Zac Efron becomes a man tomorrow when the lad turns 21 years old and he revealed his birthday celebration plans to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the Hollywood premiere of his new movie High School Musical 3: Senior Year which took place at the Galen Center on the campus of the University Of Southern California last night:

Forget the bar! Zac Efron says he’s playing it low-key for his 21st birthday this Saturday. “I’m not going Vegas or anything like that,” he told Entertainment Tonight at Thursday’s premiere of High School Musical 3: Senior Year in L.A. “I’m sure I’ll have fun, but we’re not going to go big,” he said of his plans. “I’m going to lay low.” What does Efron’s girlfriend – and HSM costar – Vanessa Hudgens have in store for her beau’s big 2-1? “It’s a surprise,” she told ET. “But a good one!”

Ooh, I love surprises. I’m not sure how much I’m buying this innocent I’m gonna lay low for my 21st birthday bologna that Zac is trying to peddle. The kid is a mega-millionaire and it’s his 21st birthday, y’all. I’m sure the sparks are gonna fly. As far as Vanessa’s promise of a birthday surprise … would anyone care to venture a guess as to what she may have up her sleeve? Yesterday we got our first look at the cover of this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly, which features Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto as James T. Kirk and Spock respectively, as well as new photos from the set of the new JJ Abrams-directed Star Trek movie prequel. EW.com has updated their website with new outtake photos that will not be published in this week’s issue. Love it! Love it! Love it! I was geeked by the photos we got to see yesterday and I’m just as geeked by these extra outtake photos as well. The beloved Star Trek characters have been so well-cast with these fresh-faced young actors (and actresses) that I can’t wait to see them in action. I’m curious to see how JJ Abrams will be able to make the future technology in his movie look advanced without making it too advanced-looking so as not to make the original vision of the Star Trek future (made famous in the 1960’s series) look foolish. I trust that JJ will be able to pull it off … I can’t wait to see what he does with the world of Star Trek.

Heidi Klum has become the latest celeb to don the milk’stache in ads for the Got Milk? campaign as she is featured as a Bavarian milk maid in their newest Halloween-themed ad. Here is our first look at Heidi’s new Got Milk? ad:

Heidi sat down to film a little behind-the-scenes video on the shoot for this ad campaign and talked a bit about why she decided to sign up for the campaign, why she likes milk for her family and more. Early last week we learned that comedians Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel appear to have reignited their failed relationship in recent weeks. Friends of the couple say that Sarah and Jimmy had been “taking things slow” since they split in July and then were snapped attending Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky’s wedding in NYC together a couple of weekends ago. I’m not entirely sure when these photos were shot but I hope they were snapped in the past few weeks. I really like these two as a couple … they compliment one another so well and they look so cute together. I was really bummed when they announced they had called it quits but these photos give me renewed hope that love will flourish for the two of them.

Last Friday we saw pics of Britney Spears, with her father and conservator Jamie Spears in tow, picking up her children from their preschool in Encino, CA and today we get to see a couple more pics of Britney, once again, pickin’ up Sean Preston and Jayden James from school:

Wee! It looks to me like this may become a weekly occurrence. I love the sight of Britney with her kids. I think it is a very stabilizing thing for her young sons to enjoy regular quality time with their mother. I really hope that Britney’s weekly pick-up run at the boys’ school (leading into weekend visits with her) become the routine because I really think it will benefit both mother and children alike. It’s a great sight to see.

Wee … I am having a really great time with David here in SoCal with me. While we tend to do some pretty boring things when we are together, they are much more fun because we can be together. I’m sure those of you who are madly in lurve with someone can appreciate the appeal of just sitting together on the couch watching TV together :) I did have to break away from David for a few hours yesterday to get my hair rebleached and cut. It had grown a little unruly so I had to get it cleaned up and my roots refried. I’m now back to my golden blondeness. After my hair biz, David and I went out for a great sushi dinner at Taiyo in Hollywood. As we waited for my car at the valet stand, we saw Anthony Keidis enjoying a cup o’ joe at the Bourgeois Pig coffee shop on Franklin Ave.

That was pretty much my day. Tonight David and I are heading out for dinner and a movie, we’re gonna see W. at the ArcLight. Should be fun … I’m really looking forward to seeing the flick.
