Yesterday we saw photos of model Justin Gaston struttin’ his stuff on the runway at the Ed Hardy fashion show held at Smashbox Studios for LA Fashion Week on Wednesday night and we learned that his 15-year old “friend”, Miley Cyrus, came out to show her support. It turns out that Miley positioned herself in the front row so that she could give Justin some good-natured ribbing from the crowd by flicking her tongue at him (her mother Tish Cyrus also got in on the teasing). The New York Post is reporting that in addition to Miley’s tongue flick (which didn’t seem that scandalous to me), she and Justin were “all over each other” backstage which kind of disturbs me to think about. MILEY Cyrus had better be careful. The precocious 15-year-old Disney star showed up to LA Fashion Week Wednesday to catch her 20-year-old boyfriend, Justin Gaston, walking in the Christian Audigier show – and eyebrows rose at the pair’s behavior. According to an eyewitness, Gaston and Cyrus – who was there with her mother, Leticia, and her manager – “were all over each other backstage.” The heat extended to the runway where, every time Gaston walked, he would blow a kiss and wink at his teenage girlfriend, who in turn, “licked her lips seductively as he passed her.” The source also overheard a conversation in which Cyrus told a friend that “she was probably staying at Justin’s tonight and that they were going to skip the after-party and have a party of their own.” A rep for Cyrus said, “Miley had a great time at the show, but the whole sleeping-over thing never happened. Miley went home with her mom and manager. Leticia is very strict with her.”

While I question a bit the level of strictness that the Cyrus parents may inflict on their celebrity daughter, I must admit that it makes no sense for her parents to be so blasé about the relationship that has sprung up between a 20-year old man and their 15-year old daughter. I seem to recall how outraged they were when Vanity Fair published that photo of her bare back earlier this year (a photo they approved of when it was shot, I might add) and yet not only have no problem with Miley “befriending” a 20-year old man but publicly endorse their “friendship”. I sincerely hope all this gossy talk is just that … gossy talk. I cannot for the life of me rationalize how a 15-year old girl should be seriously involved with a 20-year old man. To me, it just seems so wrong.

It’s been two days since we got official confirmation that Madonna and hubby Guy Ritchie have decided to divorce after almost 8 years of marriage. Since that announcement, Madonna has maintained her bizzy touring schedule, taking to the performance stage in Boston, MA on Wednesday (the same day that the divorce news broke) and again last night for the second Boston performance. Now, I’ve not been able to see the Sticky & Sweet World Tour for myself yet so I’m not sure if this is an everynight occurrence but at last night’s show, Madonna paused to take a shot of a drink, appearing to be toasting her impending singlehood:

I can’t believe that Madonna would be so callous as to make light of her impending divorce from Guy so it looked to me that she was just having harmless fun with her impending new status. It never seemed to me that she was grossly unhappy with Guy or that she was aching to get out of her marriage. Throwing back a shot or two on the concert stage seems more like fun thing rather than apathetic dismissal of her marriage. In any event, I think it’s safe to assume that whatever the outcome, whatever may happen … things will happen to Madonna’s satisfaction … and I’m sure she is always happy to drink a toast to that fact.

HMMM … it’s starting to look more and more like John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston have managed to rekindle their romantic affiliation with one another. Yesterday we saw pics of Jen and John each making their way out separately from the same hotel within moments of one another earlier this week and we learned that Jen made a special appearance at John’s pre-birthday party on Wednesday night. Yesterday was John’s actual 31st birthday and he hosted an intimate get-together at his SoCal home last night with, you guessed it, Jennifer Aniston. Here is a pic of Jen making her way into John’s home late last night:

It should be noted that it is entirely possible that Jen and John are “just friends” and that they have remained in contact since their break-up earlier this year … and it is in the realm of possibility that Jen has been spending all of this time lately with John purely to lend her support on his birthday as a friend … but … I have an inkling that the two of them are goin’ at it again. Mayerston really looked happily in lurve when they hooked up the the first time and John told us himself that the couple split up due to scheduling conflicts … mebbe their schedules got sorted out in such a way that they finally made time to make the sweet lurve once again. I, for one, am glad that Mayerston have gone back to their creepin’ ways. They seem well-suited to one another to me. Are any of y’all happy that they appear to be back together?

