Barack Obama Has A Political ‘Penn’ Pal
Partisanship on the set of 'Gossip Girl'

Gossip Girl hottie Penn Badgley was lookin’ pretty damn sharp on the Brooklyn, NY set of GG earlier today when he showed up at Green-Wood Cemetery where new scenes of the series were being filmed. You will note that Penn was proudly displaying a Yes We Can campaign button in support of Senator Barack Obama‘s bid for the US presidency:

Folks, we are just one day way from deciding who our next President will be and by all accounts it will be a historical election for our country. Most people have decided who they will be voting for in tomorrow’s election, including myself and Penn Badgley here, but it is imperative that y’all get out and vote tomorrow. Our country works best when the people take an active role in determining who will lead our country … I cannot even stress how important every single vote is to the greater electoral process. I urge you to PAY NO ATTENTION TO POLLS, whether they seem favorable or not … GET OUT AND VOTE tomorrow as is your right as an American citizen. So many people feel that their vote doesn’t matter and I’m telling you that it does. Click HERE to find out where your polling place is if you haven’t already done so. This is one election you CANNOT afford to miss out on. Just vote, y’all!!!

i thought penn said in an interview earlier this year/late last year he was apathetic towards politics and didnt care about voting??

but whatever. as a young australian who is very concerned about the state of world affairs, i absolutely beg you lucky americans who are able to vote to VOTE OBAMA. your vote doesnt just affect the USA, it affects the world. a mccain/palin america is a very, very frightening prospect.

  11. Gah says:

Laynie way to think outside the box! I used to come to this site all the time before the Obama barf started creeping into my need to get the celebrity goss. Ever heard of a gay republican? There are more than anyone likes to admit.
