At my university, the anatomy professor told us that back in the day models and actresses would have the fat sucked out of their cheeks, so that they got that nice contour. Apparently there is a little fat pad that can be accessed from inside the mouth and they would have is surgically removed. Not that Miss Blanchett had that done as some people are naturally blessed with no much fat there. Just thought it was interesting....
