Britney Spears is hard at work on her next music video and has, indeed, already begun filming said video. At this point we do not know what song the video is for … well, actually we do not know the names of any of the songs on her new album Circus … but by the look of the costumes her dancers were wearing on set, the circus theme looks like it’ll be in full effect. By the way — I almost didn’t recognize our friend Tucker! He just cut his hair and he says he bleached it blonde for an upcoming project.

Granted, these costumes don’t look really that sexy in the harsh light of day but I’m sure they will look amazing on video. I am DYING to know what the rest of Britney’s album will sound like … we need a tracklisting or something. No word on when this video will be released or when we’ll hear the song itself. At least Britney is keeping us in the loop as she continues working on her comeback. All of these official updates are just awesome. Keep ‘em comin’, Brit!

Here are a couple fun new pics of Robert Downey, Jr. on the London set of his new Sherlock Holmes movie which, we all know, is being directed by Guy Ritchie. These pics show RDJ hooked up to a few safety cables as he leaps from a window while filming a scene for his movie:

I mean … yeah … he’s jumping from a window. The end. Actually, I think the pics are kinda fun … if this scene actually gets in the movie we can all remember the day it was filmed. It’s strange, I’ve never been a huge Sherlock Holmes fan (I was more of the Hardy Boys ilk) but I am very fascinated by this new movie. I can’t wait to see what RDJ, Jude Law and Guy Ritchie have in store for us. I mean, by Jude’stache standards alone, this film is a must see for me.

Haylie Duff, elder sister of the more famouser Hilary Duff, has decided to shack up with her boyfriend of the past year or so Nick Zano. Haylie and Nick got back together after he left her for Kristin Cavallari only to get back with her late last/early this year. In any event, things appear to be going well for HayNo as they have decided to take the next step and “live in sin” together, as they say:

Shoot … Nick Zano is a major hottie, I don’t blame Haylie for wanting to shack up with him. It looks like these two were really meant to be together since Nick ended up coming back to Haylie after being involved with Kristin Cavallari (who foolishly got a Z tattooed on her wrist when they were going out). I suppose congrats are in order for HayNo … may they live together happily ever after. But if not, may the paps be on hand to photograph the move-out day ;)

Following in the very successful footsteps of her hottie hubby, Vicki B. has reportedly signed a deal to appear in the new ad campaign for Emporio Armani Women’s Underwear early next year. As all y’all are well aware, David Beckham appeared in the last two Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear campaigns … to much fanfare. Now, Armani wants to team up with VB to try and emulate that success in the women’s underwear market. Les Beckhams appeared in a steamy photospread in W magazine (shot by Steven Klein) last year which is prolly where Armani got the idea to feature Becks in their undies … let’s take a look back at a couple pics from that spread that might give us a hint at what VB‘s new campaign might look like:

Brilliant idea! I mean … I’m not all that geeked to see more pics of VB in her undies but I think it’s a brilliant idea for Armani to use her in their new campaign. I hope that Becks will also be resigning to appear in ads next year as well … I think it’s safe to say that pretty much everyone on planet Earth is hoping there will be more photos of Becks stuffed into his undies to come. Yesterday we got our first look at Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale‘s newborn baby son Zuma Nesta Rock when a pic of the lad’s appearance at Kate Hudson‘s Halloween party from last weekend made its way to the Internets. Today, we get a few more pics of little Zuma — but this time, we can see his cute little face! It looks like Gwen and Gavin are no longer interested in hiding him away from public view (prolly in light of the fact that the first pic has already been released) as they proudly showed him off at a trip to the Beverly Hills Library yesterday:

OMG … he really is a cutie. Yesterday’s pic was nice but these new pics of Zuma are amazing. He really looks like a real live cupie doll! And can I just say how happy I am that Gwen and Gavin have decided to finally let the poor kid see the light of day and come out in public. He’s a doll … he shouldn’t be hidden away. Ain’t he just the cutest little thing?

Yesterday was a semi-productive day for me. I managed to make a huge dent in my laundry pile in order to clear up some space for my imminent house guests. David arrives tonight and his sister Eden arrives in SoCal tomorrow night. While E will be visiting with one of her friends who also lives here, she will be crashing on my couch for a couple of nights as well. The place is still a bit of a wreck but since she’s basically family, I think it’s good enough ;) She is well versed in David’s tidiness when she visits his place in NYC so I think I can do better. That was pretty much my day … I laundered and then kinda passed out early. I’ve been watching the 24-hour news channels non-stop for the past week or so and I’m just gettin’ amped up for next week’s election. I’m likin’ the way things look … we just have to hold on and get out the vote.

No plans for tonight other than picking up David from the airport. I suspect we’ll we watching the Barack Obama Variety Half-Hour tonight tho ;) I do have to pick up a few groceries this afternoon … I’ve learned that house guests like to have food to eat when they stay over. Funny, I only keep bottled water and Polaroid film in my fridge.

