Whew … what a week it’s been. Barack Obama was elected as the 44th President of the United States of America just 5 days ago and I know that so many people are still rejoicing at the news. I happily posted the pics sent in by Pink readers of their celebrations around Election Day and today we get to check out a few intimate, behind-the-scenes photos of the Obama family waiting for the election results on Election Night. President-elect Obama had a bunch of private photos posted to his official Flickr photo album to share his family’s Election Night activities with the world. Here are a few of my faves:

Obvs it was a big night for the Obamas and I think it’s very cool that they are sharing their intimate (and prolly jittery) moments with the world. I suspect that the new First Family is going to be very open about their lives and will do everything they can to share their experiences with all of us. The site Change.gov has already launched and I understand there will be an official blog of the new President when he takes office. Leadership in this country looks like it’s about to take a giant leap forward of inclusion with the people. I can’t wait to see what’s in store in the coming months and years.

She’s baaaaack! Shannen Doherty joined the cast of The CW series 90210 on set at the Gay and Lesbian Center in Hollywood this weekend. I assume that an upcoming ep of the show may have a gay storyline but it could just be that the center will merely stand-in as something else on the show. In any event, Shannen was proudly showing off a new dude on set but it was unclear what, if any, the state of their relationship is. Jennie Garth was also on set, proudly showing off a No on Prop 8 sign she got from the Gay and Lesbian Center to show her disdain for the discriminatory proposition’s passage here in California:

As we learned previously, Shannen was asked back to appear in two more eps of the series later on in the season and it looks like she’s begun work filming those eps. No word on if any other Beverly Hills, 90210 alums will be appearing on the spin-off this season but at least now we know that Shannen is back for sure. I just love that Jennie Garth has joined the chorus of celebs who are vocalizing (in whatever way they can) their opposition to Prop 8 in this State. I understand another round of protests are taking place today … and for the foreseeable future. A few Pink readers have asked if I knew of any planned protests coming up so I offer THIS link to a list of events that should be updated as new events are planned.

In any event, it’s great to see Shannen back to work again (we’ll see if this new guy turns out to be someone relevant) and to see Jennie be so awesome :)

Letters to Cleo reunited in concert on stage at The Roxy here in LA last night and I was very fortunate to be able to be there to bear witness. Kay Hanley, lead singer of LTC, and I have been sorta-cyber pals over the past few months (exchanging emails, txts and Tweets) and last night was our first chance to spend quality time together. We previous got to meet in person at the Veruca Salt show at the Viper Room back in August but tonight was it. I met up with Kay before the show and joined her and her friends and family members for a quick bite to eat at the Rainbow Room. I got to meet her sister-in-law Justine and her brother-in-law Gary and we all hit it off. We didn’t want to miss The Oohlas, who were opening up for LTC last night, so we got over to the venue in time to catch their amazing performance … here are a few pics of The Oohlas rockin’ out last night:

Ollie and the boys were in fine shape. They sounded amazing and their new songs really rocked out. I’m so anxious to hear more. Greg announced from the stage that an EP of new stuff is on the way. Woot!

Then it was time for Letters to Cleo to take the stage … here are a few of the pics that I took last night:

I kid you not, LTC sounded just as awesome as they ever have … they rocked out as if no time had passed since the break-up. Kay sounded divine, USA Mike was jumpin’ around like a madman and Stacey … well … he was just a flurry of drumsticks and flying hair. It was a raucous and extremely fun night all around. I took a TON of photos and some of them are pretty amazing. Click HERE to check them all out. Awake is prolly my fave LTC song and I was too bizzy jumping around while they performed it to video it … but I did manage to vid their performance of Here and Now. OY! Sometimes I just marvel at the time and dedication it takes someone to achieve a body like this … all the hours spent in the gym lifting weights and all the discipline it takes to eat right, sacrificing some of the simple pleasures of life all for the sake of physical fitness. Yeah and sometimes I just think Hot Damn, that boy is hot. I usually end up doing more of the latter than the former. All I know is I’m glad that guys like Anton are the ones out there making the sacrifices to look this hot so that we can enjoy the fruits of their labor. Sounds like a win-win to me ;) Enjoy!!

