The MTV reality series Making The Band 4, which follows the adventures of the Bad Boy acts Danity Kane, Day 26 and Donny Klang, aired a live season finale episode last night which was a continuation of last week’s shocking episode. At the end of last week’s ep, P. Diddy threatened to kick some folks out of the pop group Danity Kane. In last night’s conclusion ep, we all learned what came of Diddy‘s threats:

In order to keep the drama unspoiled for those of you who have yet to see the ep I’ll keep the SHOCKING developments behind the cut. After the jump, find out who if anyone was kicked out of Danity Kane — and why …
So … the future of the fairly successful Danity Kane is now in doubt since it was revealed last night on live TV that Aubrey O’Day and D. Woods have been ejected from the group:

On Tuesday night’s live season-three finale of “Making the Band 4,” Diddy confirmed the rumors that Aubrey O’Day is no longer in Danity Kane. He also kicked out D. Woods, leaving only Aundrea Fimbres, Dawn Richard and Shannon Bex in the group he so carefully put together before our eyes four years ago. “I would rather be hated every damn day of my life for being real than loved for being something I’m not,” O’Day defiantly told Sway on the special that aired Tuesday night. Diddy, who spoke to the girls and the audience via satellite, had some advice for tabloid target Aubrey. “Check this out, baby girl,” Diddy said. “See, your attitude is gonna have you in a dark and lonely place. … What you need to do, at the end of the day, is humble yourself. I got love for Aubrey. I don’t have any beef with her,” he added. “I just want to work with the young lady that I signed, not the person that fame has made her.” “I don’t think any of us has been happy for a long time,” admitted D.Woods, who Diddy said had gotten “caught up in the wrath” of Aubrey. MTV News reached out to a rep for Danity Kane to see where the future of the band stands now that Aubrey and D. Woods are no longer in the group. It’s being reported that D.Woods has plans to work with another group, the Girls Club. O’Day, who recently made her Broadway debut in “Hairspray,” has not announced what she will be doing next. “Tonight is a representation of the end of a chapter in my life; it’s not the end of the book,” O’Day said in a backstage interview before the finale. “I will do everything possible to make my mark on this industry, and Danity Kane and Puff provided me with this amazing opportunity to go out and really touch people’s hearts. I think the way that we were able to inspire people was something that I will never be able to achieve in that way again in my life.” On Tuesday, it was also confirmed that there will be another season of “Making the Band.”
Dawn, one of the remaining members of Danity Kane, spoke with US Weekly and revealed why she thinks that Diddy decided to give Aubrey and D. Woods the boot:
“Puff did not like [O'Day's] image…where her image was going for the group,” Dawn Richard – one of the three remaining bandmates – tells Usmagazine.com exclusively. “It wasn’t a personal thing,” Richard continues, saying her sexy look (the singer posed topless in Complex last month) was alienating young fans. “We had just did a signing with Dollhouse Teen, which is for 13, 14-year-old young girls,” Richard says. “So we can’t do that one day and then the next day do an obnoxious cover…. [Diddy] wants the fans, and he says he can’t do that if we can continue to go in the direction that we were going.” … As for D. Woods getting tossed? Diddy said she got “caught up in the wrath” of O’Day. But not to worry, Danity Kane fans: the group will go on. “Well Puff told me specifically that Aubrey is no longer in Danity Kane and Danity Kane will move forward without her,” Richard says. And to find the girls’ replacements? “He has not said anything per that,” Richard says. “But I think in my heart that he is gonna do another show.”
Despite all assurances from everyone involved with last night’s episode of Making the Band 4 — from Diddy who did the kicking out to Aubrey who was kicked out — I am having a tough time totally believing the realness of this development. DK managed to release 2 #1 albums in succession and they scored a major hit with their song Damaged this year alone. Watching the way that this season of MTB4 played out, the ejection of both Aubrey and D. Woods seemed very odd to me. Diddy sends the ladies on a celebratory vacay in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico after they completed a successful tour and then he calls them into a meeting and kicks out two of the members. It just doesn’t make sense. The DK members promised with tear-filled eyes that all of this is “real” … I’m not 100% convinced — especially when it was announced that there will be another season of Making The Band. Will there be a reconciliation? Will there be auditions for replacements? In either event, Diddy and MTV are counting on the fact that fans of the show will be watching. That being said, I can see the point that Aubrey has been taking her image into racier territory than the rest of the group. From the start, I always felt that Aubrey has set herself apart from the rest of DK and, to be honest, I always thought she’d be the one to leave of her on volition. The bottom line here is that DK has been changed forever. Is it a huge mistake on Diddy‘s part to make such sweeping changes or will the group find new life in a new incarnation? Will Aubrey and D. Woods be able to find success elsewhere? Does anyone really care either way about any of this?

