I love the books and I can’t wait for this to come out! I think kristen stewart looks like the bella describe in the book but i expected more feeling of emotion from her. She cries a lot and smiles in the first book. i don’t get from the trailer. at least the movie seems like its including everything from the book, the car accident, the three nomads, the baseball scene, ballet studio and the prom. i hope its good! can’ wait! OME :)

To me, it looks like they’re doing a good job going from one medium to another. It’s always hard to adapt something and make it equally good. I don’t think that anyone can totally set their opinion until one’s actually seen it. I, for one, am really excited about the movie.

This might sound mean but, I don’t think KS can act either. And that is why she is perfect for this role :) We need a monotone, boring girl, bc that’s how she is in the book!
Melissa, I’m a book nerd like you so I completely agree that it is really frustrating to see these books we loved so much drastically changed in the movie versions. Regarding the legality of the author’s rights about turning the book into a movie, I think many of them sign away their rights when making the book deal. For a new author like Stephenie, she was probably just thrilled that her book was actually getting published and didn’t put too much thought into signing away the movie rights. I read somewhere that she made a three book deal for the first three and Breaking Dawn was a separate deal. If they decide to make New Moon and Eclipse into movies, she will probably have as little control over them as Twilight. Maybe she was more savvy when she made the BD book deal and will have retained more control over any movie that might be made? Although she has said that one would be almost impossible to film b/c of Renesmee… Anyway, it kind of stinks for us book purists but I just try to look at the book and the movie versions as two separate entities.
