‘Britney Spears: For The Record’ Airs On MTV Tonight
Don’t forget that MTV will be airing Britney Spears: For The Record on their network tonight at 10PM with a 1-hour countdown special leading into the documentary’s airing and a 1-hour wrap-up special following:

At long last, we will finally be able to see and hear from Britney Spears in her own words, from her own perspective after months and months of watching her life from the outside. Tonight’s documentary is an absolute MUST-SEE for all Britney Spears fans and, I suspect, a great many critics and detractors will be tuning in as well. Folks in the UK will be able to watch the documentary when it airs on SKY1 tomorrow night but the doc world premieres on MTV here in the US tonight. It shant be long now, y’all. Make sure you leave your comments about the program after it airs right here on the blog. I’m anxious to see the documentary myself but I’m equally anxious to hear what y’all think of it yourselves.

TEAM BRIT BRIT BITCHES!
November 30th, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Can’t wait to watch it ! I dunno if it will air here in France but I hope I’ll be able to download it or watch it on YouTube !
Britney may be back but I think that this documentary will show us they have pushed her too fast or have not.
I’m thrilled to hear what she has to say ! And also understand why she looked that way on the three European promo “appearances”…. she looked like something was missing in her….
November 30th, 2008 at 1:24 pm
can’t wait so these inane posts can stop.
November 30th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
^^ these posts will never stop
November 30th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
does anyone know where i’ll be able to download it?
i’m dying to see it… sucks to be international..
November 30th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
David, i totally agree with you.
Brit’s camp should have waited a little before pushing her into this.
November 30th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
The stuck-up bitch couldn’t even be bothered to perform for her fans last night in London at G-A-Y and there were people who FLEW FROM OVERSEAS TO SEE HER! This diva-like bullshit needs to stop once and for all if she is to achieve the success she had before she totally lost control of herself.
November 30th, 2008 at 2:07 pm
Im sure there were reasons she couldnt peform pink lets not get het up now :)
November 30th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
Oi no need to get rude its people like you that made her “lose control of herself” sounds like your the stupid stuck up bitch to me
November 30th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
Boy, people are cranky on here this weekend. Maybe too much turkey and family time? haha
November 30th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
If people flew from overseas to see her perform EVEN THOUGH SHE WASN’T PROMISED TO EVEN SHOW, then that’s all on them..The flyer doesn’t say anything about her coming or performing so the fact that she even showed should say something..Oi..I can’t stand people sometimes..
The real reason I came to comment is..I’m so excited for tonight!!
November 30th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
I was starting to get bummed cause it didn’t look like it was going to be shown in Canada… but it’s on MuchMusic… which I find quite strange concidering its a MTV documentary. I expected it to be on MTV.
Anyways…. for all my fellow Canucks who were confused like me.. it’s on Much!
November 30th, 2008 at 3:12 pm
much plays alot of MTV stuff lately lol, even the mtv awards are that station!
November 30th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
No wonder she didn’t perform- with reading the blog in full, you’ll learn that the nightclub was overpacked with people and it was an already out of control situation. Britney on stage would have hardly made the situation any better! And as Kendra stated, this was not a scheduled performance or anything! So excited for Britney to tell us her side of the story!
November 30th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
I’m so excited for the documentary!! My friends and I have been waiting for weeks.
November 30th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
It’s on muchmusic in Canada!!!
November 30th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
I’m watching it right now and it makes me so sad – I love Brit! And I just can’t believe how sad she is, how controlled every bit of her life is… I hope things get better for her with her comeback!!
TEAM BRITNEY 4EVA!
November 30th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
omg. i love. britney!!!! i feel so sad for her and her crazy life…but she’s so cute and such a goof. just like the rest of us which is the cool thing. ok the commercials are over its back on!
November 30th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
Man, that paparazzi guy who was freaking out. I bet he’s going to be REALLY embarrassed. I wonder if the company he free-lances for will take anything from him again…I hope not cause he’s crazy!
