Miley Cyrus & Justin Gaston Reunited At Last
Yesterday we saw photos of 20-year old underwear model Justin Gaston spending some quality bike-riding time with 8-year old Noah Cyrus (Miley’s youngest sister) which I found an odd pairing but today things appear to be back to normal. Well, as normal as a 20-year old man hanging out with a 15-year old girl can be. Miley Cyrus has returned to SoCal after a quick trip to London, England over the weekend and made a beeline to an ice cream shop in Beverly Hills, CA bringing along her 20-year old friend Justin Gaston. Justin was snapped trying to feed some ice cream to Miley in the backseat of their car as they drove away from the shop but Miley didn’t seem to keen on what he was trying to feed to her:
I mean, the couple says that they are “just friends” but … I dunno. They look awfully couply to me. It should be reiterated that both Cyrus parents have put their stamp of approval on this relationship, whatever it is. I guess, in the end, if her parents are cool with this relationship then there really is no problem here. Even still … doesn’t the whole thing strike you as really weird tho?

Well there is 15 and then there is “world super star 15″…I think she may have enough experience to date a 20 year old and I am sure he won’t use her anymore than she will use him.
So it seems like a fine arrangement which is all these things seem to be anyway, ever since finding out Britney and Justin were sleeping together when she claimed to still be a virgin, my image of these child poptarts has changed to realize that they aren’t as closely watched as they should be and their parents will let them do whatever they want to make sure they don’t lose the golden goose.
Kind of sad, hope she comes out of this childhood better off than Lindsay or Brit

yeah i think shes probably mentally older than 15 bc of the world she lives in but still there is such an age gap between 20 and 15….even if her mind is at like 17 or 18 thats still such a difference…20yrolds are just at a different place in their life…WEIRD. if i were 20 and a dude id see a 15 yrold girl as a child…not to mention JAILBAIT.

He’s too hott to not be getting any! I don’t know how Miley manages to not jump him right there in the back of the car!! ;) I don’t think this is weird – if she was 25 and he was 30 no one would bat an eyelid. I’m sure the industry she is in has matured her beyond her years and to be honest, my exprience of 20 year old boys makes me think they have a maturity level of about 15 anyway!!

in about 2 years, when they might still be together, no one talks about the age anymore.
eventho its still a diff of 5years then..
when she’s 18 and he’s 23, nobody even cares anymore.

If this is so weird, then what about Hayden and Milo? Noone ever seems to talk about how strange it is for a 30 year old to date a 17 year old. Just cause Hayden appeals to an ‘older’ audience (Heroes) unlike Miley who is pretty much the queen of teenybops, people tend to forget that she’s not actually that much older than Miley.

Perhaps I’m too old to get it, but there is something about a 20 year old having romantic feelings for a 15 year old that squiks me out. He’s spoon feeding her while she makes faces like a toddler in the one picture. How is that not creepy as hell?

I don’t find anything weird about this. My sister and brother in law were ages 15 and 21, respectively, when they met, and they have been together for 10 years now. This is not the 1800s, people just want to make a scandal even when there isn’t one. And Hayden and Milo are even farther apart but no one seems to care about that!

Who knows if they’re really even “dating”. Most these celeb “romances” are PR stunts. It’s just another way to keep her name and photo in the papers. She’s fug, btw. Lollipop!

And him – one has to wonder what the heck is wrong in the mind of a 20 yr old underwear models head that seems even remotely interested in dating a teenager.

When I was 17 I started dating a 22 year old (same age difference-5 years) and we were together for 4 years. I think she is 16 in a few weeks. I just hope she stays true to her virginity.

To all of the people above who think that somehow Miley’s career choices make it okay for her to date a guy that would go to jail were he to sleep with her, NOT COOL. If anything, all of her experiences will make her more susceptible to being taken advantage of, not less (why do you think so many child stars have issues later in life?). And, there is a way bigger developmental differences between 15 and 20, than say, 25 and 30, which anyone who has been in high school is well aware of. And the last time I checked, Trent has commented many times that Hayden and Milo’s age difference is extremely ooky as well, so it’s not like everyone just gives them a pass (although they tend to fly under the radar & it is LEGAL for them to date b/c Hayden is 18). This guy is totally taking advantage of her & her parents are really stupid if they think this is ok. I just hope this isn’t the beginning of the end for poor Miley, even though I don’t understand her popularity, I don’t think anyone deserves to be taken advantage of at such a young age IMHO.

