It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Hallowe’en
In order to procrastinate from my overwhelming laundry duties, I spent part of my afternoon/evening out of the house taking in the lovely SoCal weather. Altho the temps are still very warm in the day (70s-80s still), it cools down considerably after dark. Now, I’m not a fan of cold weather but I don’t mind so much having to bundle up with a thick, comfy hoodie at night … as long as it doesn’t get crazy cold, I’m cool. I also noticed that some of the SoCal foliage is starting to turn Fall colors in some places. I’m used to beautiful colors that Fall brings to Michigan but I’m note sure that many folks know that LA has more than just palm trees. Yesterday was just a nice day overall. Last night, I spent some time watching some DVDs that I have newly procured. I also got around to watching a promo DVD that FOX sent me for the upcoming Treehouse of Horror XIX Halloween Special on The Simpsons. The ep airs on Sunday November 2 (which is so weird cuz I always hated that the Simpsons Halloween Special tends to air after Halloween) and is HILARIOUS! I haven’t been that impressed in the past few years but this year is a goodie. The Simpsons spoof Transformers and, amazingly, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown:
I won’t share too much … you’ll have to tune in at 8pm on Sunday November 2 and see for yourself. For the Charlie Brown spoof alone, it’s worth watching. Trust me ;) There is a funny little political joke at the start of the episode, too. The Simpsons really outdid themselves this year.
No plans for tonight … Tony asked if I wanted to attend the Robyn concert at Spaceland tonight so I might do that … dunno, we’ll see. I’m gonna hafta tackle my dreaded laundry at some point … unfortch. If y’all never hear from me again, it’s prolly cuz I was crushed and killed under the weight of my laundry pile. Ugh.

Seriously..Why DO The Simpsons’ Halloween episodes air after Halloween? I can see if Halloween landed on a Sunday, but come on! Ahh well..I’m looking forward to it like I do every year..Is the political joke the voting booth one that was released a few weeks ago?

LOL!! The laundry bit at the end was funny. I usually don’t watch the simpsons, not cause I don’t like them but I am not even sure when they are on. I will have to watch this. I use to love the simpsons a ways back but I honestly have no idea when they are on:(!!

New eps of The Simpsons air on Sunday nights, reruns air every single day on pretty much every FOX affiliate in the country ;)

my sister is sally, and my cousins lucy, linus and charlie brown of course!
we might even dress up as the peanuts in their halloween costumes! haha.

Let’s face it – FOX has a sense of humor, and I’m sure they had a very good reason to air these episodes AFTER Halloween so people would actually go trick ‘er treating. Think about it: go out & get candy or watch the Simpson’s…?
The Simpson’s tends to make tongue-in-cheek references to FOX as a network no-one takes seriously, and what other network would keep a show the air so long. Grated, I can’t remember ALL the great jokes over the year, except something like…
Lisa: “Is it intelligent viewing?”
Bart: “No, it’s just FOX.”

I love the Treehouse of Horror eps! Looking forward to it, just hope we get it sooner rather then later in Sydney.