November 30th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
i hope u put up some kind of summary and highlight key points in ur next post…cuz im neither in the U.S or U.K and cant watch it :( hopefully its on YouTube or some other place…do put up a link if u noe where we unfortunate overseas-ers can catch it…
November 30th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
Her relationship with her dad is exactly like the one I have with my mom. We snap at each other all the time, but it means nothing in the long run. LOL
It’s cute to see that it’s so normal. :D
November 30th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
i’m watching it right now. it’s AMAZING! SO POWERFUL WOW
November 30th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
i have to wait until tomorrow to watch, my dad wouldnt let me watch it lol
November 30th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
She’s so sad. :(
November 30th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
it just finished. i wanna see it again and again and again. but i thought it was gonna be 90 minutes and it was only an hour!!! anyway, i’m speechless about her life. it’s strange yet fascinating and alluring.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
The special was really good, but I kind of felt like she should be on suicide watch. I hope she finds the happiness that she seeks.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:08 pm
She is so sad. I can’t believe how depressed she appears to be.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
ahhh i just saw it.
it was so touching and i’m glad she made the video.
we really got to see a part of her
November 30th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
Wow……just wow. Im so glad I was able to see how she lives her life. But, to me, she still has alot of sad days in her life. You can tell how bad she hurted with both Justin’s and Kevin’s breakups. I just hope she can truly find happiness because its like her dance said: its the little things that we all do everyday that she longs for. Just being able to grab lunch outside with a friend, or going shopping at Target or something. But with all seriousness, its the little things that she cant experience that she misses the most. I the same age as her, and I see so much of myself in her. How she can be goofy and always giggly. All in all, it was such a well put documentary, and of course there will still be haters out there but at least the girl tried. You gotta give her that. And I love her for it.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:11 pm
I notice that they showed Madonna coming to visit Britney, but not Justin. I wonder if he did come to see her and they just didn’t film it.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
ABSOLUTELY amazing, I am so excited/happy for her. She really seems to understand that she messed up (minus her point that everyone shaves their heads? did anyone else catch that?). but I do think that she is on her way and another thing Circus looks like it is going to be an AMAZING video. team brit brit foreverrr
November 30th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
WOW…
I know this may sound cheesy, but when she started to cry, I also started to cry and I hardly ever cry.
I thought the documentary in general was amazing. It showed her in a really good light and her life is very crazy.
I like how she’s matured and she is still so funny!
They didn’t show her album shoot, though – I would have liked to have seen the album photoshoot.
Her dad is kind of annoying and creepy. “Nice Hooker shoes, hunny.” < — EW!
I wish her VMA performance of 2007 was more talked about, though.
I loved it.
did anyone notice how her perfumes were so promoted throughout the documentary? lol
November 30th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
its sooooo good!
I liked it very much… i am sooo glad she made this video.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
My showing on Muchmusic has been over an hour. They’re covering Halloween right now and Jamie just scared Jayden and Sean with his scary ass clown outfit.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Sarah – I caught that too! “everyone shaves their heads”
What I think she meant to say, was that other people shave their head and it isn’t so publicized as hers was; like it shouldn’t have been such a big deal I guess?
did anyone notice how she was kind of acting weird before and after the showing??? like, her interview with Damien.
and she never answered the question: “do you think your ready?”
November 30th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
AMAZING,
it was a fantastic video, i felt that she deserves a second chance and she can do it again!!
November 30th, 2008 at 8:17 pm
I didn’t have super high expectations for the doc (not because of Britney, but because of past MTV docs I have watched), but this was AMAZING! It showed her in a different light and I totally agree with Chase about when she started to cry, I found myself getting teary-eyed too! And I never realized that she is really funny!
So glad she’s back, TEAM BRITNEY!
November 30th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
I am so proud of her! Team Britney Forever!
November 30th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
I loved it! She was so vulnerable but strong at the same time. Lover her more than ever! :)
November 30th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
Best part was when she lowered the temperature in the store. How random.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
Like some pink readers said earlier in the week, she didnt look happy during the taping of the countdown to the documentary. She would watch her old performances and respond with a “cool”. She didnt seem like she wanted to be there. I think, though, that shes really realizing the horrible people she had in her life just earlier this year. I just hope she never lets those people back in her life. She looks like a very giving person that would open her home to the ones she loves and unfortunately, it was to the wrong people that even tried turning her against her own family. Like Chase, I felt so sad for her when she started crying. And no, not everyone shaves their heads. Btw, I thought she was the one that left Kevin. She said he was the one that left her. Hmm…..
