Lindsay Lohan Blogs: ‘On Being Lindsay Lohan’
An outsider, you say?

Lindsay Lohan has posted a new blog on her official My Space profile that was written, apparently, on a computer behind Samantha Ronson‘s DJ decks at a club in Washington DC last night — really. In this new blogpost, Lindsay waxes poetic on feeling like an “outsider” sometimes when the attention of certain situations (like the one she was in while she was blogging) isn’t focused solely on her … and then, I think, she takes a dig at Sarah Palin or something. Yeah, instead of me trying to describe what she wrote how ’bout we just read exactly what she wrote:

all grown up and .. an outsider for some nights..

all grown up and .. an outsider for some nights..
How does it feel to be an outsider?….behind the scenes type of feeling.
Picture this in your head, if you’re willing to focus for a second my friends ;)
Washington, D.C.- you’re probably thinking that you are going to a monument of some sort… well, you’re highly wrong loves….
Washington, D.C.-you’re in a club, you are here for support for someone that you care for very much, VERY MUCH.. But, you’re here just to chill and support, not to be seen and heard… Not to be on display in the dj booth…or to feel as if you are in a cage at the Bronx Zoo…
Do you see what i am getting at???
Alright, so i am literally sitting in the dj booth at a club in Washington, D.C. where Samantha is djing and they have a computer at the back of the booth, which i am on right now..
aside from the fact that she is an amazing dj and i am having a nice time, the glass mirror placed to my left to hide me from photos (literally) is making it all a bit uncomfortable!!!

This blog isn’t really intended to mean much, it’s just something to let people into my life-kind of a blog to let people know that i am working hard and i go out when samantha is working because she’s pretty great to hear and i love to be around her and her energy as much as possible.

Sitting here makes me think about the fact that if Sarah Palin was in office, and living in Washington.. On a “slow” night, she would probably be dressing as one of the gossip girls or tina fey to try and “be cool” enough to get into this club.

I guess me thinking, and blogging about her gives her more attention and credit than she actually deserves.. but as Madonna says. “Express Yourself”

so…. i will
now and forever
be blessed
xx L

this song has nothing to do with Palin .. fyi

HMMM. As best as I can decipher, I think Lindsay is trying to convey the feeling of being a person who is outshined by someone else who happens to be enjoying all the attention while she is being overlooked. I’m not exactly sure what the point of this blogpost is but I do find it very fascinating that Linds is sometimes aware that she isn’t always the center of attention in every single instance. I don’t take her feeling like an outsider to any sort of jealousy of the attention that Samantha was receiving … it’s like she just suddenly became aware of this new feeling and decided to blog about it. Clearly it was something she wanted to get off her chest cuz she couldn’t wait to get home to blog about it … she decided to start writing right there in da club. Incidentally, I believe Sam was DJing at Lotus Lounge in DC for a charity event benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network (that is where these photos of the girls were taken). I quite like when Lindsay blogs … it gives us a very interesting look inside her life, inside her head … don’t you think?

It is interesting alright. The scary part is people who are recovering addicts who feel this way can sometimes relapse when the feelings get to strong. Lets hope that isn’t the case. Stay strong baby girl, god knows I couldn’t if I was in all those phat clubs!!

I read it as Lindsey being frustrated that she has to hide a bit when she’s out with Samantha due to people’s interest in their relationship..Is she still trying to keep this under wraps? She doesn’t want a bunch of pics taken of her hanging out with her gf? I don’t know..That’s just how I read it..

I saw Lindsay and Sam a week ago here in Chicago, when Sam was doing her monthly DJ duties at Crimson Lounge. For the record, Lindsay did look like a caged animal and I kinda felt bad for her b/c everyone was just doing their best to see her. The only time she looked happy was when Sam played Bossy. But guess what…if you’re going to come hang out while your girlfriend “spins” and the DJ booth is glass and everyone can see you no matter where you sit or stand, i dont feel sorry for you. ALSO, Sam is horrible DJ…she just plays songs back to back…there’s no mixing at all. She scratched a couple of times but it sounded horrible.

