More ‘Bazaar’ness From Angelina Jolie

The Glamour Issue
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

On Monday we learned that Angelina Jolie is featured on the cover and in the pages of the December issue of British Harper’s Bazaar magazine but were only privy to the stunning coverphoto. Today we get to check out the accompanying photospread … behold:

Ange just looks hot, the end. Again, I’m not sure when these photos were take (either pre-twins or post-twins) but I wouldn’t be surprised if these photos were shot recently. Angelina Jolie is one of those beautiful people who can help but look semi perfect all the time. True these photos were prolly retouched to eliminate any imperfections but you can’t deny that the lady is a stunner. Love these pics.

Jiley Get Back To Biz

The biz of cooing and shopping together, that is
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Miley Cyrus, who just returned to SoCal after another quick promo trip to Europe over the weekend, reunited with her 20-year old manfriend and underwear model Justin Gaston for a little shopping trip in Burbank, CA this week. The couple made their way into Best Buy where JG had to pick up a few DVDs …

… how much you wanna bet that that Cyrus butt-kisser purchased a new copy of the Hannah Montana Movie cuz he wore out his previous copy? Something tells me that Justin Gaston is going to keep his trailer hitched to Miley’s rising star until he is able to break free on his own. Blah, it sounds like tough, sad work but I suspect he’s up to the challenge.

Michael Crichton Passes Away At 66

Author succumbs "unexpectedly" from cancer
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Very sad news to report … famed author Michael Crichton, who penned the novels The Andromeda Strain, Congo and most famously Jurassic Park (among many others), has passed away at the age of 66. Unbeknown to me and I’m sure many others, Crichton privately battled cancer and has sadly lost that battle:

Best selling author Michael Crichton died unexpectedly in Los Angeles after what his reps call a “courageous and private battle against cancer.” Crichton, best known for such books as “Jurassic Park” and “Disclosure,” also created the hit TV series “ER.” His rep released the following statement:

“While the world knew him as a great story teller that challenged our preconceived notions about the world around us — and entertained us all while doing so — his wife Sherri, daughter Taylor, family and friends knew Michael Crichton as a devoted husband, loving father and generous friend who inspired each of us to strive to see the wonders of our world through new eyes. He did this with a wry sense of humor that those who were privileged to know him personally will never forget. Through his books, Michael Crichton served as an inspiration to students of all ages, challenged scientists in many fields, and illuminated the mysteries of the world in a way we could all understand. He will be profoundly missed by those whose lives he touched, but he leaves behind the greatest gifts of a thirst for knowledge, the desire to understand, and the wisdom to use our minds to better our world. Michael’s family respectfully asks for privacy during this difficult time. A private funeral service is expected, but no further details will be released to the public.”

This is very sad news. Michael Crichton is one of those popular authors that everyone knows about but prolly doesn’t spend much time thinking about. His amazingly creative work Jurassic Park (and its sequel Lost World) sparked the imagination of Steven Spielberg who managed to turn Crichton’s vision of the rebirth of dinosaurs into a somewhat believable reality. I’ll never forget how stunned I was that Crichton’s novel could so successfully become “real” on the big screen. To be honest, I’ve read other Crichton books but none of them really captured my attention. It should also be noted that Michael Crichton’s talents were not merely of the literary kind as he was the creator of the hit NBC drama ER. That said, I know that he has legions of fans who I’m sure are mourning his loss today. I think we all join those who mourn the loss of such a talent. My thoughts and condolences go out to his family today.

Mayerston Remain A Sneaky Pair

Keepin' it on the downlow
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Lookie, lookie … it appears that the rekindled romance betwixt Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer is still goin’ strong these days. Mayerston have been romantically reunited for a few weeks now but have managed to stay under wraps pretty successfully in that time. The couple were spotted in close physical proximity out in public a couple of weeks ago in order to celebrate John’s birthday … and here are a couple pics of the pair making their way out of Courteney Cox-Arquette’s home last night after celebrating the election results there. It would seem that lurve is still very much in the air:

As I understand it, media-shy Jen reportedly decided to reignite her romantic involvement with John on the express condition that he shy away from talking to (or seeking the attention from) the media (and the paparazzi in general). On that account, I think he’s managed to stay out of trubs with her. I seem to recall that John was happy to chat with the photogs the first time he and Jen were together … this time, we’ve seen nary a sight of him either with or without Jen in close proximity. I suspect if the couple is able to maintain this level of detachment from the cameras (well, except for the stray pic here or there of the couple sneaking out of this or that venue) then Mayerston may have a long and happy future together. Might there be Mayerston babies in the future? I guess it’ll depend on how good a boy John can stay in Jen’s eyes. Good luck!

Britney Spears’s Left-Over Halloween Treats

Too cute to let pass by
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

In the hub-bub of yesterday’s election mania, BritneySpears.com was updated with adorable photos of Britney Spears taking her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James out for a little trick-or-treating fun. As you may recall, Britney posted a group photo of her family and friends in costume on Halloween night on her site earlier in the week and promised a few more exclusive pics from the night’s festivities … and here are some of them:

As much as I love my girl Brit, I gotta say that her costume and the costumes of her lady entourage were pretty boring. I don’t think there is a more clichéd Halloween costume for women than “The Witch” costume … unless you’re talking about “The Fairy” costume. To his credit, I think papa Jamie Spears looked awesome (and horrifying) as a scary killer clown. Thankfully he didn’t wear his mask when he accompanied his grandyoung’ns on their trick-or-treating rounds. Sean P. and JJ are just the cutest little guys ever. Sean as a lion and Jayden as a turtle are TO DIE FOR CUTE. We know that daddy Kevin Federline picked up the boys from school on Halloween day (you may recall the brothers were dressed as cute bees) but they got to spend the fun Halloween night with their mama … as it should be. I realize Halloween is way over already but these pics are just too cute to let pass by.

Celebs Voted!

They're just like us!
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Woot! A new day has dawned here in America … and the World … and while there is still much to celebrate, there is also much work to get done in the aftermath. It’s also time to get back to the goss ;) Yesterday I created a photo album of friends and Pink readers proudly showing off the I Voted stickers (or handmade signs) that they were given after they voted yesterday and today we get to see a whole bunch of photos of celebs showing off their I Voted stickers, too. Americans came out in record numbers to vote yesterday and those numbers included celebs … here are a few of them who exercised their right to vote yesterday:

Depending on where the celebs live, these photos were snapped in NYC and here in LA. Here is another batch of celebs who came out to vote yesterday:

I’m pretty sure that some of these celebs were voting for President for the first time in their lives and it seems pretty safe to assume that the lion’s share of them added to President-elect Barack Obama’s historic win.

I’ve been getting emails and messages from around the World of folks cheering on Obama’s victory as news of his election as the 44th President of the United States of America made headlines around the world. Here are a few of the UK papers splashing the news across their covers:

David tells me that newsstands all over NYC are selling out of copies of The New York Times, etc. so I would suggest that y’all snap up your local newspapers — wherever in the country you are — and put them away for posterity. I’m just sayin’ ;)

Madonna was in concert in San Diego, CA last night and was on stage when news of Obama’s win was announced … she happily broke the news to her assembled audience and talked a little bit about the momentous nature of the win while on stage. After the jump, check out video of her impromptu speech …
