As someone who danced my whole life and went to a performing arts school I delt with plenty of stage parents. Her mom deff is one , her dad im not so sure about. I think out of everyone he really does have her best intrests at heart not the money.. As far as what actually makes her happy we may never know

Sydney – the ‘jail’ she was talking about was – going through and trying to come out of depression. That is what it feels like. It feels like it will never end. The only difference between Britney and other sufferers is that she has alot of money – so she can materially survive. But the pain is the same. Rich or poor.

The problem is that her fans think “but she’s got an album and a tour and finally just had another #1 hit for the first time in a decade!” But that is not what makes her happy. But her fans don’t care about her happiness, they just want their idol. That’s why they don’t really care that she has zero creative input on anything she does and is barely there. They just like her to like her. Just my informed opinion…

Sydney, I can see where you’re coming from, but I firmly believe that when you’re miserable and truly unhappy, it doesn’t matter what problems other people have because they don’t make yours any less. I think what Trent said is true, that we don’t know what else the documentary will say, so we should wait to watch the whole thing before judging.

Her life is a jail sentence? What a load of bird-in-a-gilded-cage crap. There are people who can’t afford to eat. There are people who struggle with mental illness that have no jobs, no friends, no future, no resources and no idea how they will go on living. There are people who’s ‘groundhog day’ is shuffling from refugee camp to refugee camp with nothing more than the clothes on their backs because they heard there might be food there waiting for them there. She should show much, much more gratitude and humility and say that despite her personal struggles that she is thankful and grateful that she has the resources and people in her life to be able to continue with her life, work on her sobriety and continue to have a career. I empathize, but I do not pity her and her little pity party is an insult to the millions of less-fortunate people on this planet.

None of us have any clue what it is like to be B. Spears. that said, I feel like her parents, being the stage parents that they are, probably pushed her a lot as a child and shes now being pushed again. She probably felt “free” when she was finally away from them…and her rebellion was really public (and after kids). bad news.

Although dance is good for release, I do wonder why the hell she’s not taking some time to really work on herself, and her family for that matter, before beginning a crazy tour/cd release etc. that stuff seems all-consuming…when does she work on her personal life??

not one iota of her sons mentioned anywhere here. It’s as if they are just 2 more players in the drama that is her life. Her life needs to be like a prison right now, to get back to basics and show her sons (not her father, her ex or the courts) she can actually take care of them. There’s a difference between loving children and caring for them. Once she starts focusing on them, she’ll stop looking around at all she is supposedly missing and the true parenting can begin. I agree with Kathleen above: She needs to grow up and play the hand she dealt herself. Disclaimer: I’m not a hater. I want to see her step up and be a superstar once again, but she’s a parent first.

Apparently this was filmed over 3 months, and who knows when that filming began. Maybe it was from months ago, and at the point where Federline had just been granted sole custody and her father had gained total control over her legal affairs.

Just saying, things have rapidly changed in her life from that point, maybe this was from that point or shortly after, which would be very traumatizing! Even if she knew it was the best thing for her.

I reckon that there will be a lot more positive stuff in the actual show, but these clips are being released to drum up publicity for it. Poor Brit though, she’s so young to have so many regrets, my heart just goes out to her. Yes she’s priviledged and has all this money and fame, but underneath it all she’s just a person like anybody else and she’s having trouble with it. I just want to give her a big hug any time I see pics of her lately!

i have to say, it’s pretty funny to hear her talking about dance as therapy, when they’re playing clips of her dancin’ like a hoochie mama….just sayin’.

i’m rootin’ for her nonetheless. it has to be hard being in your twenties, with kids, and NO control over you life. but we reap what we sow, eh?

IDK, Maybe she Said “I Feel Trapped, Like in a Jail…Blah Blah” talking about how she felt last year when she was all out of control….maybe she felt she didn’t have control (Sam had it) and The sun (they reported it first) took the quote and used it to publish a B.S.(not brit spears) Story…

P.s. 4 Months ago there were rumors about Brit’s Mom saying horrible things about Brit in her Book. i found out it was all B.S. soooo…..

It’s been over ten years and Im still not fully out of depression. Though we put on a smile, and at times are happy, I don’t think the repercussions of what meltdowns and episodes ever leave us. People will actually believe they’re one hundred percent okay, but they aren’t. At times I am so stubborn and refuse my medication but deep down, I do know I need it to properly function because it’s just how the brain works for some people. It will take more than just a few months for her to get back on full track and be one hundred percent. Everyone’s different, and she’s bounced back (seemingly) very well. But like I said, it takes time.

Is she still kerrrazy? If she wasn’t ‘under the restraints’ she’s under right now she’d probably be in a ditch somewhere wearin’ her mangy pink wig, covered in cheetos and with an empty bottle of vodka next to her! From where I stand, she should be thanking her lucky stars her Dad finally managed to get in and wrest control from those parasites who were dragging her way, way down. I’m sure it has been difficult and I realize this interview is any number of months old, maybe she feels different now.. but she has a lot to look forward to. I think Britney fans all around the world are glad the REAL Britney is finally back.. and with a vengeance. I for one, had written her off. But I’m so glad she’s seemingly back on track. Onwards and upwards.

Reach out to your friends Joey, all the others (nae, tmak, jackie) who posted on here about this are right……..surround yourself with people who love you. The other thing is, allow yourself to feel the pain and work through it. I am a graduate student finishing my Master’s in Marriage and Family therapy. I tell all my friends don’t be afraid to feel sad (or whatever you feel)………give yourself permission to deal with this……..ugh, sorry to keep going, that’s the therapist in me……..lol……..;-) take care and hope you feel better………

Britney will never tell the true story. I think when her star started to fade and Jessica was on all the Tabloid covers it scared her also after the Madonna kiss and the attention it got she couldn’t get enough and had to be on the blogs everyday good or bad i bet she speed more time on X17 then she did with her boys now she just gives to much of herself on her on site Britney still has a sickness for attention.
