Earlier today we got to see new music videos from Xtina Aguilera (boo!) and Mariah Carey (yay!) and now we add Hilary Duff to the list. Hil D. is, unbelievably, releasing a Greatest Hits compilation titled The Best of Hilary Duff and has released the new song Reach Out (which samples Depeche Mode‘s Personal Jesus) to promote it. I still, for the life of me, cannot understand why Hilary is releasing a new compilation of old songs when she already released a compilation of old songs titled Most Wanted just two albums ago … but I digress. HMMM. I don’t particularly care for the song very much. Granted, I’m not a big fan of Personal Jesus either (but DM fans take heart, I love pretty much everything else they’ve released … Violator is one of my fave albums ever and I love every song on it … well, except for the one song in question ;) The vid, I’m afraid, isn’t much better. Are any of y’all feelin’ it?

The song isn’t the greatest, but it’s pretty catchy. I really enjoy the sets and camera angles, it’s original and fresh.
And come on people, if somebody like Rihanna did the exact same thing, nobody would be complaining at all. It’s just because Hilary used to have such a nice girl image that anybody is questioning it.
The song is ordinary and remake of the Depeche Mode song Personal Jesus. But I like the video and Hilary is sexy as always.

I just think that if your gonna come out into hollywood with a good girl image, stick to it. If you come out to hollywood w/ a bad girl image, stick to it. Dont go back and forth. Its confusing. you have Miley doing a disney show when naked photos of her are leaking everywhere. And now you have Hilary who makes sure she’s photographed doing charity events and then sucks on sum nasty dudes finger and humps a statue. I don’t get it?

On a positive note I do like Hilary’s hair in the video…. I do think that she is trying too hard to be sexy because these types of videos really dont suit her…She also looks like she’s trying to copy some scenes from DM and Jameila … just my thoughts not that anyone really cares haha

I love Hilary – loved her since her Lizzie days. She’s at that awkward stage between ages – not a girl, not yet a woman. I wish she’d keep it real and not try too hard to be sexy like the others. She’s got her own style and she should stick to it. Her singing is fine but the video is bad.
ADVANN- anyone who has ears knows the words are “reach OUT and touch faith” not “reach UP”. Sampling happens all the time and clearly DM have their permission or she wouldn’t have it. Get over it.

that was very disturbing what hilary duff did im a huge-fan of her but i thought she was a good girl but since she is all grown up i guess she wants a little fun but its wrong for her being naughty its not hilary duffs thing. i guess its because that she broke up with joel madden.