November 30th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
I had my reservations about the documentary. But after actually watching it, I loved it. Britney is just a girl who grew up in the public’s eye. She’s dealing with it as best she can, but I really respect her for not complaining because she loves what she does. I am sad that we won’t get to hear ‘Trouble,’ but I’m very excited because I guessed 3 before Brit revealed the number to her friends. I can’t wait for Tuesday. Happy Birthday B!
November 30th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
I’ve been a fan since Baby One More Time and this just proves why.
I see so much of myself in her. I’ve had struggles, I’ve had setbacks, but you still live life. I’m glad Britney decided to show us this side of herself.
And as always, I wish Britney the best. In all aspects of her life.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
it was sooooo sad to watch, but she does seem like shes in a better place. i think everything that happened just hit her. i think going on tour would really help her. seeing the support from the fans would be good for her. overall it was very very good. love her.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
Adam-
Trouble is a bonus track if you pre-order Circus on Itunes.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
it was very sad : ( i felt so sad for britney!! she hates her life! and that reallly makes me sad,
i reallly enjoyed getting a glipse into her life
November 30th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
I loved it! It’s showing again here… but the first one was commercial free and the second one isn’t. I was wondering when I saw the times why the first was shorter than the other. And that’s why there was so much with her perfumes… those were the only ads they had. Anyway, I LOVE Britney. Always have, always will. Everyone goes through hard times as they grow up, and not everyone has to do with with cameras everywhere. Most people get to go cry over a breakup when they feel like it and go out and get wasted at a club if they feel like it, but when everyone is watching it’s just not possible. I like that she’s finally kind of accepted the fact that’s it’s not going away and she might as well use it to her advantage. TEAM BRITNEY all the way, we’ve missed the real you, girl. :)
November 30th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
Adam – I guessed 3, too! WEirddd. I actually think she came off very thoughtful, introspective and articulate (which is rare with her). I don’t think she came off as selfish at all, as another poster said. I think she’s still growing and sometimes she sounds like a child, but it makes sense cause i feel like she never truly got a chance to grow up like a normal person.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Her choreographer seems like such a good influence in her life. He seems to really love her.
He knows her really well. When she started to get frustrated with the fireworks not working at the video shoot, he distracted her with his IPhone game.
Loved getting to see so much of the Circus video!!
All in all, I loved getting to see this introspective into her life.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Wow. That was really sad now that I have seen the full thing…I also got teary-eyed when she cried:( i feel so sad for her. her boys are so cute. its just sad how she got caught up in the whirlwind of hollywood, and taken advantage of…we still love you brit!
November 30th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
Loved it! It packed in a lot in that hour and some minutes. She’s back to her old self….minus some lingering sadness, but really who is totally satisfied with their life? I don’t know a single person who doesn’t have sad days. I think she is surrounded by the right people now and as things progress they’ll hopefully be able to loosen the coat strings on her a bit and let her have some freedom back.
and about the G-A-Y performance….whoever is complaining about that…blame yourself and blame the club owners…NO performer would go on to an already unruly audience where people were already getting hurt. They shouldn’t have packed the club over capacity and if you flew across the country or wherever….you’re stupid…first off it’s a “surprise” club apperance…she was gonna do maybe 2 songs…probably not…probably just Womanizer….so get over it and quit being douches(Perez i’m talking to you!)
November 30th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
She is adorable!
November 30th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
ok so…yes it was AMAZING! I love her choreographer and assistant-they seem like really positive people to have around her…the RIGHT people to have around. she seemed awesome in the documentary BUT in the pre-show and after-show interview…what was with the one-word comments/answers?? was she nervous or what? like after they showed the documentary…”Britney how do you feel now that it’s out there?” Brit-”Good”…???? that’s all she has to say?
