‘Project Runway’: The Final, Floral Four
Last night’s ep of Project Runway pitted the final four designers in a challenge that had the potential to allow them to show off their natural talents. With the competition coming down to the wire, the challenge tried to inspire a new level of creativity in the designers … whether or not they were successful is left in the eye of the viewer:
The designers were taken on a field trip to the New York Botanical Garden in order to find inspiration in the natural beauty they found there. After the jump, find out who was in, who was out and who was able to design a winning evening gown inspired by the organic beauty in the ep titled Nature Calls …
Okay, right off the bat I had a sneaking suspicion that the PR folks were gonna pull out a surprise at the end — and I was right. Even tho only 3 designers will compete at the Finale Fashion Show at Bryant Park, all 4 designers were allowed to go home so that they would create collections for one last final judging process. While I was deeply annoyed by this little twist, I can appreciate PR’s desire to stretch out the excitement for as long as they can. There was only one winner last night and no losers … which I found bothersome, especially when I felt that there was a CLEAR LOSING design on that runway last night:
I don’t even have the energy to go into how much Kenley annoys the crap out of me. I am just amazed at how ignorant she is of her own behavior. She is always so surprised when people choose to shun her because she has no clue how much of a brat she is. I hope, for her sake, that she is able to learn from this experience what a pompous and annoying person she was on the show. My fave quote from Kenley was, “I wasn’t going for elegant, Heidi“ (she also claimed that she wanted to “stay away from pretty” — LOL). Yeah, mission: accomplished. Nina Garcia was SO right to call her dress “creepy”. I would add fugly … I’m utterly convinced that Kenley wasn’t axed in order to generate drama for the finale. While Jerell, Korto and LeAnne all love each other there has to be an outside villain to keep things interesting (think Wendy Pepper, season 1). Sorry to say Kenley but you are Wendy Pepper. I really did love this ep … I was anxious and was held in suspense until the very end … I think it was my fave ep of the season — most likely, the drama helped make it work for me.
But yeah … what else can be said … we still have to wait to see who will compete for the prize in the finale … no one is safe, not even Jerell who won last night’s challenge. I’m ready for the finale … I want to see the head-to-head blowout come to fruition already. All this foreplay is really getting to me. In the end, I have to agree with Jerell … I believe it will be him, Korto and LeAnne “ayt tha teyent”, bitches! Thoughts?

I had a suspicious they would do this too. OMG I hated Kenley! I got my boyfriend hooked on this show and he’s currently in Germany. He calls me not to ask how I’m doing but to find out who got “auf’d”. Oh how I love him…but I digress.
I’m glad the judges finally addressed her attitude problem. Yes they are based on their talent but these designers are being put out into the fashion world with PR’s stamp of approval – do they really want Kenley to be an ambassador of them? Well maybe now because of the potential move to Lifetime…might as well sabotage the brand now!
Between Leanne, Korto, and Jerrell – I’d honestly be happy if any of them won.

While I think she’s pretty annoying and a big Miss Know-It-All, this is Kenley’s first design I didn’t really like. She’s obviously this year’s Wendy Pepper, who I didn’t mind personally (it is a competition, after all) but whose designs I generally hated.
Jerrell, OTOH, hasn’t made an outfit I loved all season. I think he’s kinda made it through being firmly in the middle of the pack the whole time. He is very OTT, though, and I think that will keep him in the competition. Producers are going to go for the biggest personalities. It wouldn’t be much of a final episode if there were no conflicts in the final workroom.
I really want the final 3 to be Kenley, Leanne and Korto, but I think it will be Kenley, Leanne and Jerrell.

Kenley is wretched. I became nauseous during her confessional about growing up on a boat with her dad and blah blah blah. She’s just a spoiled brat who was never around enough people during childhood to harbor any social skills. I knew they were going to pull this no loser business as soon as Heidi’s eyes perked up during judging and she managed to fake a “though her attitude sucks, I’m interested to see what else she has…” yeah…right

I was in shock when Kenley said that she didn’t know why people don’t like her. Um, hello, you’re rude to everyone! Tim and the judges should be respected at all times. Maybe we’ll find out on the reunion show that she saw herself in a new light when the show aired and that she is a changed woman.

