment for her to just enjoy and have fun.” And enjoy she did. Dressed in satin black pants and white suit shirt with ruffle, Spears has been appearing in a taped segment during Madonna’s “Human Nature” performance since the beginning of the tour. Her “It’s Britney, bitch!” segment she did live. Madonna greeted her with “Hi Britney!” And Spears, with her blonde hair flowing and red lips smiling, moved to the beat as she sang the last chorus on “Human Nature” with Madonna. “She’s not your bitch” Madonna proclaimed, pointing at Spears who replied with her classic line: “It’s Britney, bitch!” Madonna had to swing her around three times to get her to loosen up a little bit and, in a far cry from the 2003 smooch, kisses Spears on the hand as her platform sunk below the stage. “4 Minutes” came on and remixed into “Vogue” as Spears disappeared from view.
Woot! I was lucky enough to be in the hiz at Dodger Stadium last night and I gotta say … the place erupted when Britney came out onto the stage. Even tho her participation was short, the crowd was more than thrilled to cheer on her appearance last night. After the jump, check out a couple videos of Britney on stage with Madonna …

As you can see, Britney’s cameo was short but (sticky &) sweet … and more than enough to thrill the thousands of people who came out to Madonna’s concert last night. I’ll have more pics from last night’s show in the TV Guide post later on today.

I don’t know why i’m crying, but i’m crying….She looked amazing, kinda shy, but amazing, i loved it when madonna said “she’s not your bitch”, cause it’s true, she’s the POP PRINCESS, and people should respect her more, whether they like her music or not!!!

I think it’s awesome that Britney has it together now..but I could never see her as a pop Princess by any means. She did no publicity for Blackout (even after her ‘episodes’ ended) and didn’t seem to care. Madonna still, at 50, works her rear off. Britney should take notes. I have to say I think Brit’s songs are just bad. They are so bad they are great, if that makes any sense. To me, Britney is just a manufactured singer with songs written for her by others. Sad.

I don’t know what you guys’ are talking about..Maddy looks great and she’s in excellent shape. She does look more weird these days but not in these pics. Anorexic? No. Go to Amy W for that. Remember, she’s not that pudgy girl in the Lucky Star video, when she was 24,25! And it’s sad that people consider her to be ‘pudgy’ when she just had a normal body type. I think the stress of her life has taken it’s toll and aged her.

I totally started crying when I saw this. I can’t believe Britney is back in full swing, it is so amazing. I am so happy for her and all of the fans! This is an exciting time to be a Britney fan! Especially after being a Britney fan from the very beginning, it truly feels good to see her doing well.

Britney looks fantastic! And covered up! Yay! I like that she is doing sexy without the avertly naked thing she has done in the past. Madonna on the other hand… EEK! She needs to learn to accept her age. It’s ok! But NO ONE looks cute in a leotard and tights like that past the age of 8.

Seriously JarEdina Monsoon can you pull your head out of your ass and make your mind up? You’re happy that Britney looks great, but doesnt deserve her comeback or accolades? You say maddonna looks great, but weirdly skinny. You call her ‘pudgy’ in the Lucky Star video and then call it sad that people consider that pudgy? Just… stop talking. seriously.
And why is britney considered a star? Are you effing joking? she’s accomplished more in 10 short years than most people could even dream of. And the fact that she’s able to pick her self up and get on her way back to the amazing performer that she once was should be commended.
PEOPLE LOVE HER. They love her so much that they are willing to look past the mistakes of her past and support her comeback. She deserves that kind of support because when she was at her peak, she could entertain like not one else on this earth.

I haev ALWAYS loved Madonna but I honestly cant stand to see her wearing weird crap like that anymore… doesnt matter how good your body is when you are old(er) you cant pull it off well.. but she still sounds like Madonna and I LOVE her new stuff!

I was there. Brittney was only onstage for like 2 minutes. It wasn’t even a performance, she was just kinda standing on stage. No dancing. Now! When Justin came on…….That was a performance. He danced and sang all of 4 minutes with Madonna. They should have focused on that.

Zoinks! I would have LOVED to have been there last night! When I saw Madonna last week in Vancouver – even tho we’ve all known about Brit’s video “appearance” for months now – it was my first time realizing that Brit’s appearance was actually part of ‘Human Nature’. So perfect! What a perfect song for Madge to bring her in on … we loved it!
btw – she got 60,000 fans singing along to Like A Virgin, it was pretty effin cool. What song was the sing-along in L.A.?

I just watched the clip from the news station and the reporter said that ‘Human Nature’ is from Britney’s 1994 album ‘Bedtime Stories’. LOL! At that time, Brit actually probably was still literally young enough to be getting real bedtime stories at night.

Britney has obviously lost a lot of confidence in performing live. Now that she is doing better, she probably looks back at that MTV performance in disbelief. She needs to do these little performances to get that confidence back. It would be a mistake for her to go from not performing live for years, to suddenly doing a major tour. Baby steps!

It’s great to see Britney back on stage, though she didn’t really do much…i’m sure her tour will more than make up for that though! I’m soooo sick of Madonna’s swearing, it’s not cool and considering she has 3 children to think about she ought to curb her language, it just sounds crass and rude.
