Zac Efron becomes a man tomorrow when the lad turns 21 years old and he revealed his birthday celebration plans to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the Hollywood premiere of his new movie High School Musical 3: Senior Year which took place at the Galen Center on the campus of the University Of Southern California last night:

Forget the bar! Zac Efron says he’s playing it low-key for his 21st birthday this Saturday. “I’m not going Vegas or anything like that,” he told Entertainment Tonight at Thursday’s premiere of High School Musical 3: Senior Year in L.A. “I’m sure I’ll have fun, but we’re not going to go big,” he said of his plans. “I’m going to lay low.” What does Efron’s girlfriend – and HSM costar – Vanessa Hudgens have in store for her beau’s big 2-1? “It’s a surprise,” she told ET. “But a good one!”

Ooh, I love surprises. I’m not sure how much I’m buying this innocent I’m gonna lay low for my 21st birthday bologna that Zac is trying to peddle. The kid is a mega-millionaire and it’s his 21st birthday, y’all. I’m sure the sparks are gonna fly. As far as Vanessa‘s promise of a birthday surprise … would anyone care to venture a guess as to what she may have up her sleeve? Yesterday we got our first look at the cover of this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly, which features Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto as James T. Kirk and Spock respectively, as well as new photos from the set of the new JJ Abrams-directed Star Trek movie prequel. EW.com has updated their website with new outtake photos that will not be published in this week’s issue. Love it! Love it! Love it! I was geeked by the photos we got to see yesterday and I’m just as geeked by these extra outtake photos as well. The beloved Star Trek characters have been so well-cast with these fresh-faced young actors (and actresses) that I can’t wait to see them in action. I’m curious to see how JJ Abrams will be able to make the future technology in his movie look advanced without making it too advanced-looking so as not to make the original vision of the Star Trek future (made famous in the 1960′s series) look foolish. I trust that JJ will be able to pull it off … I can’t wait to see what he does with the world of Star Trek.

Heidi Klum has become the latest celeb to don the milk’stache in ads for the Got Milk? campaign as she is featured as a Bavarian milk maid in their newest Halloween-themed ad. Here is our first look at Heidi‘s new Got Milk? ad:

Heidi sat down to film a little behind-the-scenes video on the shoot for this ad campaign and talked a bit about why she decided to sign up for the campaign, why she likes milk for her family and more. Early last week we learned that comedians Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel appear to have reignited their failed relationship in recent weeks. Friends of the couple say that Sarah and Jimmy had been “taking things slow” since they split in July and then were snapped attending Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky‘s wedding in NYC together a couple of weekends ago. I’m not entirely sure when these photos were shot but I hope they were snapped in the past few weeks. I really like these two as a couple … they compliment one another so well and they look so cute together. I was really bummed when they announced they had called it quits but these photos give me renewed hope that love will flourish for the two of them.

Last Friday we saw pics of Britney Spears, with her father and conservator Jamie Spears in tow, picking up her children from their preschool in Encino, CA and today we get to see a couple more pics of Britney, once again, pickin’ up Sean Preston and Jayden James from school:

Wee! It looks to me like this may become a weekly occurrence. I love the sight of Britney with her kids. I think it is a very stabilizing thing for her young sons to enjoy regular quality time with their mother. I really hope that Britney‘s weekly pick-up run at the boys’ school (leading into weekend visits with her) become the routine because I really think it will benefit both mother and children alike. It’s a great sight to see.

Wee … I am having a really great time with David here in SoCal with me. While we tend to do some pretty boring things when we are together, they are much more fun because we can be together. I’m sure those of you who are madly in lurve with someone can appreciate the appeal of just sitting together on the couch watching TV together :) I did have to break away from David for a few hours yesterday to get my hair rebleached and cut. It had grown a little unruly so I had to get it cleaned up and my roots refried. I’m now back to my golden blondeness. After my hair biz, David and I went out for a great sushi dinner at Taiyo in Hollywood. As we waited for my car at the valet stand, we saw Anthony Keidis enjoying a cup o’ joe at the Bourgeois Pig coffee shop on Franklin Ave.

That was pretty much my day. Tonight David and I are heading out for dinner and a movie, we’re gonna see W. at the ArcLight. Should be fun … I’m really looking forward to seeing the flick.

