The David Has Landed
As I suspected, yesterday was a pretty chill day for me. I did my best to tidy up and stock the fridge before David’s arrival last night. He ended up arriving early so we were able to spend some great quality time last night before we had to go to sleep … and by quality time, I mean we watched the Barack Obama 30-minute infomercial American Stories, American Solutions together … and then we watched the drama unfold on Top Design. He’s not as big a fan of the show as I am but I think he enjoyed it nonetheless. Try as they might, Top Design just can’t be Project Runway. It’s really hard to get excited about interior design. The drama that occurs between the contestants is kinda fun but … it just doesn’t have the same appeal. I’ve watched this season from the beginning so I’m totally invested to the point where I have to see it thru. I’m pulling for Nathan to win it all. This season ends next week.
Tonight, David and I have been invited to the opening night of Spring Awakening at the Ahmanson Theater here in LA, so we’re both very excited. We’ve each attended performances of the show on Broadway in NYC and I’m anxious to see it again. Should be fun.
Steph and Alek arrive home from Paris, France tonight (for good!) and David’s sister Eden arrives from NYC for the weekend. It’s gonna be bizzy, bizzy around here this Halloween :)

I’m glad to see on your Twitter that the Obama special made you tear up…I was on the verge of major tears many times throughout the 30 minutes…that was so well done, SO well done! 5 dayyysss!

I watched Top Design last night for the first time and I actually liked it. I missed the last 5 minutes did that lady leave? I felt bad for the other woman. The lady who had the decision to leave was like should I or shouldn’t I while the other woman was basically standing there waiting patiently to find out if her time had come or not. Those chandeliers were awesome! I want that long green one. You are right, it is no PR but it is entertaining!

awww man u hurt my feelings:( I’m an interior designer:( lol, just about to graduate, I hope somebody finds in exciting so I can make me some skrilla boyyyy!!! haha. Just so everyone is aware, top design is moreso leaning towards interior decoration than design (they dont do anything structural) Anywho, yes baracks show was the bomb, as usual, god I hope he wins sooooo much, it doesn’t hurt that he’s definitely a DILF, lol

I’m an Interior Design major as well and I have to say I enjoy watching PR much more! Actually, I don’t even watch Top Design or any other design show unless it’s the only thing on T.V. Plus, like Steven said, all those shows are actually decorating. You’ll never find me painting a client’s wall, we hire professional painters! Lol.. sorry, my little rant. Most Interior Designers spend their time in the office, in showrooms selecting pieces, or at a client meeting. If they are even on a job site, it’s just to supervise. Okay, done. I promise : )

We’ve all got our junk…. — SUCH a fabulous production! Wish I could see it again, too!! I still listen to the soundtrack all the time, even a year later!
