Smoke Gets In Your Eyes
Things were pretty quiet for me yesterday. I had an appointment in the afternoon and then had to run a quick errand at VW in Santa Monica, CA (needed to pick up an iPod cable for my new baby) and that was pretty much my day. Sadly, I noticed the plumes of black smoke wafting into the air from the Northern section of The Valley which are currently on fire. There are so many amazing things about living in SoCal but the wildfires are not one of them. I’m very lucky to live in an area unaffected by the wildfires but it’s a very ominous and sad thing to see smoke wafting thru the air, especially when that smoke is coming from uncontrolled fires that are destroying people’s homes.
David will arrive here in LA tomorrow evening and I still have a few things to take care of here at the homestead. I’ll be doing a bit of tidying up for a good portion of the evening … which won’t be fun but is very necessary.

The fires are horrid. Hopefully they contain them soon! My friends can see the ones in San Fran from their office. I couldn’t imagine!
