Guy Ritchie may be going thru a rough patch right now since it was announced that he and soon-to-be ex-wife Madonna have decided to divorce after 7 1/2 years of marriage … but you wouldn’t know it to look at him out on the town last night. Guy stepped out for a guys night of fun with his friends Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law (who star as Sherlock Holmes and Watson respectively in Ritchie‘s new Sherlock Holmes movie) and the men looked like they were itchin’ to have some fun and mebbe get into a little trubs together:

Newly single Guy Ritchie was all smiles last night as he enjoyed his first night out since his split from Madonna. Director Ritchie, 40, was joined by actors Jude law and Robert Downey Jr for a trip to a private viewing of artist friend Sam Taylor Wood’s new exhibition at the White Cube gallery in London. The three had spent the day filming on location in London for Ritchie’s latest movie Sherlock Holmes, in which Law and Downey star. After a meeting at Ritchie’s London offices they then headed straight out to the gallery … And while his divorce has sparked a media frenzy Ritchie appeared to simply want to relax last night, refusing to comment on rumours surrounding the split.

HA! I love it! They look like a band of miscreant troublemakers. I have no doubt that once Guy is totally split with Madge (ie. once the paperwork is signed, sealed and delivered) he is going to get right back on the horse and dive back into the single life. If he keeps hanging around with these guys, I think Mr. Ritchie will have no problems finding new trouble to get into. By utilizing the power of RDJ‘s charms and the sexy prowess of the Jude’stache, this band of brothers could do some serious damage. I’m glad to see that Guy is able to depend on his bros in his time of need. I look forward to hopefully following their coming misadventures. I mean … seriously … can you imagine how much hawt trouble these three could get into? I mean the drunken nights alone together … Woot! ;)

Hold on to your huge grains of salt, y’all … the British tabloid newspaper The Sun is reporting that ’80′s mope-rockers and original emo boys The Smiths are “closer than ever” to reuniting once again. According to inside “sources”, rumor has it that the former bandmembers are seriously considering a one-off headlining reunion performance at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, CA next year:

IT’S the reunion no one thought was possible. But iconic Mancs THE SMITHS are “closer than ever” to setting aside their poisonous differences for a comeback. Sources close to the band believe they could headline California festival Coachella in a one-off show next April for a huge pay day. Singer MORRISSEY turned down a £2.8million bid from the event organisers in 2006 but they will have massively upped the offer. Any deal would mark a remarkable turnaround. Veg-loving frontman Morrissey has repeatedly vowed to never again share a stage with his former bandmates, guitarist JOHNNY MARR, bassist ANDY ROURKE and drummer MIKE JOYCE. A source revealed, however: “It has looked impossible in the past but suddenly it all looks like it could happen. “The buzz around the people who used to work for the band is they could play Coachella for a ludicrous amount of money. It’s closer than it ever has been. The split was a messy affair, but time’s a healer.”

Time may be a healer but I suspect that cold hard cash goes a long way in healing bitter band rifts as well. This rumor is just too good to be true. I have prayed for a reunion of The Smiths for years since I was too young to ever be able to see them perform live in their hey day. Trust me, I want to believe that this reunion might actually come to fruition but I’m reserving judgment BIG TIME until some sort of confirmation comes our way. I can tell you this, I would most assuredly haul my cookies out to the desert of Indio, CA to witness a reunion of The Smiths. Let’s see if such a reunion ever comes to pass.

This past Wednesday we awoke to the wonderful news that Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum and current How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan is pregs with her first child with hubby Alexis Denisof and already the photogs have focused their eye on cutiepie Aly. Here are new pics of soon-to-be mama Hannigan out and about yesterday afternoon with a HUGE smile on her face as she made a beverage run:

At this point, Aly is far from showing any pregs protrusion but I’m sure it won’t be long before she starts bumping out ;) I am happily looking forward to seeing more photos of Alyson at various stages of her pregnancy because the thought of a baby Alyson Hannigan/Alexis Denisof hybrid THRILLS me to no end! Sooooo loving it!!