    Theyre so adorable together.

  5. Mr C says:

Isn’t funny how people interpret things differently? I took the blog to mean that she was there to support her friend and wished that the attention was more on Samantha and the actaul event and not on herself.

  6. Mr C — you may be right, I didn’t even see it in that context.

  7. D. says:

I had the exact same thought as Mr. C…I’m not sure how that relates to “sometimes I feel like an outsider”, but the main text of the blog deffo felt like she was saying “hey it’s Sam’s gig. giver HER the credit and attention and let me just be here in the background”

  8. Ashley says:

Yeah when I read this I was thinking Lindsey was upset because she thought she was stealing Sam’s thunder. I think she’s saying that it’s wrong she can’t even go somewhere to support her friend because she more famous and the focus is always on her.

  9. Taylor says:

I agree with everyone above me. I think what LiLo was trying to say was that all the attention she’s brought on herself in the past years is still haunting her. I think she’s trying to say she’s calmed down, she’s work-focused, and matured, but at the same time the papparazzi just don’t care about things like that. I understand she wants to support Samantha at her gigs, but can’t ya take a night off Lindsay and give both of you a break?

  10. cheryl says:

She’s irrelevant, fluff, frivolous. Maybe when she’s older she’ll be interesting but right now, God, she’s so boringly self-absorbed.

  11. Laura says:

Wow….I like Lindsay, but she sounds so inarticulate and stupid……
makes me not like her as much…..she should not blog….

  12. whatever says:

she sounds like a big bag of crazy! geez I think she had a toke of somebodys “cigarette” and felt philosophical all of a sudden….I put this particular blog statement right up there with a drunken late night phone call to an ex.

  13. Danielle says:

ok.. so i just have no idea what the hell it is that she was trying to say..

  14. Amy says:

I didn’t get that from her post at all. I thought she was saying that she was there to support her girlfriend (as a good girlfriend would) and yet she still has to put up with people trying to get at her when they should be focused on what a great DJ Samantha is. I think she was trying to say she didn’t want to be the center of attention all the time.

  15. julie says:

Laura, I so agree! I want to like LL but her illiterate posts make it a little harder. I also agree – and am impressed by her ability to realize – that she actually didn’t like the attention on her.

    has anyone heard sam dj?

  18. J says:

I agree with what Cita said above.

I went to a party Lindsay threw last month (that Samantha DJ’d) and it was absolutely INSANE. I have friends in the business, some of whom are grammy winners, but there are very few people in hollywood that are mobbed as much as Lindsay. By Paparazzi and by people in clubs. True, it’s her choice to be there so she puts herself in that situation…… but man…… if you could have seen the club that night with what seemed like hundreds of people climbing over eachother just to catch a glimpse of even just her left shoulder…. everyone pulling out their cell phones and cameras and flashes going off as she was huddled on the couch in the corner.

IT WAS INSANE….. bordering ridiculous. She was doing whatever she could to stay behind a curtain and share some smiles with Samantha but people were practically screaming her names and sticking cameras in her face. Not exactly sure how she deals with that all day and night….

sure she asks for it sometimes but people forget that she’s 22 years old. when you want paparrazsi there to promote something, it’s all good but when you’re surrounded 24/7, you lose control of the paparrazzi you want and one you don’t want. suddenly, you can no longer choose when and where they’ll show up. i think something she said in the MArie Claire interview was VERY TELLING– “When do you just…. feel?”

  19. J says:

    and to creeper….

I heard Samantha DJ multiple times…. she’s dope. she can really read a crowd and cater the music to the audience…..

people don’t realize that she was big on the LA club scene before her and Lindsay were an item. She’s friends with some of teh dopes DJs in the game and has learned a lot from them- and her brother…. DJ’s like Steve Aoki, DJ AM, A-Trak, etc.