Bloggers have been asked to participate in Write To Marry Day today in order to highlight the campaign to OPPOSE the very discriminatory Proposition 8 ballot initiative that Californians will vote on next Tuesday. I have decided to take this opportunity to write up a post why I believe that Proposition 8 is harmful, not only to California but, to our country as a whole. As a person who would be directly affected by this hateful proposition, I feel incumbent to lend my support to the defeat of Proposition 8 in the State of California:

For me, the matter is a very simple one. It is absolutely wrong to legislate discrimination in this country. If Proposition 8 passes, the Constitution of the California will be amended to specifically deny the right to marry to same-sex couples. Not so long ago, it was the rule of law in this country to separate African Americans from Caucasians in schools, restaurants, buses, water fountains and more. It was legislated that “separate but equal” was fair and that segregation was just. The end of segregation in this country came from the Supreme Court. The highest court in the land ruled that denying the rights of minorities in any legislation was illegal under the terms of our US Constitution. Remember, it was legislatures in some States that drafted and passed laws that discriminated against African Americans. It was the executive branches of those states that enforced those laws. It was only when the high court stepped in to invalidate those laws and INSIST that all citizens of the United States be treated equally that our country was able to move forward towards ending segregation and discrimination against minorities. This Proposition 8 matter is the very much the same thing. We have learned that legislating unequal treatment is wrong. Even if you don’t believe in same-sex marriage, no matter who you are and for whatever reason, you have to agree that discrimination is wrong … it is un-American and it opposes everything that our country stands for. We live in a nation where we promise liberty and justice for all. Does it sound right that some citizens should not be allowed to marry just because other citizens think they should not be allowed to? No, it doesn’t — and that is why laws in some States that outlawed interracial marriage were struck down as illegal. It is the duty of our country to defend the rights of the minority in order to achieve equality for all. Allowing same-sex marriage rights WILL NOT AFFECT the marriage rights of anyone else … and for that reason alone it seems foolish to try and deny those rights to anyone. This would be the first time a Constitution would be amended to take away rights from a group of people. Even Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is voting against Prop 8. It’s just plainly wrong.

It really boils down to a simple matter of fairness. There were many, many people who vehemently opposed granting equal rights to women in this country. Our nation wouldn’t allow women to be discriminated against. There were many, many people who vehemently opposed granting equal rights to African Americans and other racial minorities in this country. Again, our nation wouldn’t allow those injustices to occur. Even tho there are many people out there who oppose granting EQUAL RIGHTS to same-sex couples, I honestly believe that our nation will not allow such discrimination to occur. The United States of America was founded on the fundamental belief that All Men are Created Equal. It’s as simple as that. I am Voting No on Proposition 8 because I want to see my country take the next step in fully realizing the principles it was founded on. Prop 8 is unfair and wrong. I believe that marriage equality should be enjoyed by all.

I know there are many people who would love to support the campaign to DEFEAT Prop 8 but they live outside of California. I would urge those folks to click HERE to donate whatever you can to help us Californians defeat this discriminatory proposition. I have donated a couple of times and I know the No on Prop 8 campaign can use all the money they can muster. It’s a tough time economically, but if you can donate anything I know it’ll help defeat legalized discrimination and uphold marriage equality for all.

Hanson brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac — who make up the band Hanson — were spotted hanging with fans before a recent concert stop at the State Theatre in Falls Church, VA … curiously tho, the guys were walking around barefoot. When asked if he could sing a bit of their mega hit song MMMBop, Taylor Hanson replied by flipping his middle finger:

When did the little kids from Tulsa, OK get so crabby? The barefootedness I can understand (tho not really support — put your shoes on, guys) but I don’t get the pissy finger flip. In any event, it’s nice to see that my boys from Oklahoma are still on the concert trail playing for their fans. And for the record, I really did love their song MMMbop :)

OMG … are you ready for some absolute adorableness? Here are a couple pics of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale‘s eldest son Kingston James McGregor enjoying an afternoon playdate with Tobey Maguire‘s daughter Ruby Sweetheart here in SoCal yesterday afternoon. The couple went on a little wagon ride together … I think Kingston picked her up in his wheels and it looks like Ruby was trying to get Kingston to drink, perhaps to loosen up?

Hahahaha! They do make an adorable couple, don’tchathink? While Zuma Nesta Rock may have been the star yesterday (we finally got our first look at the little baby), it looks like today belongs to Kingston. I’m always fascinated by celeb kids who become friends at such a young age. Clearly the Stefani-Rossdales and the Maguires run in the same circles so it makes sense that their kids would get to know one another. It’s just really cute to see them hanging out together. I hope we get to see more of Kingston and Ruby in the future … they make a really supercute couple.
