A very sad update to the tragedy that has hit Jennifer Hudson‘s family … the body of her 7-year old nephew, Julian King, who has been missing since last Friday (when the bodies of Hudson‘s mother and brother were found fatally shot in their Chicago, IL home) has been identified. This makes him the third person in Hudson‘s family to have been killed in this horrible incident:

The body found inside an SUV Monday morning has been confirmed to be Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew, a top FBI official said. The medical examiner positively identified the body found in the Chevrolet Suburban as Julian King, Monday afternoon. Earlier Monday Deputy Chief Cmdr. Wayne Gulliford said police had responding to “a call about a suspicious auto” in the west side of Chicago at approximately 7 a.m. when they found the body inside a parked white Chevy Suburban, which had a license plate matching the description in the child’s Amber Alert. He had no details on the body, pending the medical examiner’s report. Julian has been missing since Hudson’s mother and brother were found dead in their home Friday.

What else can be said? My deepest heartfelt condolences and prayers of support go out to the entire Hudson family. This is a devastating tragedy without explanation. So incredibly sad.

They’re at it again, y’all. Just when you might’ve thought that things have cooled down in the somewhat controversial and very extra-marital romantic relationship between the still-married Balthazar Getty and Sienna Miller the couple pop up in NYC this weekend, hand-in-hand … mouth to mouth:

The last time that we got to see Sienazar together in public here on the blog was back in August but I understand that the couple have sneaked off together at least a couple of times in the interim. This new sighting is the first of the pair making a show of their lurve in public again. They seem as brazen about their extra-marital affair as they ever have before so they must be really happy with the way things are going. I’m not sure I can say the same about Mrs. Balthazar Getty who, I believe, is back home in SoCal taking care of the children while this canoodling is going on in NYC but … as long as Sienazar are happy. What do y’all think? Is it time that we just embrace them as a happy couple or are they couple non grata until Getty legally becomes a free man?

Harry Potter and Equus star Daniel Radcliffe was snapped doing a bit of jogging on the streets of NYC earlier today with small water jug and iPod in hand … behold:

At first, I thought that Dan might’ve been running from a swarm of fans but I now believe that he was merely jogging in order to stay in shape. Anyone familiar with his Broadway role in Equus knows that the DanRad is butt nekkid for about 7 minutes at the end of the plan on a nightly basis (twice on the weekends) so homie’s gotta keep his bod in shape. Earlier today we learned that Zac Efron (the US version of Daniel Radcliffe???) has been real bizzy keepin’ his body in shape … so I think Dan‘s just interested in doing the same. I can’t blame the lad in the least. When appearing nekkid on stage in front of a full house of audience goers on a daily basis, it behooves one to take advantage of every opportunity to look good that one has. Run, Dan, run!

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere made her way to our nation’s capital this weekend to participate in a Save the Whales Again rally orchestrated by The Whaleman Foundation and The Animal Welfare Institute. Hayden led a group of t-shirted rally participants in an aerial art event that had rally-goers form the shape of a huge pilot whale with the word VOTE underneath. Here are a few pics from this weekend’s rally and some info from the event’s press release:

Actress Hayden Panettiere, currently starring on the hit NBC series “Heroes,” [led] hundreds of participants in an aerial art event and rally to form a giant human pilot whale beside the message “VOTE,” in front of the U.S. Capitol building this Sunday, October 26 at 12:30pm. The pilot whale — of which Hayden will be the eye — symbolizes the tens of thousands of whales and dolphins killed each year by Japanese fishermen. The event commemorates the one-year anniversary of Hayden’s actions in Taiji, Japan, where she paddled out with protestors on surfboards to protect a pod of pilot whales who had been captured by fishermen for slaughter and for sale to aquariums. Hayden is passionate about protecting whales and dolphins. As a spokesperson for the Save the Whales Again! campaign, she has made repeated calls for the Bush administration to defend whales at the International Whaling Commission (IWC) and take action against the whaling countries of Japan, Norway, and Iceland for their persistence in killing whales for commercial gain. “I turned 18 last year and I’m going to make my first vote count,” says Hayden. “I am looking forward to my visit to Washington to talk to those who will be voting in the upcoming election, to stress the importance of knowing where the candidates stand on the issues that are most important to them, and to be sure that come November 4th, they will actually go out and vote to ensure that their voices are heard.” The U.S. has historically been a world leader in protecting whales, but during the Bush administration, U.S. leadership on whale issues has significantly declined. The Whaleman Foundation is a public non-profit oceanic research, conservation and production organization dedicated to preserving and protecting dolphins, whales and their habitats. The Washington D.C.-based Animal Welfare Institute began the Save the Whales campaign of the 1970s and 1980s and was founded in 1951 to reduce the sum total of pain and fear inflicted on animals by humans. Save the Whales Again! does not endorse a particular 2008 presidential candidate.

You gotta love that Hayden, who has just turned old enough to vote, is so passionately interested in working for the causes that she really believes in. This is not the first time that Hayden has put herself on the line for the whales. She faced arrest in Japan late last year after participating in a protest to try and stop whale hunting there. And, let’s not forget, that she was also part of the Declare Yourself campaign to urge young people to get registered and vote in the upcoming election. Perhaps the lass has a political career in her future once she’s done being a Hollywood “It” Girl? Hey, if Ronald Reagan can go from actor to President, why can’t Hayden?

David Beckham is featured on the cover of the 20th anniversary issue of British GQ magazine this month and reveals to the mag, in his coverstory interview, that he has no plans to have a movie career in Hollywood … despite his handsome good looks ;) He also talks Scientology and his lurve for SoCal. Although he lives in Beverly Hills and watches movies at home with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the soccer-star-turned-model swears he has no plans to join them on the big screen. Asked if he hopes to develop a film career, the fashion fan recently issued an emphatic denial. “What film career? I haven’t got one,” Beckham told the December issue of British GQ. “Never say never, except about that! And that’s the way it’s going to stay.” Still, that doesn’t stop 33-year-old from mingling with famous friends like Cruise. “He came round for dinner a few weeks ago,” said Beckham. “But it’s the same with him. We just go round and watch a film. It’s not a big deal, it’s just popping round to watch a film or to mess around and play with the kids.” The Brit also dismissed claims that Cruise has tried to convert him or his wife Victoria. “I respect any person’s religion. Everybody’s got their own ideas,” said Beckham. “And, of course, Tom is a big believer in Scientology, but he’s never pushed anything on to us about it and he never will do. Friends don’t do that.” His L.A. Galaxy soccer team has failed to make the playoffs and will not take the field again until next March. During the lay-off, Beckham will reportedly play for Italy’s AC Milan. But, he insists, America is still his home. “We’re happy here at the moment, that’s the biggest thing,” he explained. “When your family are happy, that’s all you can ask for.”

Blah. I love me some Becks but these tidbits offer nothing new. I’m much more interested in the lovely coverphoto. Hopefully the rest of the mag’s photospread will make its way online. Also, I wouldn’t mind hearing how he became “the iconic man of our time” as the magazine cover proclaims. I’m not sure when the mag hits newsstands but hopefully we’ll get more Becks soon.

If this is the plan to get fans back on board with her again, i think it’s brills! As for those of us who never left her, well, I think we’re enjoying this new level of interaction even more :)

Last night I met up with Jordan, Darion and D’s friend Peter for a fun dinner at Velvet Margarita before we made our way to the ArcLight in Hollywood, CA to see SAW V. We got to the theater a wee bit early and while perusing the items in the ArcLight gift shop, I came upon a bunch of really fun little cheapie Halloween masks … which we all wore in the movie theater. Oooh scary:

As for the movie … well, I’ve seen scarier. Actually, I’ve seen scarier SAW movies … but this one was kinda OK. I think they’ve really run the gamut tho and the franchise needs to end. SAW VI would be a bad idea, I think. The same slash and burn mentality is employed in this flick and even tho certain people may have died in previous installments of the SAW movie franchise, they are featured very heavily in this latest film by way of flashback scenes. The plot is nonexistent … in fact, the victims are totally incidental this time around. Usually, you sympathize with the victims who fight for their lives … in this flick, they’re just shoved into the storyline and are picked off one at a time without much feeling at all. As I said, I thought the movie was a’ight but mebbe it was because the batch of victims this time around featured Julie Benz (ex-Buffy and Angel, current Dexter), Megan Good (who is just hot) and the guy who plays Chloe O’Brien‘s husband on 24. As much as I hope they stay away from SAW VI, I think it’s coming … a key character was given a box, the contents of which were not made known to the audience. It reeks of a new movie set-up. I think I’ll take a pass. I didn’t loathe this film (it was way better than Max Payne) but I think I’m done with the SAW movies.

The just-turned 21 year old Zac Efron and his co-star/girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens took a respite from promoting their new movie High School Musical 3: Senior Year (which just opened in theaters this past weekend) and made their way to Hawaii this weekend to attend the nuptials of a friend. The couple also took some time to relax at the beach … it should also be noted that Zac opted to leave his shirt at the hotel:

I, uh … yeah … so Zac Efron recently turned 21 years old and stuff and … uh, I guess it’s not a bad thing to, um, admire the guy’s physical fitness. Yessir … it looks like someone has been very diligent about adhering to his work-out schedule … yep. It should also be noted that Zac is the latest member of Team Calvin Klein Underwear, who has really been on a roll lately. Um, yeah … I am running out of things to say here other than enjoy the pictures. Oh, and Vanessa Hudgens is a lucky beyotch.