Yesterday we saw photos of model Justin Gaston struttin’ his stuff on the runway at the Ed Hardy fashion show held at Smashbox Studios for LA Fashion Week on Wednesday night and we learned that his 15-year old “friend”, Miley Cyrus, came out to show her support. It turns out that Miley positioned herself in the front row so that she could give Justin some good-natured ribbing from the crowd by flicking her tongue at him (her mother Tish Cyrus also got in on the teasing). The New York Post is reporting that in addition to Miley‘s tongue flick (which didn’t seem that scandalous to me), she and Justin were “all over each other” backstage which kind of disturbs me to think about. Here are a couple pics of Miley and her mother teasing Justin as he walked past them on the runway and the report from Page Six:

MILEY Cyrus had better be careful. The precocious 15-year-old Disney star showed up to LA Fashion Week Wednesday to catch her 20-year-old boyfriend, Justin Gaston, walking in the Christian Audigier show – and eyebrows rose at the pair’s behavior. According to an eyewitness, Gaston and Cyrus – who was there with her mother, Leticia, and her manager – “were all over each other backstage.” The heat extended to the runway where, every time Gaston walked, he would blow a kiss and wink at his teenage girlfriend, who in turn, “licked her lips seductively as he passed her.” The source also overheard a conversation in which Cyrus told a friend that “she was probably staying at Justin’s tonight and that they were going to skip the after-party and have a party of their own.” A rep for Cyrus said, “Miley had a great time at the show, but the whole sleeping-over thing never happened. Miley went home with her mom and manager. Leticia is very strict with her.”

While I question a bit the level of strictness that the Cyrus parents may inflict on their celebrity daughter, I must admit that it makes no sense for her parents to be so blasé about the relationship that has sprung up between a 20-year old man and their 15-year old daughter. I seem to recall how outraged they were when Vanity Fair published that photo of her bare back earlier this year (a photo they approved of when it was shot, I might add) and yet not only have no problem with Miley “befriending” a 20-year old man but publicly endorse their “friendship”. I sincerely hope all this gossy talk is just that … gossy talk. I cannot for the life of me rationalize how a 15-year old girl should be seriously involved with a 20-year old man. To me, it just seems so wrong.

It’s been two days since we got official confirmation that Madonna and hubby Guy Ritchie have decided to divorce after almost 8 years of marriage. Since that announcement, Madonna has maintained her bizzy touring schedule, taking to the performance stage in Boston, MA on Wednesday (the same day that the divorce news broke) and again last night for the second Boston performance. Now, I’ve not been able to see the Sticky & Sweet World Tour for myself yet so I’m not sure if this is an everynight occurrence but at last night’s show, Madonna paused to take a shot of a drink, appearing to be toasting her impending singlehood:

I can’t believe that Madonna would be so callous as to make light of her impending divorce from Guy so it looked to me that she was just having harmless fun with her impending new status. It never seemed to me that she was grossly unhappy with Guy or that she was aching to get out of her marriage. Throwing back a shot or two on the concert stage seems more like fun thing rather than apathetic dismissal of her marriage. In any event, I think it’s safe to assume that whatever the outcome, whatever may happen … things will happen to Madonna‘s satisfaction … and I’m sure she is always happy to drink a toast to that fact.

HMMM … it’s starting to look more and more like John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston have managed to rekindle their romantic affiliation with one another. Yesterday we saw pics of Jen and John each making their way out separately from the same hotel within moments of one another earlier this week and we learned that Jen made a special appearance at John‘s pre-birthday party on Wednesday night. Yesterday was John‘s actual 31st birthday and he hosted an intimate get-together at his SoCal home last night with, you guessed it, Jennifer Aniston. Here is a pic of Jen making her way into John‘s home late last night:

It should be noted that it is entirely possible that Jen and John are “just friends” and that they have remained in contact since their break-up earlier this year … and it is in the realm of possibility that Jen has been spending all of this time lately with John purely to lend her support on his birthday as a friend … but … I have an inkling that the two of them are goin’ at it again. Mayerston really looked happily in lurve when they hooked up the the first time and John told us himself that the couple split up due to scheduling conflicts … mebbe their schedules got sorted out in such a way that they finally made time to make the sweet lurve once again. I, for one, am glad that Mayerston have gone back to their creepin’ ways. They seem well-suited to one another to me. Are any of y’all happy that they appear to be back together?
