Britney Spears Brings Jayden Home From The Hospital
Crisis averted

Yesterday morning we woke to the news that Britney Spears‘s youngest son, Jayden James, was rushed to the hospital over the weekend (it was initially reported that the little guy suffered a seizure but it was clarified later in the day that JJ had only suffered an allergic reaction to something that he ate). Today we get to see new photos of Brit Brit taking her little boy home from the hospital last night after he spent the previous night in their care for observation:

Britney Spears’ two-year-old son Jayden is out of hospital and back with his family, according to a post on the singer’s Web site. “A source close to the Spears family has told us that Britney and family have left the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center,” says the update. “Jayden is fine.” Spears was photographed outside the facility Monday evening, cradling her youngest son as they entered a waiting SUV. A source tells PEOPLE the boy was hospitalized overnight after suffering a “terrible allergic reaction” to something he ingested. The health scare came in the midst of a family vacation in Louisiana. It is Spears’ first trip out of California with the boys since she lost custody early this year.

I cannot for the life of me begin to understand what a parent must go thru when one of their children is hurt and needs to be rushed to the hospital. It has to be one of the hardest things a parent has to go thru … no matter the severity of the injury, I imagine it must be terrifying. I’m extremely happy to know that Jayden was able to recovery quickly and that he is doing OK after his scary incident. Here’s hoping that Britney and her family can enjoy a relaxing time together in Kentwood, LA for the duration of her visit.

He is sooo cute…gald he is doing better now.

  3. Nicola says:

Well apparently Britney’s ‘career’ means more to her than her Sons, so I doubt she’s as cut up as you think.

  4. alisa says:

How do you not know what foods your child is allergic too?

  5. MM says:

alisa for all you know there could have been some cross contamination, or a slight trace of something that they didnt know about. he’s still young, he could have tried something he’s never had before? many ways this could have happen, i doubt she wouldnt have a clue to what he was allergic too, it was an accident.

  6. Tom says:

    F you Nicola.

She took her son to the hospital by herself, stayed with him all the time to comfort him, is doing everything she can to get better and yet you still think she’s a bad mother?

    Whatever….

  7. Ticha says:

As A Mother I have to say yeah my son is the most important thing in my life but i also can’t leave my career behind .
I want another life too , not just a mother. I’m sure she is trying to balance her life.

  8. rhonda says:

Ticha I see what you are saying and I would balance the both as well….but after being away from her boys for a couple years now because of her “craziness” and drugs she was on(she might had been there physically but not there mentally) she owes it to her boys to take a year and reconnect with them, but the first thing she did before she was granted more visitation with her boys was to restart on her career so no I do not think her priorities are straight right now.

  9. Amanda says:

Oh please. Some of you sound as though you know all about balancing motherhood and being insanely famous. Imagine all the scrutiny Brit has had to face, and is still facing. Yes, she messed up, and there’s no denying how badly she messed up too. But don’t go shoving your holier-than-thou ‘I do not think her priorities are straight right now’ ideals on her or anyone else. Why can’t she juggle? She seems to be doing a damn better job now than she did a year ago, so give the girl a break already. Sheesh.

Jayen James is only 2 years old, most kids don’t eat allergy causing foods, like peanuts or shellfish ect.until this age. Doctors say not to give kids under the age of 2 these types of food, unless your family has a history of food allergies. So parents don’t know that a child may have a problem, until a reaction does happen. I’m glad Brits little guy is doing ok.
Nothing is as scary as you child beening hurt or sick.

sorry Amanda to tell you but everyone has their own opinions and that is what they are….for you to get mad at someone else’s opinion says alot about you. But I’ll say it again, I don’t think she has her priorities straight right now. Being famous has nothing to do with motherhood. There are tons of famous mothers who put their kids first and still balance their careers. It would had been nice to see her focus mainly on her boys and then her career. Like for example for thanksgiving she’ll be out of the country. Yeah you can celebrate a holiday early with your kids but after what they went thru, you shouldn’t want to. Brit is already established and whenever she made her come back her fans would had still been there. She could had started this comeback next year and took the remainder of this year to focus of her boys and getting her comeback together instead of the latter….JMO and if you don’t like it so be it!

Rhonda, please read your comments again. Are you one of Britney’s relatives? Do you know her personally? All I’m saying is reading whatever you find online as well as in the tabloids does not mean you know a celebrity well. And she IS juggling. What makes you think she’s compromising her boys’ well-being for her career? It just makes me sad when people fawn all over good mothers like Angelina Jolie (love her, by the way) and Jennifer Garner just because they haven’t had any major meltdowns and mess-ups in the past few years. Britney may not have done as spectacular a job as they have, but she IS cleaning up her act so all I’m saying is give the woman a chance. Don’t shoot her down just as she’s steadily making her way up again.

Meh, I no longer care about your opinions Rhonda but it’s your grammar that bothers me now.

Amanda – I’m hearing you!! I’m reading comments from a lot of people who are obviously *not* parents. Being a full-time, stay at home mom is great for some people, but it’s not for everyone, and the jury’s out as to whether it’s best for kids to have the socialisation of a daycare instead, and a happy, fulfilled parent at the end of the day.

And, you know, if she were a dad, would people be all down on her for going to work?? Nope. We’d be all, “awww, he’s spending off hours looking after his kids. Aww, what a great dad, spending all night in hospital at his son’s side.” Then we’d bitch about the mother not being around. Great double standard.