NBC aired another Thursday night edition of Saturday Night Live last night which featured a skit on the third and final presidential debate between Senators Barack Obama and John McCain (which had a few funny moments but didn’t really deliver for me) and an extended version of Weekend Update. By far the funniest part of the whole Thursday night ep of SNL was Kristen Wiig’s portrayal of that crazy lady at the McCain rally that was held last Friday. You may recall that a disheveled looking woman told McCain that she read that Obama was an “Arab” and he had to correct her to her face. While I found the exchange between this woman and McCain terribly upsetting, I’m glad that SNL was able to take the edge off her ignorance and find some humor in the whole situation:

Kristen Wiig is THE funniest castmember of Saturday Night Live right now (and, IMHO, has been for quite some time) so I’m glad that she was able to get in on some of the funny during this presidential campaign. She really did a great portrayal of this crazy lady in question (right down to her unkempt hair). Boo. It turns out that the dissolution of marriage doesn’t merely plague the high-powered, rich and famous … it also effects the parents of the high-powered, rich and famous. Naomi Foner has filed paperwork to end her 30+ year marriage to Stephen Gyllenhaal in California court this past Wednesday … the parents of Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal are dunzo, y’all:

Naomi Foner – the mother of Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal – has filed for divorce from their father, Stephen Gyllenhaal, Los Angeles court papers show. Married for 30 years, Foner – a Golden-Globe winning screenwriter with credits including Running on Empty and Losing Isaiah – cites irreconcilable differences. She says the couple has been separated since Jan. 1. Foner isn’t seeking spousal support, and she also asks the court to deny Gyllenhaal – a film director – any support.

This is really sad news, I think. I mean … it’s always sad when a couple breaks up but when someone’s parents split up it feels even sadder (btw, I never noticed how much Jake looks like his father and Maggie looks like her mother). While divorce like this really hurts younger children, like say Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s children, I’m sure it can still be very upsetting for older children, too. Because of my affinity for Jakey poo, I guess I just find news of this divorce especially sad. At least it sounds like the Gyllenhaals are being fair in these proceedings. The fact that neither one is seeking support from the other makes it sound like the split is amicable. Even still … it’s a bummer.

Lindsay Lohan has posted a new blog on her official My Space profile that was written, apparently, on a computer behind Samantha Ronson’s DJ decks at a club in Washington DC last night — really. In this new blogpost, Lindsay waxes poetic on feeling like an “outsider” sometimes when the attention of certain situations (like the one she was in while she was blogging) isn’t focused solely on her … and then, I think, she takes a dig at Sarah Palin or something. Yeah, instead of me trying to describe what she wrote how ’bout we just read exactly what she wrote:

all grown up and .. an outsider for some nights..

HMMM. As best as I can decipher, I think Lindsay is trying to convey the feeling of being a person who is outshined by someone else who happens to be enjoying all the attention while she is being overlooked. I’m not exactly sure what the point of this blogpost is but I do find it very fascinating that Linds is sometimes aware that she isn’t always the center of attention in every single instance. I don’t take her feeling like an outsider to any sort of jealousy of the attention that Samantha was receiving … it’s like she just suddenly became aware of this new feeling and decided to blog about it. Clearly it was something she wanted to get off her chest cuz she couldn’t wait to get home to blog about it … she decided to start writing right there in da club. Incidentally, I believe Sam was DJing at Lotus Lounge in DC for a charity event benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network (that is where these photos of the girls were taken). I quite like when Lindsay blogs … it gives us a very interesting look inside her life, inside her head … don’t you think?

After much hype and even more delay, BritneySpears.com has finally launched and is live right now. You may recall that at the start of this month we were told that Britney’s new official website would be launching “soon” but that registration for the site was underway at CircusVIP.com. Then, around the time that the Womanizer music video was to debut, BritneySpears.com started counting down … to something. Many folks believed the countdown was to the site’s official launch but the number reached zero — and nothing happened. Now, about a week later, the site is finally live and functional:

This is the first message posted to visitors of the site: Hey everyone!! Team Britney here! Brit’s sent us some awesome videos she shot recently and we’re so excited to show them to you! Brit was in Los Angeles doing some fun interviews for the site and the whole crew from Entertainment Tonight were outside the door in the next room waiting to talk to her! But Brit took some time out of her busy schedule to record a message for you guys! Hope you enjoy the vid! More later… bye!

The site offers a blog, videos, music, photos and “more coming soon”. The site is pretty bare as is it stands but I can see the potential for more to come … especially as the release date for her new album Circus nears.