Peter Facinelli, who is married to 90210‘s Jennie Garth and stars as Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the new Twilight movie, is featured in the new issue of LA Direct magazine. Let you think that Robert Pattinson and Cam Gigandet are the only vamps bringin’ the hawtness in the big screen adaption of the wildly successful book, Mr. Facinelli reminds us that the older dudes can bring the sexy just as much. Some of y’all who may not recognize Peter Facinelli‘s name might remember that he played the loveable douchebag in Can’t Hardly Wait and co-stared with Bill Bellamy on the short-lived FOX TV series Fastlane. Some of y’all might also be aware that Peter has been Mr. Jennie Garth for the past 7 years and that the couple share three children together (Luca Bella, Lola Ray and Fiona Eve). Something tells me that Peter‘s upcoming stint as Carlisle Cullen in Twilight (which is sure to be the first in a multi-film franchise) will win him a whole new slew of fans. If the ravenous Twilighters can tear their eyes away from R. Pattz long enough, they might find a new hottie to salivate over in Peter Facinelli.

When last we saw Vicki B. she was uncharacteristically huddling in the backseat of a common taxicab after a long night of partying with her friends in London … today, we learn that VB has already returned back home to the US and was spied (pun intended) making her way thru LAX Airport this weekend covered from head to toe in a secret agent-like ensemble:

Perhaps VB is trying to make the gumshoe look the new thing in LA or mebbe she’s just ashamed that the world caught her using regular people transportation in London but in any event, Vicki B. is home, LA, home and prolly very happy to be back with her family. Who knows when next Agent Posh will be called up to service by the British Secret Intelligence Service again … until then, she’ll be in SoCal … right here waiting.

Yesterday we saw photos of Britney Spears, her father Jamie Spears and sons Sean Preston and Jayden James upon arrival in Louisiana where they met up mama Lynne Spears and big bro Bryan Spears for a little family holiday/reunion. I speculated that Brit Brit might be spending the rest of the month thru Thanksgiving at home in Kentwood, LA but it turns out that that is not the case. BritneySpears.com has been updated with new rehearsal photos (shot in SoCal) and news that Britney will be spending Thanksgiving in Europe because she will be performing on Star Academy in France on November 28. Here are the new rehearsal pics and this new intel:

Britney Spears will be celebrating Turkey Day overseas. The singer — who returned home to Kentwood, Louisiana, on Friday with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James — will perform on the French show Star Academy on Nov. 28. “Looks like Britney will be spending her Thanksgiving holiday in Europe!” reads the announcement on BritneySpears.com.

She just keeps chugging right along with this amazing comeback of hers. Clearly, she’s making sure to take things one step at a time but her schedule is filling up fast and she is showing no signs of stopping. I think this visit home to Kentwood will be nice and relaxing for her … which is prolly just what she needs before she heads off to Europe to wow her fans there. In addition to a performance on Star Academy in France, Britters is also scheduled to perform on X-Factor in the UK … then her album will be released on December 2. It’s pretty crazy how fast time is flying by … her new album will be upon us soon. I can’t wait.

Sound the trumpets! Ring the alarms! Sienna Miller tells US Weekly that the illicit extramarital affair that she has been having with the very-married Balthazar Getty for the past half-year or so is finally over. Talking to the mag at the Hollywood Dominoes: VIP Launch in London, England this weekend, Sienna confessed her singlehood … before she got snapped creepin’ out of the Automat club in the Mayfair District with a new guy later on that night. It looks like Sienazar are dunzo, y’all!

Sienna Miller and Balthazar Getty have split, the actress tells Usmagazine.com. “I’m single at the moment, and I’m completely happy with that,” she said Friday at the Hollywood Dominoes: VIP Launch in London. “It’s nice not to have a relationship that the press constantly want to scrutinize and discuss. I’m cool with being on my own.” Miller and Getty’s romance first made headlines in July when Getty, 33 — who was married at the time — was photographed kissing a topless Miller, 26, on a boat in Italy. (Miller later sued two British newspapers and a photo agency for breach of privacy for publishing the steamy shots.) On July 21, the Brothers & Sisters star announced that he and wife Rosetta (with whom he has four children) were separated. “In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced in print and on the Internet which has caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that yes indeed my wife and I have separated and I will not be commenting any further,” he said. In August, Miller’s home in North London was vandalized with the word “slut.”

As you may recall, Sienazar were snapped sucking face on the streets of NYC about 2 weeks ago … mebbe that rendezvous was their last hurrah. BUT, we can’t be sad for Sienna … no sir … for it looks like she has already moved on to greener (well, newer) pastures. Later on in the night, after telling US Weekly that she was single I understand that she was spied chatting up Josh Hartnett (and must’ve struck out?) and was seen leaving the club with some unknown dude who was sucking on a lollipop:
