Sad, sad news today … word has it that Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling have decided to call it quits AGAIN after rekindling their romantic relationship (after their last break-up) over the summer. The world cheered the reunion of McGosling when the first pics of the couple re-canoodling made their way to the Internets back in August but, according to a new report, their reunification is no more. They are, reportedly, dunzo, y’all:

RYAN GOSLING and RACHEL McADAMS’ on-off romance is off again, just four months after they sealed their reunion with a public kiss. The pair began dating first time around after meeting on the set of 2004 movie The Notebook. They split in 2007, but reconciled in July (08) and were soon spotted smooching at a restaurant in Toronto, Canada. But friends claim the relationship has hit the rocks again. A source tells Us Weekly, “Rachel is too controlling. They broke up the first time because of their busy schedules – and that’s the problem again.”

Boo! The only comfort I can take in any of this is that we’ve yet to hear official confirmation of their dunzoness from the couple themselves. “A source” doesn’t necessarily instill much confidence in me but … with these sorts of things, you never know until … well … you know. Because the couple were so secretive about their reunion, I can see how they may be just as secretive if they have, in fact, broken up. I think I speak for THE WORLD when I say it would be a terrible shame if the couple have really called it quits. To me, they make the cutest, most perfectest couple in Hollywood … they seem so well-suited for each other. Now, I may be basing that assessment mostly on their interaction in the movie The Notebook but still … I wanna believe that McGosling can live happily ever after. Here’s hoping this report turns out to be completely false.

It is with a heavy and sad heart that I have to report that Tina Fey‘s impersonation of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has been retired. While I would be ecstatic if the real Sarah Palin retired from politics, I am very sad that Tina Fey has decided stop portraying the governor in her insanely hilarious way on Saturday Night Live. It is time to raise our glasses, pour one out for the faux (and IMHO superior) Sarah Palin and peace her the spork out:

Tina Fey’s hilarious turn as Sarah Palin put Saturday Night Live on the electoral map like nothing else in recent memory — viewership is up nearly 70 percent this season. But will Fey continue to moonlight as the gorgeous governor, who could be a parody-worthy public figure for years to come? “I have to retire just because I have to do my day job,” reveals the creator and star of NBC’s 30 Rock (which experienced a 20 percent ratings uptick for its Oct. 30 season premiere). “I think [Kristen] Wiig would do a really good job.” As for whether there’ll be an official Palin torch passing, she says, “Maybe we could get a real torch. Or I could give Wiig the Palin wig.”

While saddened by this news (I would *love* to see just one more SNL skit of Tina‘s Palin reacting to the election outcome this week) I can absolutely understand Tina‘s position. It prolly ate at her soul a bit every time she put that wig and those glasses on. And, to be honest, I’m really looking forward to not having to deal with anything Palin-related for a very long time or, you know, FOREVER. No offense to the fine folks in Alaska but, y’all can have that entire family. Please keep them up there … or sell them to the Russians, whatevs ;) Tina Fey is a genius … much love, props and kudos to her for giving us such comedic gold during this presidential campaign. I’d deffo vote Fey for VP once Obama completes his two terms in office. Wouldn’t a Hillary Clinton/Tina Fey 2016 campaign be awesome?!

After spending almost a year behind bars after being convicted of attempting to pervert justice in the UK, Amy Winehouse‘s hubby Blake Fielder-Civil has been released from incarceration one month early on the condition that he spend a month in a rehab program. Amy, who has been going in and out of the hospital in the past few weeks, is currently out of the hospital and has been seen terrorizing the streets of London with a black make-up tear-stained face, lashing out at anyone who gets near her — oh, it must be Thursday:

Amy Winehouse’s husband was released from jail yesterday after almost a year behind bars for his part in a vicious assault on a pub landlord. Blake Fielder-Civil left Edmonds Hill prison in Suffolk at 8am looking pale and with his arms covered in red scars. The 26-year-old, who has fought a long battle with drug addiction, was not due to be released until next month but was freed after agreeing to attend rehab. Miss Winehouse herself was not there to meet him, leading to rumours of a rift between the pair. Winehouse, who left hospital on Monday after receiving ongoing treatment for a ‘chest infection’, looked far from jubilant as she emerged from the residence at 4pm this afternoon with make-up smeared across her face. She appeared to be in an agitated state, lunging at a photographer stationed outside her home shouting: “Who’s first? Who wants some?”. She refused to comment on her husband’s release. After attending a drugs and alcohol clinic Winehouse was pictured clutching a prescription and falling into a cab as she returned home, her face streaked with dirt and tears. A couple of hours later her father Mitch turned up at her flat and not long after a pizza delivery arrived. After they had eaten no-nonsense Mitch shepherded his subdued daughter to his cab. The singer appeared to have showered and to have changed her clothes after her father’s arrival. However, she was back to her erratic ways later in the evening, sucking on a male friend’s knuckle before later passing out in the back of a cab. Fielder-Civil was sentenced to 27 months in prison in July after assaulting barman James King, 36, outside a pub in East London and plotting to bribe him with £200,000 not to testify. He had already spent nine months in custody after his arrest in November last year. After leaving the prison, Fielder-Civil said: “Now all I want to do is see Amy. It’s tough inside – bloody horrible, but I’m out and that’s all that matters. It’s brilliant.” He added: “It’s welcome to the free world for me and Barack Obama.”

It remains to be seen if Blake has fully rehabilitated his criminal ways but a stint in rehab sounds like a cushy way to finish out one’s jail sentence. Amy, on the other hand, seriously needs to be locked away somewhere … seriously:

Whether or not there is a future for these two also remains to be seen. We’ll have to wait and see what happens after Blake gets released from rehab … you know, if Amy lives that long.

Holy shizz, y’all! As some of you may be aware, Madonna brings her Sticky & Sweet World Tour to Dodger Stadium here in LA tonight and there is some very exciting news to report about tonight’s particular performance. Ryan Seacrest broke some amazing news about tonight’s show on KIIS FM here in SoCal yesterday afternoon that is SURE to thrill fans of Madonna … and Britney Spears … and Justin Timberlake. It is being reported that Madge will bring Britney on stage to perform with her during tonight’s performance AND she’ll also bring JT on stage with her to perform as well:

In an unprecedented concert event, music superstars Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears will appear on stage together in Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium Thursday night. Ryan Seacrest broke the news on 102.7 KIIS-FM Wednesday as much excitement for Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet concert tour grows in Southern California. “If Justin and Britney end up on that stage with her…I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything quite like that before,” said Ryan as he spoke to afternoon DJ Boy Toy Jesse. This marks the first time Britney Spears has been seen with former beau Justin Timberlake in years. It will also be the first time Britney has appeared on stage with Madonna since their controversial kiss in the opening act of the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.

Word is that Britney will join Maddy on stage for her performance of Human Nature and JT will join her on stage for their performance of 4 Minutes. At this point there is no indication that Britney and Justin will appear on stage together at any time but … I guess you never know. Can I just say OMFG?!?! Only the godlike Madonna can bring the world this close to an actual Britney and Justin reunion … this has to be the coolest pop culture news ever. Thanks to my amazing friend and Semtex Girl Denise, I will be in the hiz tonight at Dodger Stadium to witness this event in person! I’m SO dying.
