I agree w/ Joanne. Plus, I’ve had friends who were self-destructing, although obviously not as publicly as Britney Spears. As a friend you have two choices: emphatically denounce your friend’s destructive behavior and risk being cut out of their life when they most need a friend OR risk being viewed as an enabler while remaining close to them and trying to gently sway them from their destructive lifestyle. It’s just a lose-lose situation until the person wants help. I don’t think Britney’s situation would have turned around if her father hadn’t had the ability to become her conservator, something Ali Sims simply would not have been able to do.

Alli Sims is a liar and a fake! She is not even Britney’s cousin! She only used Britney to advance her “career.” Now that Britney is around, no one cares about her, and it is eating her alive! Good for Britney’s parents for keeping her and all those other weirdos away. They were part of the problem.

I never understood how Alli was a parasite. Like I got that she got a music deal out of her friendship with Britney, but that seems too simple. Can anyone recap things for me?

Wasn’t Alli hanging around with Sam even after the parents stepped in? (Paris Hilton’s party) That doesn’t appear that she was too concerned about Lutfi being a problem.

Um – If I remember correctly – Alli Sims spoke out against either Adnan or Sam (can’t remember which creep) with her concerns. Sounds like she said Brit’s father thinks “it’s best for Britney not to communicate with alot of people” (which is fair enough) – not “I’ve been banned from seeing Britney”. Are we going to make Cousin Alli the villain now? … Everyone around Britney was aware of the dangerous situation she was in. Her own mother was around Britney when she was with Adnan and Sam and saw what was happening. The parent’s took far too long to act – what on earth could Alli Sims have done?
