Word out of the UK today is that Kanye West was arrested on assault charges in Newcastle early this morning after ALLEGEDLY whippin’ a paparazzo’s ass. You may recall that Kanye got into a similar altercation with the paps at LAX airport in SoCal back in September … but no charges came from that incident. Well, guess what … no charges came from this latest incident either:

Oh dear, Kanye West’s been a naughty boy. Allegedly. The rapper was arrested in Newcastle early this morning for assaulting a photographer outside a nightclub. Kanye had been partying at Tup Tup in the city, but left the club just after 1am. Photographer Terry Blackburn claims to have suffered cuts and bruises after Kanye pushed his camera into his face and shouted at him. He was then arrested at the Hilton Hotel but released without charge.

And so … Kanye West is, once again, free to ALLEGEDLY beat the ass of any photog that strikes his fancy. Meh. I guess it comes with the territory. Who knows how long Kanye will be able to get away with assaulting paps around the world but my guess is that he’s going to keep enjoying the practice for as long as he can.

Justin Gaston walked the red carpet with a Cyrus at the 42nd Annual CMA Awards this week but it wasn’t the Cyrus you might’ve guessed. Justin accompanied papa Billy Ray Cyrus down the red carpet, letting 15-year old Miley Cyrus walk the red carpet alone … which was very apropos since Justin was telling anyone who asked that he IS NOT Miley‘s boyfriend and is merely a “Cyrus family friend”. Uh huh. Here’s a lovely pic of Justin and Billy Ray (looking particularly tragic in this ridic outfit … especially in comparison to Justin in all his beauty) mugging for the cameras on the CMA Awards red carpet this week:

Miley Cyrus has been spotted everywhere recently with model and aspiring singer Justin Gaston, but the 20-year-old former “Nashville Star” contestant denies having a relationship with the 15-year-old Disney star. “Oh, just family friend, you know,” Gaston said at the CMA Awards on Wednesday night. “I met Billy Ray on the show and just became friends with the whole family. And they’re such a great family,” Gaston continued. “I moved (to LA) two years ago and started a modeling career and that’s kind of just to break into the music business and everything.” Justin may have an affinity for older women. The model/singer commented on fellow CMA attendee Nicole Kidman, telling Access, “She’s beautiful, especially in person. Maybe I’ll meet her,” he added.

And mebbe he’ll move in with her and start hanging out almost exclusively with her daughter Sunday Rose? Nah … JG might like ‘em young but I think that might be taking things a bit too far … besides, I think he’s having too much fun hanging out with little Miss Miley. Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer were uncharacteristically snapped out and about together in NYC last night just about a day after Aniston‘s Vogue magazine coverstory hit the Internets. You may recall that Jen talked very openly about her new love affair with John in the mag as well as her lingering feelings towards ex-hubby Brad Pitt and his new wife-like partner Angelina Jolie. It would appear that confession is good for the soul because this Mayerston public appearance seems a little out of the ordinary. Days after Jennifer Aniston declared she’s “lucky in love,” she joined her beau, John Mayer, for a romantic dinner date in NYC. The pair met up at Manhattan hotspot La Esquina late Thursday night. Aniston, 39 – dressed in black boots, skinny jeans and a bomber jacket – and Mayer, 30, couldn’t keep their hands off each other, according to a witness. After Mayer settled the bill, they headed over to GoldBar – but not before Aniston sweetly signed autographs and hugged a few fans. At the club, the couple hit the dance floor well into the morning.

Well now … clearly Mayerston are hellbent on giving their second shot a love a fighting chance. I mean … matching black outfits and everything. They are NOT effing around this time. From the beginning, I really liked these two together and was pretty bummed that they decided to call it quits over the summer. To be honest, I never thought they’d actually get back together so I’m glad to see that they proved me wrong. I suppose I should’ve known that the couple might amp up their visibility after Jen‘s Vogue interview came out. As I said, it is very uncharacteristic for Jen to venture out in public with a romantic interest and not try and shun the cameras. This smiling new, photo-friendly Jennifer Aniston is a nice surprise. We’ll have to see if she keeps it up. I’m pretty sure John Mayer is up for happily embracing the paps. Do y’all think that this is the beginning of a serious LTR for the couple?

On Halloween day we got our first look at the new cover artwork for Britney Spears‘s new album Circus and today we get to see what the album’s backside will look like. UK store Tesco has uploaded the backside of the album artwork on their online site, which I now am passing along to all y’all. Here is the back of the Circus album artwork for both the standard and deluxe versions of the album:

You can see that both albums will have the same tracklisting except that the deluxe version will have the UK bonus tracks Rock Me In and Phonography … as well as a bonus DVD of “the making of the Circus album including an exclusive interview with Britney”. Additionally, the backcover artwork features A SCARY ASS MINI-CLOWN offering our dear Britney a birthday cake (the album will be released on her birthday, December 2) as she reclines on a bed, presumably in a circus wagon. I mean … I’m not a big fan of clowns in general but this little guy is kinda extra freaky. BUT, of the Circus promo pics that we’ve seen thus far … this one is the most circus-y. I think I like this photo (scary clown, notwithstanding) … what do y’all think?
