Does Anybody watch, American Justice, Or Cold Case Files on TV? Detectives have found Murderers that have committed crimes before DNA testing was available. Even though the crime scene was so badly handled back in 1994.
The chances of anyone else but Simpson committing the crime. Is greater than the number of people on this earth. Fact! If Simpson is capable of nearly decapitating the Mother of His Children while They slept just an earshot away. He would not blink at the the opportunity to take with armed force. That which does not belong to Him technically. He should have stopped when He was ahead. End of story!

i totes agree “obama does suck.” so are we not supposed to convict criminals just b/c they have only 1 parent? kids will get taken care of by someone. and they really aren’t kids anymore either. also, i do agree that obama does suck! haha

The guy snuffed out two lives – he needs to pay and this (unfortunately) is the only way. It’s a shame that because of the nature of this conviction, he probably won’t be placed with other psycho killers … and he will be released.

The children are screwed either way. Who’s to say for sure what’s best for them at this point but I don’t think OJ was much of a dad anyhow if he was busy dabbing in illegal matters. Never once saw him with the kids anyway. Even so, I’m not sure what their feelings are towards him, or what their beliefs are concerning his involvement with the murder. Depending on what they believe, they may very well want justice for their mother.

I am personally thrilled – as many are – that OJ is going to finally do prison time. That doesn’t mean this trial was a farce that was used to just put him in prison and it doesn’t mean the jury didn’t do as instructed and look at the facts. The facts were pretty damning – they have him on tape saying to not let anyone leave. That’s kidnapping. No one reasonable would believe he didn’t know about the guns – that’s armed robbery and assault. The jury did what they were supposed to do – decide whether he committed these crimes. It’s ridiculous to say they convicted him because of the murders he committed. OJ thought he could get away with anything, behave any way he liked, do whatever he wanted. His arrogance is what did him in. He’s a dangerous psychotic murderer and we’re all better off without him being free.
Btw, I find it amusing that Julie never says she became a lawyer – no doubt she either didn’t finish law school or couldn’t pass the bar.

I suppose that was the best you could do —an emotional rant.
On a side note, noone takes online communications very seriously (as you do apparently) so even if you’ve said ” I’m currently practicing law ” …which you didn’t—Noone cares enough to believe you or even pay close attention to your stats. No need to thank me, I hate to see you in the dark for the next few yrs, so consider it a treat.

Just a word of advice, take it or leave it.
Your “higher than thou” attitude won’t take you very far. By being condescending, you only prove to others how much you lack, and not what you have to offer.

I’m sorry to point this out but for a self-proclaimed law student you sure seem to lack logic, decency and commen sense.. or is that a pre-requisite these days…
I honestly don’t believe you know the first thing about “fairness” or “justice”. The law, although is helpful to maintain relative peace in our lives, is not/will never be perfect.
You probably believe that by following the books, you’re doing justice for all but that’s not always the case. OJ was acquitted why? it wasn’t that there were lacking evidence, but that it turned into a media circus and became a racial issue. Mark Furman may be partially to blame, but in reality, the whole of america and political correctness was to blame for the injustice in the verdict.
I can not understand how anyone can have a problem with a monster like OJ FINALLY getting his due.
It might not be fair on a legal standpoint just observing this case in particular, but he showed no mercy to his victims and I applaud the jury and the judge for this long due payback..although I’m sure the victim’s family will still be haunted by the atrocity commited by him.
I hope if you truly are a student of law and pursue this career, you’ll learn to utilize commen sense and learn to understand the victim’s sufferings before trying to become the next shameless and heartless POS Cochran.

Jane Doe, I’ve had a loved one brutally murdered. What I can tell you is that no matter how you put it even jail time isn’t enough to bring back a loved one. All I stated was this trail isn’t about the murders and if you wish to discuss it intelligently you should discuss it based on the premises of THIS trial. He had a criminal and a civil trial, for whatever reason in the criminal trial he was acquitted, and the families won a monetary settlement in the civil trial . The jury then could have chosen a different verdict, it’s happened in our system before. The murders are now between OJ, his god, the Brown and Goldman families and not the public therefore you get the judge not lest ye be judge comment. This case is about armed robbery, try discussing that.

Racist Jane Doe, obviously he committed another crime. I’m saying that it’s senseless and wrong for people to be all “yay, the murderer gets what he deserves” when this trial was not about murder. It’s not a free pass, and it’s certainly not about being black. (Can we please move past the race thing already?) It’s about justice being even-handed and cool-headed, as it should be. As for this second crime, it smells like a setup to me. Of course, OJ was a tool and fell for it, but clearly it was a setup nonetheless. And this law school I went to has the highest bar passing rate in the state, Dean Al Sharpton notwithstanding. Would you care to throw any other black men’s names or other racist references in the mix while you’re at it?

Do you mean how the cops in the Rodney King case were retried on a federal level to appease the mob? OJ wasn’t tried twice. HE COMMITTED ANOTHER CRIME. What part of that can you not comprehend? Did you learn in law school that if a black man gets away with murder it means a free pass for every crime he commits for the rest of his life?? You sure went to an odd law school- must have been run by Al Sharpton.

I was in Pennsylvania. In high school. Does it matter? Then later I was in law school, where I learned that you shouldn’t be able to contrive a new criminal trial if the first one doesn’t work. Read some books, and call me when you learn the difference between “fair” and “just.”

julie, the purpose of having a law is to serve the people and bring justice to the deserved. The Law serves US.
If the justice system haven’t failed us the first time around, there would’ve been no trial yesturday because his murderous a** would’ve been in jail already and there wouldn’t be so much anger now from all over the country.
Point is, he should’ve been convicted then, and if some people think it’s unfair/unjust to convict him now, where were you and your outrage when he was originally charged “not guilty”?

If we applied that to slavery, segregation and racism we would still be living like 1750′s. If someone judges the KKK or the Jasper TX 3 do you tell them not to be sooo judgemental? The last I heard Don Imus and Michael Richards didn’t commit any crimes…. yet look at all those who have judged and demonized them.
