First Look: Mariah Carey, ‘I Stay In Love’

Last week we got to see a few preview screencaps from Mariah Carey‘s newest music video I Stay In Love which, you may recall, was filmed on location at The Bank nightclub in Las Vegas, NV at the start of this month. The finished music video made it’s world premiere on BET yesterday and has also made its way to the Internets … here are a few screencaps:

I have since discovered that the hottie co-staring in this video as Mimi‘s love interest is a model named Andrew Karelis who works for Bleu Models. I also learned that Mimi‘s childgroom Nick Cannon is the video’s director. You may also note a special cameo at the start of the video:
LOL! Mimi had to make sure that her celebrity fragrance M by Mariah Carey received prominent product placement. HMMM. The song isn’t a club-banger but it’s nice, nonetheless. The vid is OK … nothing special but nothing near as disappointing as Xtina‘s latest offering. The storyline may be schmaltzy but it’s a pretty decent video overall. Blow up that car, gurl! I can dig it … can you?

I have a bone to pick with this video.
I am a HUGE fan of Mariah. When I say huge, I mean that she is right up there with Britney Spears for me…my Queens! I saw Mariah and supported her through Glitter and Charmbracelet when everyone else hated on her.
This video is garbage. The song is so beautiful and Nick Cannon went and screwed it up. He should not work with her, he is not talented and he needs to go away. The most boring video ever. She looks gorgeous but what the heck? I’ve seen this video, it’s called “Breakdown” and it was a million times better than this garbage. I am very disappointed in MC right now.
umm Mariah went a little Nomi Malone for me on this one, without pushing Crystal down the stairs.