November 30th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
It was kinda sad for real…pretty sad actually. The interview parts anyways, any other scenes she seemed happy. She sure knows how to put on a show…
All in all, it was a great way to show what her life’s like. I loved getting to see so much of the ‘Circus’ video as well, and the background music for “Circus,” “Unusual You” and “Quicksand” were nice additions :)
November 30th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
I was disappointed in this supposed documentary. It didn’t really reveal anything that we didn’t already know.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
Oh! And the whole G-A-Y thingy? Well, she wasn’t really scheduled to perform, so those that complain & bitch about it, get your shit straight.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
yes, I am posting again…
I wish they talked about her sisters pregnancy and her relationship with her mother.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
I don’t see her as being sad, just normal. I’ve personally had a really rough week and couldn’t help but cry as she was saying “I’m scared, I’m scared, I’m scared” just trying to shop. We all have crappy parts of our lives, hers is just out there for the world to see.
Also, the best part of her imitating her dad was him doing the exact same thing right after!
November 30th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
wow. just.. wow. it was so well made and so informative and provocative. but i just left me a little unsettled. sometimes i feel like shes in a better place and we should be happy for her… and then others i feel so sad for her. not for what shes been through ( i feel like that’s in the past ), but for her life now. Like she wants to be happy, but she’s really just trapped.
November 30th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Wow wow wow.
A couple of random reactions: -Britney seemed so unusually self-aware (and articulate). -She is such a performer. -She is still so sad, and I feel very sad for her. Even though she sought out fame, her life has so many challenges. But she seems like she is working hard to make her life better and I feel proud of her. -We’re all so compelled to watch her even though it hurts her on some level.
November 30th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
I am very glad that I have seen this film. I’m even more glad that Britney agreed to do this film! She answered all of my questions about the past 2 years and it was so interesting to see HER perspective on the paparazzi that follow her. It’s sad, but you can tell how strong she is, because she doesn’t let it get to her. Another thing I enjoyed was seeing MADONNA participate in the film! They showed backstage at the show and Madonna even did an interview! That was one of my favorite moments in the film. I am also glad to hear her discuss why she shaved her head. That was one of the things that bothered me the most about the past two years. Anyway, I will say that this film only convinced me even more that Britney Spears is BACK! If you haven’t seen the film yet, you MUST watch it… it’s amazing.
November 30th, 2008 at 9:03 pm
AHHHHHHH i just watched Britney for the Record and i effin loved it!!!!!! However she did seem very sad though….like throughout the entire show….did anyone else notice that??
November 30th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
What shocked me is how she is seriously going to be trapped in the spotlight forever.
She can never have a normal life. She tries so hard to be normal, but in the end she never can be.
It must be so lonely for her. If she wants freedom she basically has to trap herself in a room.
At least she seems to be getting on track again and will hopefully stay on the right path this time. She deserves to have happiness in her life. She has been through so much.
You can tell she is a really awesome person, but you can also tell there is something holding her back. I really hope she finds all of herself soon. I miss the old britney.
At least she admitted that everything started to go downhill when she broke up with justin. Getting over everything starts with finding out where everything started to go wrong. I believe she is truly going to make it work this time.
I think a lot of people around the world are watching her, and just wishing this time she will get back on her feet and keep her head down and go.
Anyways, it was an awesome documentary.
You go girl!
Team Britney!!
November 30th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
loved the doc!!! it was soo good and while there were sad parts i hope people remember all the light hearted moments too. there were some very little things that were quite funny in a subtle kind of way. like when her dad asked if she could dance in those shoes and she replied, ” I’m about to find out.” It was just a quick little line but I thought it showed her ability to be quick and witty. Also near the end when she’s filming the Cicus video and waiting for the fireworks and she’s playing the game on the phone and she kinda stops and just goes, “Larry….fireworks?” There was something about the way she said it that was really funny to me. and the shopping scene was cute. i really wish her the best! and that ‘Trouble’ song sounds SICK!!!!! I love it. Can’t wait for the Circus video.
PS. Her kids are adorable!!!!
November 30th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
I AM POSTING YET AGAIN…
did anyone notice how much choreography they cut out for Womanizer!? there was so much dancing, but it didn’t make the final cut. : (
November 30th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
Britney Spears.
