High School Musical 3: Senior Year was the #1 movie at the box office last weekend, pulling in about $42 million bucks. BUT … it looks like the movie could’ve made a whole lot more if a particular scene was left IN the film. An industrious person is was selling insider production photos from the set of High School Musical 3 in various collections on eBay and offered to throw in a bonus photo from a shower scene featuring a wet and nekkid Zac Efron that was CUT FROM THE FILM:
I would have NO IDEA why a scene like this would be cut from the film but at least we can get a feel for what was left out by the few pics that were put up for auction. After the jump, check ‘em out …
If leaving this scene in the movie wouldn’t sell more movie tickets I don’t know what would. Perhaps this shower scene will be included in the DVD release of the film … if so, I think it’s safe to assume that the DVD will prolly sell well. Clearly, Zac Efron is very happy to show off his physically fit physique in public, so why wouldn’t he want to show it off on screen? How many of y’all would go out to see HSM3 in theaters if you knew this scene was included in the film? Would inclusion in the DVD release make y’all more apt to buy it when it gets released?
Incidentally, the eBay listings for these photos have been removed. No word if they will be released in any other form (HQ?).

it was cut because it’s mildly inappropriate for a “high school” kid to be seen half naked in a teen movie..

WTF? Honestly I think more adults would see it (young adults, that is… before people get insulted :P ) for that scene than the teeny-boppers for the chipmunk style singing and nauseating on-screen ‘romance’ which seems so fake even though they’re really going out.
im glad they left it out…i dont need my 8 year old niece watchin that in a movie….she sees enough of it on tv, atleast i could feel comfortable knowing the movie was a bit safe

It would be a weird scene to show in HSM most of all cos it took them two movies to kiss, showing Troy in the shower for the third one is kinda weird, though by the looks of it he is probably just singing and goofing around. We make it obscene (I just looked at it and thought of 20 plus things that I would do to that boy!) but an 8 year old would not read too much into it. Wasn´t Gabriela in a swimsuit in HSM2? Wasn´t Troy also in the pool showing the same amount of skin he is showing in these pics? I wouldn´t mind my 6 year old watching it, why should he associate a shower scene with sex? He doesn´t even know what that is.

umm….let’s just say i’m happy i have a counter in front of me right now…lol…..no just playing….he’s a very attractive boy…but even though it’s called “High School Musical” I don’t think of it as a teen movie that would have the sexiness that this scene would bring….it’s a kids movie…it’s disney….no need for it…save it for 17 Again…or whatever that new one is called where he’s shirtless in the trailer=)

that’s sexy, i love Zac he’s gorgeous, i can’t believe he’s a disney celebrity, disney’s lame, but then again some of the hottest stars came from disney (Britney, Jt, Xtina, Lindsay) so who cares…Anyway he makes me think things i shouldn’t think while watching a disney movie LOL, now if only we got to see what underneath those shorts(i suppose he was wearing something)…sigh…..
