‘The Hills’: Men Will Be Boys
OK … OK … I asked for a little more entertainment from The Hills and I am happy to say that that’s exactly what we got. While the drama was far from epic, there was enough hilarious (albeit entirely juvenile) bullshizz in last night’s ep to keep me laughing and satisfactorily entertained for the entire 30 minutes:
Team LC (minus Whitney Port who was off in NYC filming her own series The City and Lauren Lo Bosworth who was, I dunno, just left out I guess) made their way down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to join Brody Jenner and his bros in celebrating his birthday (which occurred in late August). Back home in LA, Stephanie Pratt (who was NOT invited to Cabo) was forced to endure a double date with Speidi. The result … hilarious hijinks on both fronts. Sooooo … I dunno what happened between last week’s ep and this week’s ep because when last we saw Audrina Patridge and Justin Bobby they were skinny-dipping together in her pool talking about their upcoming trip to Cabo — cut to this week’s ep where things start off and the couple aren’t even speaking. Crazy kids. From that point on, things in Cabo looked more like something you’d see at a Junior High birthday party at McDonald’s rather than a bunch of grown men celebrating together. The scene of the guys bitching about the girls in the jacuzzi was so funny. Seriously, they looked like little boys. There was a bit more ignore/fighting between Audrina and JB and then he decided that he was “free” to mack on any girl in sight. Fortunately for JB and Brody, Doug invited a cavalcade of girls to Cabo as a birthday gift for Brody. Unfortunately, according to LC, those girls were gathered from various Applebee’s and Chili’s restaurants around town. Furthermore, while Doug was the one gifting the girls to Brody, he was actually the one enjoying most of them. LOL. Back in LA, Stephanie — who was not included on the birthday trip because Brody hates her and things are prolly still weird after she tried to date Doug behind LC’s back — was forced to garner screentime by double dating with Heidi and Spencer. Even tho she knew that her brother was going to treat her like crap and embarrass her in front of her new boyfriend what’shisname, she did anyways cuz it was her only option to make it on the ep. Steph and her guy were 40 mins. late and Spencer took the opportunity to poop all over their dinner to make her sister feel as crappy as possible. Then, when she tried to make amends and try to talk to Spencer afterward, he yelled at her some more, told her to start acting loyal to her family and then made a strange, high-pitched WHOOP! sound at her. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more successful public shaming in my entire life. By the end of the ep, Audrina and Justin Bobby looked like they were toally, finally dunzo … and things between Stephanie and Spencer had reached a new low. Oh and Doug was prolly still trying to put the moves on any and all of those Applebee’s girls he shipped in for the party. WIN! WIN! WIN! As I said, the episode was not epic by any stretch of the imagination but it kept my attention more than the last few eps. I mean … it was pretty hilarious … dont’ you think?

It was fantastic!! LOVED IT TOO! By far the best episode in a long time. JB is so ridic and when they said the Appelbees thing I about fell over!! Come on, can’t you at least get some buffet girls..so much cheaper!! LOVE IT!! Speidi is ridic. Steph deserves it. Oh all the cheap drama…it’s like an early Christmas present:)!!!

I have never encountered a group of men with so much drama as the Hills men! Seriously! They are such GIRLS! All thier drama and scheming… It’s entertaining, but OMG! If I ever met guys like this, I think I would slap them!

I love how Spencer told Stephanie to be loyal to her family, but not so much when it comes to Heidi, huh? If she were loyal to her family, he’d be so out on the street corner. He’s such a douchebag — I know the Hills isn’t the most realistic show, and there’s no way he could really be like that and still keep Heidi…right?

Doug looks ridiculously similar to my ex, and acts the same too (so you can see why we broke up). Every time he comes on screen I get a really weird feeling..

Did anyone else notice that Audrina’s bathing suit keep switching when the girls showed up for the birthday party?? I think those scenes were filmed at different times and spliced together to make it seem like one evening.

I love most everything about the Hills, but I won’t lie, I think on my list of reasons to watch, seeing Spencer’s level of meanness increase exponentially with each episode has shot right up to number one! Now it’s just hilarious. I also loved LC’s comment about Applebees and Chilis girls lol

Audrina makes Heidi look like a frikkin genius! At least Speidi’s cashin in on their lame-ness…Audrina just gets…crap from JB. She needs to grow up and leave him in the dust. She always rationalizes “oh we’re such good friends”. Just dont talk to the dude! EVER!

OMG when the after show came on and they replayed that part of spencer whooping i about blew spit all over the place. and then to watch lauren and brody laugh at it as well just made it all the more funny. that was my highlight :D

Lo was not “just left out.” Know the facts before you print. She was on vacay with her family (a photo was shown at the televised season premiere party). Kinda refreshing that SOMEONE puts family first.

As much as I hate to admit it I do really love this show. It has grown on me over the last few seasons. Although I do have to say that if it were my life being filmed… no matter how real or scripted some of it may get, I think I would look at some of the things that go on and be slightly embarrassed by how I look! They really do act like they are still in high school! Although I’m sure the money and the free booze helps :) bring on next week!

“All girls are shady” I died laughing. Why is Doug in the show still, he seems like the biggest douche bag. But he is still funny. But you gotta love Spencer, he is so mean to everyone, and I love it.

The Hills is kinda going down hill for me. It is like they don’t even try to be what they used to be. It comes across as scripted and just not as interesting anymore. However, I did watch The Hills, The Lost Scense this weekend and wondered why they edited out those scenes! They were absolutely hilarious and much better than what we see Monday night. Audrina had Lauren’s cat shaved except for it’s head, the end of it’s tail, and it’s feet because when Audrina first moved in she found out she was allergic to cats. Lauren knew nothing about it and was in complete shock when Audrina came home with the cat. Why didn’t they air that!?! Whitney’s show looks exciting and can’t wait for that to air.