I AM SO PISSED!!! eff kenley. send her home. if Korto would have designed a better dress then it would have been the 3 going (everyone BUT kenley). she is such a friggin brat!!! the past 3 weeks she has made something fugly, yelled at heidi and then gets to stay?!

I think it was cool the first couple of times that PR pulled a surprise of who would be showing at the end but this 3rd time was just annoying. I was really excited to see who would go home. In the past 2 seasons the “surprise” actually excited me but this time it just angered me. I agree, they are only keeping her on b/c of the element of drama she brings to the show. To think I actually liked her the first few episodes!

I wasn’t impressed with any of the dresses..I felt like, at this stage of the competition, they all should have whipped some gorgeousness out and no one did..I’ve cheated a bit and checked out everyone’s runway shows and I, personally, liked Kenley’s the best..Her attitude is horrible and I really can’t understand how she can’t see how disrespectful she is, but I think she makes great clothes!

Only thing I loved about this episode is the way the bottom of LeAnne’s dress moved. Nothing else was impressive from anyone. :(

Ugh! Why, WHY did they keep Kenley? She’s such an arrogant biotch. Her designs are nothing great and have NO artistic factor whatsoever. She doesn’t deserve fashion week. I loooove Jerrel! Korto’s got talent, last night was lacking a little bit, but fine overall. Leanne is so understated, but has nice designs.

I loved that when they asked Jerell’s final question and Kenley cut in and tried to “defend” herself, and Jerell told her “I think they’ll get to you in a second, so at that point you can start speaking.” I laughed so hard at what he said.

I have to start watching beauty pagents because I was shocked that the judges saw Korto’s dress as a pagent dress. I felt like a fashion wannabe because I liked her dress. Kenley needs to go get on her Dad’s tug boat and get back out to sea.

I find it so funny that everyone compares Kenley to Wendy Pepper. Why must it be a woman who fights for herself and stands up for what she believes be a bitch? When Santino back in season 2 fought with Nina it was ‘great TV’ and made fun of Tim Gunn it was ‘funny’. However, when a girl does it she’s rude, or a dumbass, or arrogant. Guess what guys, take a look at the fall fashion issues of Vogue, Elle, or Glamour- 50’s/60’s style is back in a HUGE way, probably because of the popularity of the TV show Mad Men, so I guess Kenley’s fashion style is not so off after all. (I do agree that last night’s dress was not her best) She deserves to be in the top three & I hope she wins.

Ugh, somebody needs to TUG BOAT Kenley away from the rest of civilization! She is such a bratty cow! I loved how the entire episode Korto Leanne and Jerrel shunned Kenley, working on opposite ends of the work room and basically telling the judges that they thought she was rude and had no talent, hahaha! I had tears in my eyes, of laughter! She totally is the Wendy Pepper of PR5, except I hardly EVER liked what Wendy conjured up but I have mostly liked what Kenley has designed. I really liked Jerell’s dress, it was so pretty and fresh :) I didn’t really like Leanne’s dress, it was too much and kinda reminded me of a quincenera dress! Korto’s dress was very pretty, except for the lace. If she had gone for another fabric other then lace, I think the outcome would have been better. As for Kenley’s dress- blagh!! Fugalicious! Can’t wait for the next episode! I have a feeling Jerell is going home :( which makes me sad! But I really think the competition is between Korto and Leanne, it doesn’t matter who accompanies them to BP

KENLEYYYYY doesn’t deserve to be there at ALL. I try to scrape a feeling of sympathy for WHY she is so defensive..but srsly….she’s just SAD and I mean what korto said is right if she was good and talented she wouldn’t have to defend herself so much most of the time….PS georgina chapman….is so pretty. OMG I wished heidi SLAPPED her hahahha

I’m praying that Kenley will be ASS OUT and get axed from the competition. She has had some good designs but they have all ben 40-s-50s inspired. She has NOT shown any versitility. We’ve all seen what happens when she goes out of her comfort soon (HIP HOP outfit. Do I need to say anything else?) I mean she’s even pissed Tim Gunn off! Even Santino never did that!!!

I’m in love with Jerell… i can’t help but die laughing at everything he says and all of his quirky facial expressions!!! but if kenley even makes it to the top three, i will NEVER watch again… ARGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hate her!!!
