Miley Cyrus Flashes Some New Bling

A promise ring from Justin Gaston?
Saturday, November 8th, 2008

15-year old Miley Cyrus and her 20-year old manfriend and underwear model Justin Gaston (who we spied doing a bit of shopping together earlier this week) were snapped making their way to see a movie here in Hollywood, CA last night … and Miley made it a point to show off a new ring that she was wearing on her left ring finger:

Do any of y’all think that Miley is trying to tell us something with this new ring? Could it have been a gift from Justin? Mebbe he wants to make her his childbride? Mebbe this ring is merely a promise ring … or a chastity ring? Could it be that this ring is nothing more than a cheap piece of tin that she picked up at Claire’s? Is it possible that she is just effing with us?

Rihanna May Or May Not Have Fainted On Stage

She says she didn't but video seems to show otherwise
Saturday, November 8th, 2008

A new fan-recorded video has made its way to the Internets that appears to show Rihanna fainting while on stage with Chris Brown during a concert in Sydney, Australia this week. Because the video is choppy and not very clear, it’s not entirely clear just what happened to Rihanna during this incident but her spokespeople are saying that she did not faint, that she is “fine” and will be ready to perform at future shows. Here is the video in question, so that you can judge for yourself and info provided by Rihanna’s people explaining what they say happened:

Rihanna may have had a rough night Down Under on Thursday, but contrary to other online reports, she didn’t faint on stage, Access Hollywood has learned. The pop star clutched her stomach while running off stage during a performance of “Umbrella” in Australia in footage posted on YouTube, and was rumored to have passed out shortly after. “It was very hot at the venue, so after Rihanna’s set was over, she went off stage and needed to sit down, catch her breath and have some water,” a rep for the star said in a statement to Access. “She is perfectly healthy and will be at her show tomorrow.” The star was joined on “Umbrella” by boyfriend Chris Brown, who finished the song solo after Rihanna left the stage.

I’m not sure if it really matters if the girl fainted, was dehydrated or simply wanted to sit her ass down … homegirl has been working like a mad woman for months now. I don’t blame Miss Ri Ri if she decided to say, “Later, bitches … I’m gonna take a nap right now” after all the hard work she’s being doing since she hit it big with her song Umbrella last year. I hope she did get rehydrated or unfaited or whatever and gets some rest. I got a soft spot in my heart for the little Miss … I don’t want her gettin’ ill or nothin’.

The ‘Bold’ & The Beautiful

The TV Guide
Saturday, November 8th, 2008

Sadly, I think I’m coming down with something … but I haven’t actually said it outloud so I’m trying not to jinx myself. Suffice to say, I wasn’t feeling all that great last night and I ended up sleeping away most of the afternoon/evening/night. I’m feeling a bit better today but I’m not at 100% just yet.

This past Tuesday, AT&T Wireless started selling the new BlackBerry Bold phone but I’ve been so bizzy all week long that I haven’t been able to get out and get one. My BlackBerry Curve started curiously deleting all of my email on random occasions and it was starting to get really old and annoying. I’ve been dying to upgrade my phone for a few months now. This morning, I got my booty to AT&T Wireless and plunked down the dough for my new phone:

Lest people think I’m doing a paid endorsement (which I never do on the site, all advertising is kept separate from and outside of my blogposts), I happily paid for my new phone. I kept going back and forth about getting a Bold or the BlackBerry Storm from Verizon — but since Verizon and Sprint do not work in my apartment, the choice was clear. I had to port my number from T-Mobile which didn’t take as long as I thought it would and now I’m up and ready to go. Anyone who knows me knows that I love electronic toys like this so … I’m having fun :)

Tonight I’m making my way out to The Roxy to see Letters To Cleo’s reunion show!! The Oohlas are opening up for LTC so it’s gonna be a pretty amazing night for me! Woot!

Whitney Port Braves The Windy ‘City’

The winds of change
Saturday, November 8th, 2008

Whitney Port, who is currently working on her new MTV reality series The City, was snapped in NYC this week lookin’ about as fashionable as she could as she fought her way thru the treacherous gale winds that hammered the city … behold:

I gotta say, Miss Whitney gets snaps for managing to keep it together stylistically despite having to battle the elements. As a SoCal girl, Whitney prolly isn’t that used to having to contend with the weather very much … but now that she’s relocated to the Big Apple for fashion and fame, she’s gonna have to learn how to deal. She looks great tho, I’m excited to follow her adventures to come in The City — for neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays this reality TV star from the swift completion of her appointed rounds of drama!

Sarah Michelle Gellar Attends Juicy NYC Flagship Store Opening

She bangs! She bangs!
Saturday, November 8th, 2008

Sarah Michelle Gellar was on hand with a few other “it” celebs of the day at the Juicy Couture Flagship Store opening event in NYC earlier this week. Sporting some pretty major bangs and a fur coat that looks liked it was made out of a litter of puppies, SMG was snapped on the pink carpet lookin’ ready for biz:

I dunno how I feel about SMG’s new bangs. I think they look kinda cute on her but they seem a bit too long? I’m usually of the mind that SMG can do no wrong stylistically so I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt on the locks. The fur coat, on the other hand, gets a big poop sandwich from me. Irregardless of what one things about wearing fur on the animal rights tip, I think the look is really old … as in, grandma-looking. The coat she is wearing looks much better in THIS incarnation than it does on SMG. Let’s hope that the coat is actually fur and is merely tacky and not animal cruel ;) Do y’all like the bangs and/or the fur coat?
