Beyoncé Does ‘Gotham’ Magazine

Beyoncé is featured in the new issue of Gotham magazine and posed for a photospread that … well … words cannot describe so check it out for yourselves:
The magazine’s coverstory meanders a bit, rehashing her bio and not really enlightens with any new information (tho, y’all can read it online HERE) but I’m more interested in this photoshoot. While many of the pics are ripe for the skewering (especially the top left one), the pics are intriguing. Beyoncé doesn’t even look like Beyoncé in many of them (can’t say that she really looks like Sasha Fierce either). Some of these photos are very strong and I quite like them. What do y’all think … fierce or foolish?

i can safely say that i don’t like any of them. she just looks like she was playing dress up and most of them look plain silly

my god, she tries way too hard.
Why does it look so forced? For most celebs, they make different looks or dressing up look effortless and natural.
It’s a shame. She’s talented and beautiful and i dont want to be a Beyonce hater but this is just cram crap down your throat terrible.

I love them. They are creative and fresh. And I LOVE Beyonce. I tried to hate her but she just keeps coming strong.

She almost looks like she’s channeling Tyra Banks in some of these..I won’t really comment because Beyonce bugs the crap out of me..I’m a bit biased..

Haha, I saw them and I also thought ‘Yeesh, Tyra!” I agree that she’s just trying too hard. It seems that she’s trying to think outside of the box and outside of herself.

Trying waaaay too hard. The pics are too Tyra-esque, or should I say Tyra lite. Who is Sasha anyways? Judging by these pics she doesn’t seem to have much of a persona of her own. The pics are random but don’t say anything about Sasha other than she doesn’t ‘look’ like Beyonce. Guess that’s what happens when you take what should’ve been a private stage trick and try and pimp it as a separate persona to sell an album. The whole thing feels too much like it’s an attempt to gauge public response to which ’sound’ and look the public prefer from B so that she’s got a roadmap for the future. This girl plays it so safe it’s embarrasing.

I love that they look nothing like her. Love that because I was getting tired of Miss Beyonce’s same look. I like that she’s taking the risk with her image. It’s definately an extreeeeme with these pics either you love it or you hate it there’s no in between. I understand why people wouldn’t like them though.
