Yesterday we got to see a few pics from the Diesel xXx Rock & Roll Circus event that took place in NY over the weekend and got an eyeful of M.I.A. on stage proudly showing off her burgeoning baby bump. Today we get confirmation from the woman herself that, yes, she is with child:

British artist M.I.A. finally put rumors to rest when she confirmed on Saturday that she is pregnant with her first child. “I’m creating a baby,” the singer, 31, told Pitchfork Media. The news came on top of the success of her single “Paper Planes.” “When I found out I was pregnant and ‘Paper Planes’ was in the iTunes top 10, it seemed like the whole world was reshuffled in one week, and all my plans went out the window,” the artist said. “I’ve got two kids, that’s what it feels like. And that’s the lesson – you can’t make plans.” She and fiancé Ben Brewer, lead singer and guitarist of The Exit, did not reveal when the baby is due or the gender, but they made sure their fans knew they are serious about having a child. “I got engaged first, then I got pregnant, kids,” M.I.A. said. The singer also told Pitchfork she’s recording some tracks for her new album, a follow up to 2008’s Kala. But before she gets started on any new projects, she has to go on a different kind of tour. “I have to do the rounds – go see my family and show them the belly.”

Yeah, while this info isn’t really news, especially considering how big her bump has grown, I do appreciate all the extra info that M.I.A. dishes in this new interview. Glad to see that she didn’t put the cart before the horse and decided to get engaged before deciding to start a family. I am also thrilled to know that M.I.A. has already begun work on her next album … I was very worried when she announced her retirement from making music last June. Now I’m all excited for her two new projects … her new baby and her new album :)

Last Friday we got to see a few pics of Ryan Phillippe and girlfriend Abbie Cornish spending an afternoon with his children Ava and Deacon and today we get to see what mommy Reese Witherspoon has been up to. Here are new pics of Reese with her beloved Jake Gyllenhaal as they strolled the streets of London, England this weekend (hand-in-hand at times) doing a bit of laughing and shopping together. It pains me, as ever, to admit … they really do look cute together:

I understand that that little white bag that Reese is carrying is from Myla lingerie store. Yes, it would appear that things are coming along nicely betwixt these two. Jakey poo has taken to keeping his longer hair underwraps again … and even tho I think he looks quite fetching in his Fall outfit and knit hat combo, I would much prefer to see how his longer locks have been doing lately. They really do look happy don’t they? Yeah, it kills me, too.

Melanie Brown, the artist formerly known as Scary Spice, is venturing into Sporty Spice territory with the release of her new work-out video titled Totally Fit: Mel B. Due to hit stores on Boxing Day in the UK (December 26), Mel’s new work-out video is her latest attempt to stay relevant in the minds of those who may be losing interest in her since the end of the Spice Girls Reunion Tour early this year and her stint on Dancing with the Stars before that. No question, Mel B. looks sensational in these screencaps. It would appear that if you want to look as good as Mel B. does, all you have to do is follow her 23-day work-out plan to get “totally fit”. I’m not sure how well this work-out DVD will fare in the UK but I don’t suppose it has the same chance of success (if any) here in the US. At best, folks on this side of the pond remember her most recently from Dancing with the Stars but I don’t really think that she has enough recognition to sell these sorts of DVDs here in the States. Her most recent attempt to capture the hearts of Americans came in the form of the very short-lived series The Singing Office which aired briefly on TLC early in the Summer. Even still, I must applaud the Scary one for her zealous attempts to keep workin’ as best she can. Are any of y’all interested in working out with Mel B. and her DVD?