Britney Spears, after picking up her sons from pre-school, took her children Sean Preston and Jayden James for an afternoon of fun at the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Beverly Hills, CA yesterday to enjoy some family fun together. You may recall that Mr. Bones is ground zero for Hollywood celebs and their children to pick out their annual Halloween pumpkins and yesterday Brit Brit and her boys got in on the action. Here are a few pics of her pre-school pick-up and their visit to the pumpkin patch yesterday, including one photo that was posted on Brit‘s official website:

Britney wanted us to get these exclusive pictures up for you guys right away! She just sent them and they’re amazing pics of Britney with Sean Preston and Jayden James at a pumpkin patch. Britney tells us that the boys jumped on the “jumpin pumpkin” trampoline while she watched and laughed from the doorway. They all had a blast! Of course the paps were everywhere, including one who was hiding in a tree (he looks a lot like the big rabbit on the pumpkin next to him!). After finding the perfect pumpkins, Brit and the boys headed back home — where I am sure they are making some awesome jack-o-lanterns! Thanks for the photos, Britney! They’re so cute!

Awww … so cute! I am really diggin’ these regular updates and photo exclusives from BritneySpears.com. I must admit, I didn’t really believe their claim that they would be offering insider updates on a regular basis because the same promises were made by previous official Britney websites with updates being released very few and far between. Since BritneySpears.com went online last week, we’ve already been treated to some great info (like news that she would be appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and has begun work on a new dance routine for an as-yet unknown live performance or music video) and it looks like the updates will continue to come. Some might scoff that Britney is offering so much insider info (when she should be staying as private as possible) but it appears that she is well aware that her every move is chronicled anyway, so she might as well have control over of how some of the info is released to the public. She just keeps on, keepin’ on … and I’m glad that we’re allowed to be along for the ride.

NBC aired a new Thursday night edition of Saturday Night Live last night and offered a couple of really funny new politically-slanted skits. Last night’s ep featured a guest appearance by funnyman Will Ferrell reprising his role as George W. Bush offering a comedic official proclamation of endorsement for the campaign of John McCain (played by Darrell Hammond) and Sarah Palin (played by the amazing Tina Fey) for president and vice president respectively. Here is a group shot from the ep’s opening skit of the comics posing for a photo in the SNL Oval Office:

Appearing as President Bush on the primetime edition of “Saturday Night Live,” Will Ferrell offered his political “strategery” to Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin. Ferrell reprised his famed impression of the president on the live “Weekend Update” special Thursday to give an “impromptu” evening address to the nation. He spoke about the election between John McCain and Barack Obama — both candidates, he said, that are “heavily patriotized” and “display much characterization.” He then gave his endorsement to McCain and Palin, something that they apparently didn’t want. Ferrell said he was unaware that his approval ratings were low because he had several months ago declared the Oval Office a “bummer free zone.” Speaking to Fey again appearing as Palin, Ferrell informed her that her role as vice president was “the most important in the land” and that the “president can do nothing without checking with the vice president.” Fey corrected him that he had it backward. Eventually Darrell Hammond as McCain turned up to reluctantly receive the endorsement. The sketch between Ferrell and Fey was the meeting of two of the most popular political impressions in the show’s history. It might have been complete only if Chevy Chase stopped by as Gerald Ford, Dana Carvey appeared as H.W. Bush and Amy Poehler joined as Hillary Rodham Clinton. An alum to the NBC comedy show, Ferrell was the latest guest star to make an appearance on “SNL,” which has seen its ratings soar this election season. Fey has become a virtual cast member again, thanks to the popularity of her Palin impression.

OMG … LOL … these SNL skits keep gettin’ better. I just love how they are pulling out all the stops to ensure that this year’s political satire is so brills. It has been ages since SNL has been so Must See. But, as funny as this explanation of the Ferrell/Fey/Hammond skit is, nothing beats watching the real thing.
