OK … I think I finally got it straight — On Friday we got word that Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood were dunzo … then on Saturday, we got a denial from ERW herself that the pair split — implying that they were still together but, on a “break”. Today all that confusion is cleared up as ERW clarifies that YES the couple are no longer together but NO they did not break up because of a tiff over her brother (as was first reported in the initial break-up report) or because he was “emotionally abusive”. So now the pissy tone of her official statement to People magazine on Saturday makes sense … she is upset that the couple are no longer together. She spoke to US Weekly and proclaimed that she will always “love” and “respect” Marilyn Manson despite the fact that they are no longer together. She also goes on to clarify that she is not dating her co-star Mickey Rourke either (spread the word). Here are a couple pics of ERW lookin’ an awful lot like a cheap imitation of MM‘s ex-wife Dita von Teese at the AFI Fest screening of her movie The Wrestler (which co-stars Rourke) at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre late last week:

Despite splitting with Marilyn Manson, Evan Rachel Wood says the rocker still holds a place in her heart. “I’m always going to love him and respect him,” she told Usmagazine.com Sunday at Hollywood Life’s Behind the Camera Awards in Hollywood. Asked how she is feeling, she told reporters, “I’m doing fine, you know, as best as can be expected.” She denied reports that they called it quits after Manson kicked her brother Ira out of his guest house. “You know, it’s not the nasty thing everybody thinks it is,” she said. “We’ve both got incredible things going on right now. He’s making an amazing album – I’ve heard some of it, and he should be very proud of it. You know, I’ve got [the upcoming drama] The Wrestler going on, and I’m focusing on that,” she added. Of the split, she said, “It’s not a bad thing. It’s life – it happens. But now, it’s like the story that comes right after the breakup [is]: Who am I dating now?” she said. “So right now, I’m just enjoying being on my own. It’s just not in the cards right now.” She denied reports that she is romancing Mickey Rourke, her co-star in The Wrestler. “Everybody thinks we’re dating, and we’re not. Spread the word – I’m not dating Mickey Rourke!” she said. “You know, we developed a close friendship. He’s a great guy, a talented guy. He’s been through it all, and [we had] such intense shoots, I think, because we played father and daughter [in The Wrestler]. I think he’s just kind of trying to take me under his wing.

OY! I’m so glad all of this nonsense has been straightened up. Despite the fact that she sounds like she is still pining for her lost relationship with MM, I think it’s best that she stay away from much older men … at least for a little while. I really hope she’s not getting involved with Mikey Rourke … he is like the ungoth but just as crazy version of Marilyn Manson. ERW is such an amazing actress … it’s a shame to see her running after the crazy sort of guys that she is so attracted to. I doubt that dressing like Dita von Teese is going to win back Mr. Manson … hello, he divorced her, remember? In any event, I wish her luck … with her taste in men, she’s prolly gonna need it.

Things appear to be coming along nicely for Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish who continue to (for the most part) quietly carry on their relationship. The pair, who coupled up after Ryan split from his wife Reese Witherspoon (tho rumored to have hooked-up while he was still married), have been happily together for many, many months now and altho they don’t take great pains to hide their relationship any more, they also don’t really work to show it off either. I really think that these two make a great couple. They obvs care for one another and I’m happy to see that the Ryan has been able to find someone to make him happy. It can’t be easy for Ry to see Reese coupled up with the megahot Jake Gyllenhaal (trust me, it pains me to see it as well) but it looks like Abbie is adequately keeping Ryan‘s attentions elsewhere. If I had to guess, I think that Rabbie will make it down the aisle before WitherSpoon will … wouldn’t you agree?

David Beckham and his eldest son Brooklyn Beckham did a bit of father/son bonding at the Staples Center this weekend as the pair were seen maxin’ and relaxin’ at yesterday’s LA Lakers home game together. Since we now know that Becks will be relocating to Milan, Italy for the first two months of 2009 to play professional soccer with AC Milan and, presumably, his children will remain here in SoCal with their mother to attend school — it looks like Becks wants to get in as much quality time with his kids while he still can. Here are a few really cute pics of Becks and Brooklyn snuggling at the game yesterday:

David Beckham enjoyed a bonding session with his son Brooklyn at an Lakers game in Los Angeles yesterday. The football star wrapped his arm tenderly around his eldest child, who looked delighted at having his father’s attention all to himself. It appears the nine-year-old, who is a keen footballer player, has has also inherited David’s famous penchant for grooming – his hair was carefully styled into a faux-hawk. The pair cheered on as their team defeated the Houston Rockets by the final score of 111-82 at Staples Centre. David is making the most of family time ahead of his move to Milan in January. He is set to join AC Milan on loan from his club LA Galaxy in order to maintain his fitness and his spot in the England squad. But while David decamps to Italy, wife Victoria and their sons will stay in America after the couple decided against uprooting the entire family.

Aww … seriously, aren’t these two the cutest? I’m so glad that Becks took Brooklyn to last night’s game because when last we saw Becks at the Staples Center to cheer on the Lakers, he was in much less cute/more undead company. Glad to see that he’s making the effort to hang with his kids while he still can.

Sad and scary news to report today … Britney Spears‘s happy homecoming to Kentwood, LA this weekend was marred by a medical emergency. Britney and the entire Spears clan in Kentwood had to rush her youngest son Jayden James to the hospital yesterday after the little guy suffered, what is being reported as, a “seizure”. At this point, there is no official confirmation of what happened to Jayden nor do we know for sure if he is still in the hospital but the family did made their way to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Centre in McComb, MS Sunday and where there for some bit of time. Here are pictures of Britney‘s brother Bryan Spears with Sean Preston and his nanny waiting outside the hospital while the other Spears family members were inside with Jayden:

BRITNEY SPEARS rushed her two-year-old son to hospital after he suffered a suspected seizure yesterday. According to sources in the US, JAYDEN JAMES was taken to an emergency ward after lapsing into a “vague and unresponsive” state during a long-awaited family trip to the singer’s hometown of Kentwood in Louisiana. The entire Spears clan made the 25-mile dash to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Centre, Mississippi, including sister JAMIE LYNN. Doctors were unable to pinpoint the problem straight away and kept the toddler in for overnight observation. Distraught Britney, 26, refused to leave his side and asked for a bed next to him in the ward. Ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE is now believed to be making plans to jet out and also be by Jayden’s bedside. Sources say chaos erupted when the toddler suffered a suspected seizure out of the blue, at about 3pm on Sunday. One said: “One minute Britney and her sons were relaxing and enjoying their first visit to Kentwood in months, and the next minute Jayden had fallen ill. “He was vague and unresponsive so Britney dialled an ambulance. But she was told it would take half an hour to arrive, and she was best trying to get Jayden to the hospital herself.” Another added: “They tore off so fast it was incredible.”

This is so sad … I really hope that little JJ is OK and that nothing serious will come of this incident. It’s also sad timing since this is the first time that Britney has been able to visit her hometown in ages and it is Jayden‘s first visit to Kentwood, LA ever. It is my sincere hope that the family was just being cautious and that everything will turn out fine for Britney and her family. It would be such a shame for something tragic to happen after she made such strides to to turn her life around.