No I don’t think it’s a big deal.
When I was a 15 year old, some girls dated guys in college and parents approved (on a case by case basis; some did not).
Teenagers are having blow job parties – it’s not like the 17 year old guys as a whole are going to be more respectful than ones a few years older.
As for the sex thing – in some states the age of consent is 15 or even younger – the only thing making sex illegal (if there is any taking place) is CA’s stricter laws. They could go have at it in other states! Teenagers have sex – what does it really matter if one is of high school age and one of college. He’s not thirty, folks!

everyone keeps saying how they don’t think there is a problem of the 5 years age difference but the thing is she is still young.
the older you get, of course it will be less of a problem but also look at the fact that she is a DISNEY kid! For a 15 year old even dating a 17 year old is still weird, let alone a 20 year old
but whatever, this is probably for publicity and she is probably wanting to show Nick Jonas she can get hot guys, while he is dating someone his age

Trent, I don’t know why you keep saying you find this creepy…they’re BOTH babies in my mind anyway. What 20 year old BOY knows what he wants anyways?? In a few years, both of them will grow into adults. Everyone has to deal with different obstacles in relationships…ESPECIALLY first ones…thats when you make ALL your mistakes. How else will you learn? What 15 year old girl DIDN’T want to date a hot 20 year old when they were younger??? I didn’t have posters of Leonardo Di Caprio on my wall for NOTHIN.

I can see why SHE would want to date him, but why would a 20 year-old guy want to be with a 15 year-old?? I mean, it’s obviously for his career advancement. BLATANTLY obvious. But it’s so illegal and GROSS, and really puts him in a bad light, which is definitely not good for any “career” he has in mind. And Milo and Hayden as a couple have always been squicky, too, but as some posters have pointed out, no one really jumped on the fact that Milo was committing statutory RAPE the whole time. I mean, how in the hell is it cool for a 30 year-old MAN to be sleeping with a 17 year-old?? Even this website, which I lovelovelove, never pointed out that fact. Hollywood is so messed up, and it just keeps on chewing these kids up and spitting them out.

my parents started dating when my mom was 15 and my dad was 20. (granted they grew up together… with her dating his brother and him dating her sister…) they’re still going strong after 28 years of marriage. i can only hope i am as lucky as they are. concerning those that say “it’s against the law to have sex with a 15 year old if you’re 20″, yes it is. however i don’t think it would hold up in court if the couple is seen out and about together. kids are having sex. early. earlier than you had sex and earlier than i had sex. so what if she’s had sex?! so what if she wants to wait until marriage? so what if she wants to never have sex? it’s her decision. the only issue i have with it is if she starts blabbing about it… then it’s a little creepy as she’s on the disney channel and has 7/8 year olds looking up to her. it’s unfortunate that no one is immune to the “are they having sex inappropriately” discussions. she’s like any normal 15 year old… just on a much “grander” scale.

I am sorry, guess I am old. I have a 15 yr old daughter and I would view a 20 year old dating her as a perv, 15yr olds are no way mature enough to handle someone that old. Maybe in 5 years but not yet. And I am sure they are having sex, she doesnt have the maturity to say no.

yeah, 15 yr old little miss purity ring has lots of “worldy experience” *insert roll eyes here* im 20, and couldnt imagine my guy friends dating 15 yr olds. not only is it illegal, its just wrong.
the thing is, if she was 18 of course it wouldnt be a problem because she would be an adult. there is a HUGE difference between 15 and 18, even though its only 3 years. most 18 yr olds look back at themselves at 15 and cant even believe the difference. its got nothing to do with being “unfair.” as you grow up, even though the age gap remains the same, you become closer in the phases of your lives.
hayden is 19 isnt she? i think the age difference between her and milo is too big but at least she’s an adult. same with hilary and joel, she was an ADULT. miley is having birthday parties are disneyland still for crying out loud. she’s got a hell of a lot of growing up to do because she’s STILL A TEENAGER who shouldnt be dating a 20 yr old.

What’s weird to me is that he’s not smiling; he looks like a dad feeding his toddler at 6 am. Doesn’t look to me like he even LIKES her, but is just in it for the publicity. It seems scripted, but it doesn’t work because he’s a bad actor. If they’re really dating, where’s the happiness & flirting?

You’re absolutley right, mimi! Also, thinking that a 15-year-old dating a guy 5 years her senior is not that much different from a 25-year-old dating a 30-year-old is ridiculous! By that logic, a 13-year-old dating an 18-year-old is not a big deal either. Honestly guys…she may be in Hollywood but that doesn’t mean she’s more mature…there are lots of regular girls her age who act the way she does. It’s just she’s been told to appear older than she really is. Can you really look at those last three pictures of her and not think she’s still a kid?