Ahaha at Natalie’s comment.
Anyways. I was upset to hear that Aubrey and Aundrea aren’t friends anymore. They were friends from the beginning and it’s just sad to see things like that happen. I have no idea how Danity Kane is going to be 3 people now. Aubrey basically ‘made’ the group with her ‘sex appeal’. I hope Shannon gets more attention because I feel like she is always left out.
In my opinion, I like P.Diddy is full of BS and I hate that he kicked people out of the group.
I like shannon the best. it’s sad that so many of the others don’t get any attention… it’s true that you have to be slutty or something like that to get any attention. lame.
aubrey is so trashy. shes only popular because being trashy gets people’s attention. i dont think the quality fans of the group will miss her as long as the group keeps making catchy songs, and they weren’t catchy because of aubrey. i bet the next season will be another competition to replace them.
He shouldn’t have gotten rid of D.Woods, but I understand why he FINALLY got rid of Aubrey. But yea, WTF, I thought Aubrey and Aundrea were BEST friends in the beginning…what happened?
If anyone has an oversized ego it’s Dawn. That bitch needs to go. She’s almost as annoying as Diddy. Both those bitches should jump off a cliff.

This seriously sucks. I can’t believe it. I didn’t watch it, because I always forget this season, but still…
I wonder if there is any chance of reconciliation.
I know Aubrey has always stood out, but I can’t imagine her being a huge success on her own, and the same goes for D. Woods, though I love them both.
This is the ONLY thing successful from Diddy’s entire Making Da Band franchise, and he is the one that broke it up. What a ding-a-ling.
RIP Danity Kane. :( (If this is for real…)
Haha your tags kinda gave away who got kicked off……..
who cares? no one? oh, ok…
Seriously?!? Do yall really think Aubrey will flourish outside of DK? I think it will do the opposite. She doesn’t have people who can actually sing leading the chorus and vocals. I am glad Diddy kicked her out she was raunchy and seriously just looks like trash. I think the group can do fine without her. I hope this is real.
Aubrey seriously needs some psychiatric help – and quickly. She’s just a mess and she’s in some mental trouble.
Accoring to Aubrey’s MySpace page DK is still together – I read into that she is still part of group I guess only time will tell =)
thank god, Aubrey is obnoxious and at least the girls left are the ones (in my opinion) can sing the best. We’ll see what happens, but I think it’s for the best. :)
whoa, what’s with the “slut this, trashy that” bs? posing topless and wearing revealing clothing does not make you a “slut”. let’s all stop bashing each other, ladies. i’m pretty sure none of the commenters here are privy to her sex life!
also, to karly – stdish? really? go back to the 1950s.
tbh i think aubrey is kind of obnoxious , but more people know of her than of danity kane. what does that tell you? : /
oh please everyone acts like she posed for playboy.. seriously its complex magazine its a mens magazine people! look on maxim and FHM you are gonna see girls posing provocatively. Its pictures not a porn tape. I think aubrey represented herself very well she taught people to stand up for themselves and shes a strong women, Look at the remaining girls if Diddy disrespects them you wont hear a peep out of them. Although it is a business relationship you should always stand up for yourself and be able to address issues in a mature manner with your boss. and Diddy just isn’t that great of a boss. His bands all periodically seize to show promise now he has DK and can’t even handle them. I personally think Dawn is a hateful person for already showing no sympathy over the lost of two sisters who worked so hare for the past 6 years together on the project. I mean if anyone was entitled to Danity Kane it was Aubrey she was there from the start, season 1. And she fought tooth and nail for that position. Diddy just didn’t like how she no longer saw him as that wonderful idol that she used when she was 19. I mean everyone changes from 19 to 25. You cant expect anyone to remain the same. If you looked at pictures of all the girls from the beginning their all differant. Aubrey was smart enough to start something outside of Danity Kane so she’d have a back up to fall on. Overall there really isn’t a danity kane without Aubrey. Look at the live finale yesterday the interview with the remaining members was painful to watch. Their personality is lacking during the interview with sway, until Aubrey came out and swept the floors and room with her speech. No matter what Aubreys going to be successful. I’m not supporting a “vision” that is aubrey-less. or a band that can just ditch their sisters like this. They are all entitled to be in the band but Dawn must be happy, I mean she did post in her site a while back that dwoods and Aubs were out of DK when they weren’t. Congrats you have your wish! Its seems shes already starting to portray them in a bad light. Thats quick.
meh… don’t care. who are these ppl again?
She MADE that group…
“Does anyone even care either way?”
NOPE!
i think that it was a bad business move on puff’s part…..i agree aubrey was taking her image to a racier level and that needed to be put in check, but without her i dont think the group is complete..and it is so obvious that the remaing 3 are in the own clique, but puff only sees aubrey as a problem..destinys child only worked as 3 cas the most recognizable person was still there (beyonce)….the only person with a chance out of the 3 is dawn….
This group has one hit single per album…