Absolutely fantastic. She’s such an intriguing person and it’s so good to be able to take a look into her life and see how she tries to make it normal for herself (when she was dancing around in the change room, trying on clothes – how many people have done that exact same thing =D ) but yet she’s still so sad. You can tell she’s still so guarded and maybe thats a good thing – she’s looking back at what she’s been through and is using it to her full advantage in becoming a stronger person.
Good for you Britney … welcome back.
PS – about that photog who was yelling? I think he was yelling at the other people for not letting her into the building??Thats the way it seemed to me anyway – I didn’t think he was yelling at Brit’s camp … just how pushy and ridiculous the paps were all being
November 30th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
I agree with Danity– it left a lot unsaid… and so we must wait for the “mysterious book” she is going to write. But I felt like the whole tone of the documentary was uneasy. She does seem somewhat self-aware but also seems to be in a lot of denial about how serious her psychological problems are and how deep her depression is. How could she not address the fact that she hand delivered a letter to her mother telling her to stay away from her children? I do think it was odd that her mother was not mentioned once by her– I think her dad mentioned her once. I don’t know. I just can’t shake the idea that this is all too much for her. I think it’s great she enjoys performing but all the interviewing and press junketing she has been doing seems really premature. The Madonna part really bugged me and seemed forced. I find it not at all surprising that Madonna “feels maternal” toward Britney when it’s good PR for her… where was she when Britney was out showing her coochie with Paris Hilton? I don’t remember Madonna ever speaking up in Britney’s defense when she was in the thick of all the drama. But put the cameras on Madonna and now they’re best friends again. Britney, I hope you become more open to therapy– dancing is definitely good for you but really examining your psyche through talking is so invaluable in figuring out who you really are.
November 30th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
ps – major goosebumps when she was dancing :) good to see she’s still got it in her
November 30th, 2008 at 9:15 pm
Her dancer–he’s been with her since the veery beginning…I got teary eyed when he kept talking about her, how he wants her to be happy, have that spark and fire again…he truly cares for her and it was so sweet how he was there to “distract” her when she was getting frazzled @ the video shoot. What a good friend. I feel she really misses Justin; when she talked about him, it was weird, b/c really she had never spoken about him before (the only time I recall was the Diane Sawyer interview).
I hope she finds a happy place, she still seems like she has a long road ahead of her…but I hope she gets there…she’s doing great so far! Can’t wait for the album!! I think what hurts her the most is she reaping the consequences of her poor decisions of the past year–like it just hit her how bad she got off track ya know?
I gave kudos to Madonna–She brought up alot of good points. Came across very maternal and nurturing…
November 30th, 2008 at 9:16 pm
I found it depressing. She is so sad and just…BLANK. Like she said there is no excitement or passion and it’s better not to feel anything. That is just so depressing. Britney needs a longgggg break away from the public eye. Immediately or history will repeat itself and might even be worse.
November 30th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
Oh–me again lol…
Yah kinda strange she didn’t mention her mother.
Two words: Cheese Grits hehehe…
November 30th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Tracy–yah I agree…just seems so…I don’t know…just a sad girl.
Did you catch when she talked about how she would want to be on an island, with her two kids, and a man..? She seemed so lonely.
November 30th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
her kids are adorable!!!
i love this documentary… very well done.
definately showed a sign of her .. that we normally don’t see.
some things have to be kept private….like relationship with her mother!
the circus video is goin to be great!
and that trouble song sounds sick… i need to pre-order it on I-Tunes.
November 30th, 2008 at 9:28 pm
Juan–true, ’bout the keeping info private…i didnt think of it in that aspect–good point! :)
yah circus is gonna be a fabulous video!
November 30th, 2008 at 9:36 pm
so excited to see it! airing in 30 mins here in LA
November 30th, 2008 at 9:37 pm
:(
November 30th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
This documentary made me both happy and sad for Britney. Happy because she seems that for once everything that should be the most important things to her (kids and career) are the most important aspects of her life. It made me sad because she is so lonely and her fathers conservatorship over her is really preventing her from having a life. It’s so sad to see someone so in control with their life without having any control. Overall, the documentary was very well done and it just made me an even bigger fan of Britneys.