Sad news to report this AM … Lance Bass sat down for a little tête-à-tête with After Elton to talk about various topics of interest and ended up revealing that he and Sebastian Leal are dunzo. Sad but true. Lance’s curious comments in this new interview suggest that he and Sebastian were never “boyfriends” but I tend to believe otherwise. In any event, whether or not they were “officially” betrothed to one another is moot as Lance has made clear that he is unattached to anyone right now. In Lance’s interview he talks about the usual things going on in his life, including his stint on Dancing with the Stars, his distaste for the idea of forcibly outing people and his work to oppose Proposition 8 here in California. Then the subject turns to his “boyfriend” Sebastian Leal to which Lance replies, “Well, I don’t have a boyfriend.” He goes on to say, “You get seen with one person and that’s automatically your boyfriend.” It seemed pretty clear to me that, at the very least, Lance was involved with Mr. Leal for a good portion of this summer so it is a bit of a bummer to know that they are no longer together. I suspect that Lance is shying away from any attachment labels either to try and minimize the conversation about his private life or to keep his options open (or both). In any event, I suspect we’ll be seeing much less of Leal from here on out. I suppose it won’t be long until we see Lance cuddling up to some other guy who may be “automatically” assumed to be his boyfriend. If his record holds, Lance doesn’t tend to stay unattached for long.

Yesterday I posted a newslink reporting that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony decided to renew their wedding vows in a spur-of-the-moment ceremony in the wee hours of Sunday morning at Caesars Palace’s Forum Tower Penthouse. Today, People magazine has all of the inside deets from the impromptu ceremony (which was a joint wedding ceremony with NY Mets player Carlos Beltran and his wife Jessica, it turns out). When it came to saying their “I dos” again, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony doubled the fun, joining New York Mets outfielder Carlos Beltran and his wife Jessica for a joint ceremony, PEOPLE has learned. “Carlos gave his wife a specially engraved ring and gave Marc and Jennifer special rings as gifts,” a source told PEOPLE exclusively. “Carlos and Jessica renewed their vows first, then Jennifer and Marc went.” The vows came after a private dinner at Bradley Ogden and a good night rolling the dice. “They were both winning at the craps table and Marc kept saying that it was going to be a lucky night,” the source said. And as luck would have it, it was “nearly flawless,” added the source. “Initially, they were supposed to do the ceremony outside on the suite’s balcony but it was too cold, so they had to move it inside. That was the only thing that didn’t go according to plan.” Inside, the couples were wed in the Caesars Palace’s newly renovated Forum Tower Penthouse in the suite’s rotunda. The suite only reopened Saturday, making Lopez and Anthony the first people to stay there since the renovation. “Marc actually said the suite was so beautiful that it deserved it’s own zip code,” the source said. “He thought it was perfect.” Wearing a black dress, Lopez looked “beautiful” as 12 people witnessed the ceremony, the source said. “Her parents didn’t even see it because they were with the babies.” Following the nuptials, a butler opened a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne for the newly re-married couples.

Ahh … such are the lifestyles of the rich and famous. I suppose there is a smidge of romance to all of this spontaneity. While I’ll be the first to confess that I never really saw J. Lo and Marc together as a couple it is very clear that they are and have always been crazy in love with one another. Now that the couple have newborn twin babies to add to their happiness … well, I really can’t do anything other than wish them congrats and much more love in their lives together. Congrats, again, LopAnthony!

Vicki B. was on the move again this weekend as the robotic one was seen making her way thru LAX Airport here in SoCal bound, reportedly for London, England. Hubby David Beckham has been in England for the past week or so training and playing with the English National Soccer Team and it appears that VB decided to make her way to that side of the pond to be with him. VB showed up at LAX wearing a very prim, proper and pilgrim-y looking outfit … behold:

I mean, I get that Fall has finally made its presence known here in SoCal with the cooler temps. this weekend but for VB to completely bypass Halloween and skip right to her Thanksgiving attire … well, I think it’s a bit much. Fortunately, VB decided to leave her musket rifle at home because don’t you think she would’ve had a devil of a time trying to get that accessory thru security? HMMM.

UPDATE: A few Pink readers have reminded me that today is Thanksgiving in Canada … so mebbe Posh’s outfit is a nod to the Canucks today ;) In any event, Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian peoples today … have some turkey for me!!
