Terrance Howard, who has been named the 2008 Homecoming Ambassador and Grand Marshal for Howard University’s Homecoming Festivities this weekend, got all dolled up in grand Drum Major apparel to lead the Howard University Showtime Marching Band in yesterday’s Homecoming Parade … and here are a few pics:

Poor Terrence is still reeling from the apparent surprise news that he has been fired from appearing in future Iron Man movies (it has been reported that he has been replaced by Don Cheadle for the role of James Rhodey Rhodes) but at least he was able to show his pride for Howard University this weekend. It must be said that Drum Major uniforms look horrible on anyone but Gwen Stefani so I applaud Terrence for getting in the gear and doing his thing for the mighty Howard Bisons! Unfortch for the Bisons, they lost to Morgan State in double overtime. Ah well, better luck next time … and Happy Homecoming!

Supermodel Heidi Klum took time out of her bizzy schedule of crowning the new winner of Project Runway and appearing as a milk maid in the newest Got Milk? campaign to spend an afternoon at the playground with her children this weekend. Here are a few cute pics of Heidi with her children Leni, Henry and Johan playin’ around at a park in Coldwater Canyon here in SoCal yesterday afternoon:

Her children are absolutely adorable … and I love how much time Heidi carves out of her schedule to play with them. I mean, I know that many celeb parents make spending time with their children a priority whenever possible but it’s always a nice feeling to see it actually happen. Heidi and her kids seem very fond of trips to the playground … and I can’t wait to see what the Klum-Samuels have planned for Halloween. We know that Heidi is a BIG Halloween fan (annually she throws the swankiest Halloween party in town) and her kids love playing dress-up so I am really looking forward to see what they’ve got up their sleeves by way of Halloween costumes.

Yesterday evening, David and I made our way to the Mondrian Hotel on the Sunset Strip for a nice romantical dinner at the Asia de Cuba restaurant and while I thought we had a nice night out together, I was reminded why I hate going to fancy schmancy restaurants around town. While I would say that the food was good, I would also contend that it was way over-priced, especially for what you get. I, personally, am more a fan of the $5 Aussie Chayze Froys at Outback than a $20+ appetizer at a hotel restaurant. I mean, it’s deffo a great place for folks who like to schmooze but I think I’d rather frequent a less pretentious establishment. That being said, David and I are meeting up with members of Le Gang^TM for a bite to eat at Ketchup later on tonight which offers 50% off their menu on Sundays ;)

David, sadly, flies back to NYC tonight and it looks like we won’t be able to see one another until Thanksgiving. We both have to be in our respective States to vote on November 4th and then I have a week-long trip in Detroit after. Needless to say, we’re gonna do our best to enjoy what little time we have left today.

I gotta say … Armani Underwear was gettin’ a whole lotta lurve right here on Pink is the new Blog earlier this year but in recent months, Calvin Klein undies (like the one modeled by our new friend Anthony) have been gettin’ a bit of play. You may recall that Calvins seem to be the undies of choice for model Justin Gaston as well. In any event, I don’t think it really matters what brand of underwear Anthony wears, I think he fills out nicely … wouldn’t you agree? Enjoy!!

Spike TV culled together various celebrities from the world of horror, sci-fi, superherodom and more to their annual Scream Awards which were held this year at the Greek Theater here in LA last night. Each year, Spike gives out awards that honor achievement in comics, fantasy, horror and sci-fi because, well, who else is gonna do it? Here are a few pics of some of the folks who came out to strut their stuff on the red carpet at the 2008 Spike Scream Awards last night:

Even tho the awards were handed out at the Greek Theater last night, we’re gonna hafta wait until the show airs on Spike at 9PM on Tuesday night. So, if you’re interested to know who took home awards in the categories of Best Science Fiction Movie, Best Villain, Most Memorable Mutilation, Holy S@#$! Scene of the Year and more then you’re gonna hafta tune on Tuesday night. I will say that Julie Benz (Dexter/Saw V actress who was nominated for Best Actress: Horror Movie or TV Show) looked utterly amazing on the red carpet. Marilyn Manson and Twiggy Ramirez made a supercute couple and Gary Oldman just rules the world. It should be noted that Smashing Pumpkins performed live at the awards last night so … it might be worth checking out. Now, I have no idea who won what but I am rootin’ for Ms. Benz to win her award. I can’t wait to watch the show to see if she ended up walking home with her very own Spike Scream Award.

Yesterday we saw pics of David Beckham and his wifey Vicki B. stepping out on the town in London Friday night to enjoy their last meal in town before they packed up their shizz and made their way back to LA. Here are new pics of Les Beckhams making their way thru London’s Heathrow Airport as they left the UK and upon arrival here in the States at LA’s LAX Airport last night:

All week long, VB has been wearing scary-ass, deadly footwear but, perhaps in order to have a more comfortable journey, Vicki B. decided to wear a regular pair of high heeled shoes. Of course, she coupled the comfier shoes with skintight leggings so I’m not sure how comfortable she really was on her flight but … she’s Posh, whadda ya gonna do? It’ll be nice to have them home again, hopefully for some time. I think the sun shines brighter here in SoCal when David Beckham is in town … I know I do :)
