Hugh Hefer Confirms Split With Holly Madison
Marc Malkin of E! News is reporting that Playboy magazine mogul Hugh Hefner is confirming his split from longtime girlfriend Holly Madison. You may recall that Holly Madison broke the news to TMZ earlier this week that she and Hef are “not together”. Malkin spoke directly to Hefner and learned straight for the old grey mare horse’s mouth that the couple are “over”. In his chat with Malkin, Hef also discloses the state of his relationships with his other two girlfriends Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt (essentially, they’re still doing it but not for long, apparently). It’s really over. Hugh Hefner confirms he and Holly Madison are no longer. “If she says it’s over, it’s over,” Hefner tells me. “But like I’ve said before, she is the love of my life, and I expected to spend the rest of my life with her.” The Playboy mogul says the relationship started to crumble about six months ago when they learned he was unable to father a child with Holly. “With my sperm count, it’s not possible,” Hefner explained. “I was willing but it was not possible … She’d like to be married and have children, but it’s not in the cards here for me.” Where does that leave the other two Girls Next Door, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt? Hefner says they’re still romantically involved, but admitted, “the relationship with Kendra will be ending when she moves out, probably by the end of this year.” Hef ain’t wasting anytime getting back in the saddle though. In the last week, he’s been spotted with 19-year-old twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon. “They very much want to be girlfriends and now under the present circumstance, they probably will become my girlfriends,” Hefner says.
Well then, I guess we’ve heard from both of the interested parties so it must really really be over. I gotta say … I’m a bit icked out about Hugh Hefner talking about his dwindling sperm count. You always hear about how men can father children well into old age … but I guess there really does come a time when a man, er, runs out of juice (EW, sorry!). But, onward and upwards, I suppose. Yesterday we got our first look at the set of twins, Karissa and Kristina, that Hef is lookin’ to “probably” make his replacement girlfriends. Malkin adds that Hefner has also been “testing” a girl named Amy Leigh Andrews at the Playboy Mansion this week for the position of one of his girlfriends. As to what “testing” involves, well, I’m sure I REALLY DON’T WANT TO KNOW the specifics of that.

I think the “testing” refers to testing for a pictorial shoot. They say that word a lot on GND when they’re looking for new girls for layouts.

I know that everyone deserves love and the desire to have a child. But hello.. am I the only one who hears “ker-ching ker-ching” in Holly’s head at the thought of a baby?? Having the son or daughter of Hollywood Pornography royalty entitles her to a nice chunk of the cash cow which she currently takes advantage of. I know that they say love is just a number, but when that number is decades older than you are, I’m sorry – I just don’t see anything “true” about it. Seriously – you sure that song “Golddigger” by Kanye wasn’t written about these ladies? Gives women a truly bad name.

I don’t know – maybe I have a different opinion but when I watch The Girls Next Door, sometimes it seems like Holly is the one that’s more into the relationship than Hef is. Granted, that can prove some of your points in saying that she’s just a golddigger but I don’t know if I agree. I totally believe that everyone is allowed to have their own opinion, though. I mean, if she is just with him for his money then that’s awful but I can’t necessarily jump to that conclusion. I’m surprised it’s over though! The circumstances are pretty tough.

First of all, Hef is still married to Kimberly Conrad. Second, all the girls were on contract, and their contracts are up at the end of the year, which is a reason why E! is pushing out 20 episodes (in order to air them before the contracts expire.) Third, Bridget is married, and is already pursuring her own career, as is Kendra. The only person who may not have something lined up is Holly, but considering the publicity she’s received, she could easily win a palimony suit from Hef, so I’m sure there has been some kind of financial settlement.

Danielle, I agree that Holly always seemed more into it than Hef, but I think Hef is basically senile at this point, and Holly was just playing up that “Awwww PUFFIN!!!!” crap because she wanted to get in his will. Loved the show, and will miss those girls, nonetheless.

They never did Jack. It’s all PR fluff for the show. I believe HM did want him (for his seed) but True Love??? Right?! It was more for how far it would take HER being Mrs. Hef. The other two were like daughters (granddaughters). It was more a big fun fluff sleepover than anything else. How long did ppl think it was going to last?