November 30th, 2008 at 10:28 pm
loved te documentary…. it was interesting, funny and sad all at the same time…. but I couldn’t help but notice that she did not give any mention of her family (mom, dad & sister) for the love and support they have given her during the difficult period she had, and the support her parents contintue to give.
I can only guess that maybe that type of personal stuff is off limits for the public.
November 30th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
BRITNEY’S BACK!
not that she ever left!
thank you B for doing FTR, it was incredbile!
November 30th, 2008 at 11:19 pm
lemme just say, gud show brit. i am so glad she did this. shes right, we don’t really understand. all the crap she has to deal with! the paparazzi r fucking insane! i know its there job, but they need an end of day, so she can have a couple hours of bliss. when she said how she was only in l.a. becuz thats where the boys r, it almost made me cry, she is risking her sanity to b near those boys, and i commend her for that. she does seem sad tho. like she said she has gud and bad days, but she’s human….
November 30th, 2008 at 11:26 pm
…and shes taking responsibility and taking control of her life. yes she needed help, but she will push thru, and she will come out on top!
on the positive side, she IS fucking hilarious. anyone who saw CHAOTIC wud know that. and her boys r adorable! very gud! and i cant wait for the new video! she will have everything she wants, she deserves it all. love u brit!
November 30th, 2008 at 11:42 pm
I think whats best about this documentary was that it showed how humble and caring she is…she isnt some diva bitch like people make out…she may seem cold when the paparazzi take pics of her but all celebrities are like that. I know she will pull through I just wished she could find someone that can love her as much as she wants to love someone..then I wouldnt worry about her so much lol.
The only thing I was upset about is that she didnt mention directly that sleeze sam lusfti and what he did to mess her up…
Britney Love U Long Time xx
December 1st, 2008 at 12:12 am
Definitely a powerful glimpse into Britney’s life. There were so many parts that made me want to cry. I don’t usually feel this way towards celebrities but something about her seems so real and vulnerable to me. My heart just goes out to her and I so badly just want her to be well and happy. I hope she someday finds someone who will appreciate her and be a good partner for her. I think the doc showed that it’s not too soon for her to be back working because it clearly gives her a sense of order and purpose. I know my work keeps me sane when I am going through rough times. I think she loves her work and is grateful for what it brings to her life but I also think she’s just someone who has a lot of love to give and only feels complete when she has an outlet for that. I think that’s what she was referring to when she said there is no passion in her life. She doesn’t even get to have her kids full-time so she can’t really devote herself full-time to them anyway. I really think she is doing the best she can and I wish her well. I think you can’t really help but root for her since she really does seem like a normal sweet girl who just hit the big time and didn’t always deal with it in the best way. I hope as time goes on, she will get her freedom back. No one deserves to feel like a prisoner. She didn’t break any laws and she mostly just hurt herself during her dark period so although I want her family to take care of her and have her back, I also think she deserves a real second chance too. On a more superficial note, girlfriend looked fierce in that pre-show interview – that outfit was hot! I’m definitely excited for the album and the new Circus video. Team Britney FTW!

Loved it, but I’m concerned because there were some contradictions such as “I love what I do” vs. “there’s no passion”.
I have a sinking feeling that despite the return of her mgmt and her father’s conservatorship Britney is being made to return to the spotlight too soon. I mean, she’s doing MUCH better now than she was this time last year, but it’s also clear that she is not yet ready. She is not whole, but she needs to be whole – for her kids and for herself.
That said, I wish her luck to get thru it all and I totally hope to see a genuine smile on her face soon :-)

The doc was so sad and impressive. I know it may sound stupid but I also started crying when she cried. It was so emotional !
That’s the documentary all those haters should watch because they would see she’s no dumb blond at all, just a human being seeking for some love and respect from the others.
Though her life seemed to be a mess, she managed to put it all together which is kinda fantastic when you see that she’s still a little bit depressive.
About what happened at club G-A-Y, I do think that the ones who are to blame are the clubgoers cause they were like mad and she was not even set to sing or anything…. just to make a quick appearance.

