Should Japan and South Korea really define what it is to be American in this new green world? -We ALL in America are responsible for Detroit's short-sightedness over the past 10 years or so BY IGNORING THE WARNING SIGNS and buying our precious SUV's and trucks in abundance. -Finally, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Detroit's auto workers have been the backbone of the American economic system and the American Dream since the 1920's. If the Big Three go down, what happens to the MILLIONS of workers depending on these companies for their pensions, their health care, and their pensions? America has an employer-based pension system, and to let these hard-working, honorable Americans take the fall for the companies' CEO's mistakes is not only wrong but unpatriotic.