The doc was amazing. I was so impressed.
I thought it was going to be cheesy or not very informative but I was proven very wrong.
When Britney said “I’m sad” my heart broke for her. Someone get this girl to a private island with her kids and a man like she wants.
Poor thing.
But she looks amazing and is sounding like the old Britney again. Let’s just hope this is what she really wants and this won’t turn out to be another down fall.
We’re all cheering for you Brit!

It was just so strikingly sad. She is an amazing person who looks to be so strong, but it was evident in almost every aspect of the doc that she is just a sad sad girl, who is desperately craving a different kind of life. The scene where she was at dinner after the show, did anyone else notice how she was just sitting back watching the conversations happen? I think it just goes to show how reserved she now knows she has to be even when just starting a conversation, because honestly, who knows what someone might do to her? She probably has to think about every conversation she starts because the next day it could be all up on some tabloid cover. I almost feel guilty because it is people like you and me, her fans, that she loves and that make her who she is, but she’s become so huge that it might be good if we all just stopped watching this girl’s every move for a while. Talk about a Catch 22. In any case, she looks amazing and healthy, I hope she’s really ready, I never want to see her back where she was. Brit, we’re all out here pulling for you, and we’ll never give up on you, don’t look back, sweetie!

It’s amazing to me that so many people think she is just a “normal girl”. There is nothing normal about being a celebrity. When a “normal” person messes up, we don’t get to make a video to gloss over our screw ups. We don’t get scripts and re-writes and edits and lighting. We don’t have a manager helping us, or millions of dollars behind us.
There is a whole team of people whose paychecks depend on Britney coming out of this smelling like roses.
Maybe those tears were real, maybe they weren’t. Any performer can cry on command. Maybe this documentary is real, maybe it’s not. We will never know the REAL Britney. The girl you see, good or bad, is who her PR people want you to see. Who do you think decided a Tell-All Documentary was a good idea in the first place? Who made the decisions to leave out details about her family? Who decided to focus on her relationship with the paparazzi? Odds are, these weren’t even her decisions. And making her dad’s conservatorship seem like it’s damaging her only serves to make her manager look even better to the general public. It’s all about CYA. Historically, managers benefit by separating celebrities from their families – more control over the star means more money for them.
I’m not here to hate on Britney. Just sayin that people need to think about the motivation behind what celebrities do before giving meaning to them. Deciding somebody is fantastic, in control of her life, sweet, funny, vulnerable, or whatever based upon a documentary – made BY the celebrity and her PR team – might be building her up too high, too fast.

I thought it was amazing. I have never stopped loving Brit, even during her darkest and weirdest days. I think this documentary provided a new perspective on her life that will help some of the more anti-Britters crowd understand that she isn’t crazy – she is just doing her best to deal with an extremely crazy life. Despite how sad she seems, you could tell at times (like when she was dancing) that she does have a lot of that fire back whether she says she feels passionate/excited or not. She looks great and seems to be back on the right track.
I also thought the Madonna interview was right on point. While most people can make mistakes and learn from them without much scrutiny, every step Bit Bit takes is examined and reexamined in the tabloids/media. It isn’t fair to judge her by the same standards, because most people do a lot of dumb things that no one ever has to know about. I mean, imagine that every mistake you ever made was caught on tape and seen by millions of people. Yikes! The humiliation and embarassment would be overwhelming. She does an incredible job staying strong despite some very public and very motifying breakdowns. We love you Britters!

I didn’t even know it was on last night until I was flipping through the channels. I watched it until the end, because I wanted to hear it from her, not from the magazines. I felt so bad for her, especially when she was talking about how nobody she talks to really understands her, and she got teary eyed. I just wanted to hug her.
I remember everyone talking about how she got out of the car at that one place and got right back in because of the crowd. Well, once we saw it from the documentary camera man’s perspective, it was easy to see how scary that could have been.
You get a lot more out of watching actual film and hearing HER perspective than seeing pictures and seeing only glances from TMZ or something like that.
I’m glad she’s making a come back. I’ll be at the store to buy her new album tomorrow!
